The Warning - Dust to Dust REACTION 

The proud look on Ryan's face is like watching your kid skate around the rink for the first time.

Remember that this opening track is the prologue to the album but also the last moment of the story and where we are at the funeral of the character. Like a movie when you start with the funeral and then look back what led to the situation.

The thing that impresses me about this performance beyond the incredible music is Pau's complete command of the stage. There are seasoned professionals who don't have Pau's stage presence. For a sixteen year old, her stage presence is phenomenal. She owns that stage and everyone around it.

In the live version, pau sounds even more scratchy and rougher. That's why I think the live version is better. Thats my favorite song from warning

Lunario has the most energy. Foro Didi has great lighting, but the sound is not always live from the board. I would stick with Lunario or The Whisky.

Ale's bass is mixed better in this live performance than the studio version. Great reaction studio vs live idea!

Live @ Lunario CDMX on Nov 25th 2018 are the best versions IMO...Ale's bass is right up front in the mix. As it should be with a 3pc.

I think you guys should stick with the Lunario concert videos. Sound quality is really good.

I honestly prefer the live versions of all their songs. And even though they struggled with the altitude of Mexico City, the Lunario performance is outstanding. There are cleaner sounding versions and better filmed videos but the energy and passion of Lunario really appeals to me. Dany's ability to become the character in QOTMS is completely entrancing. The instrumentals were also almost perfect as well and played with enthusiasm.

The only bad thing about watching The Warning videos is that you need to watch each one three times because all three of the women are so good at what they do that you don't want to miss a thing. Fortunately this is not a problem since this band is so awesome.

If I am not mistaken, at the point of this concert, they did not have an audio engineer, so they probably did their own live setup and I have seen videos on RU-vid where Pau says that they program the backing tracks themselves into Ableton, and of Dani explaining how many hours she spent programming her Line 6 Helix LT sound processor with all the live profiles for this album. Also this was the first official live performance of this album in front of a crowd and it is at 1.5 miles of altitude, so killer on the lungs.

This live version seems to be quite often the very first reaction to any of their stuff for many youtubers. The first words are often... WHOA THE DRUMMER IS SINGING?!

Nathan, also take into consideration, they played this live at over 7,500 Feet ( that's 2,285m in Canadian. LOL) in elevation in Mexico City. Thin air! Also, this track is what they OPEN shows with, and it just gets better from there!

Oh Nathan, fasten your seat belt! You are about to experience a rollercoaster of sounds and emotions... Ryan, as almost everybody said, the Lunario videos are the best option for Nathan to enjoy the full energy of the performances, with the exception of DULL KNIVES, which i highly recommend to do the De(Tour) version, in my opinion that’s their best performance and sound of the song to date. Looking forward to the next reactions!

I like the live version better as a rock song, but there is something about the studio version that just has this "spooky/haunting" sound that makes the song seem more mysterious. That subtle almost whispering voice has great emotional impact. Both are incredible.

Prepare yourself Nathan. It's about to get real.

Happy New Year...or as you Canadians call it, Happy Ass Hats Day! More Warning!

One thing to remember is that their hometown is near sea level, and this show was in Mexico City - around 7000' elevation. Later in the show you'll hear and see them gasping a little bit, which shows that they are really singing and playing - with some added enhancement tracks a la Nightwish. Mostly sound effects and extra instrumentation. The Warning, along with Motion Device and Liliac, ARE the next Gen rockers. BAND-MAID is tearing it up too. Looking forward to your journey through the album.

Some like the Live version some like the studio. I like both. But with the studio version you can catch some sounds that you don't easily catch Live for example Pau's drumming technique in the fast part of this song. I am not a drummer but I like how that bass drum sounds there Which I can barely catch in Live version. So do both. First studio then live in one video! Haha

on a side note regarding their gear, i love that they use orange amps, cause I use an orange crush 20 :D

Awesome reaction, guys. My vote is to watch the videos from the Lunario concert. The sound of some songs may be a little better in other venues, but they don't match the energy and atmosphere of Lunario.

It starts off dark and only gets darker...

A little over a year ago, the Enter Sandman cover showed up in my recommendations. The link to this Lunario version showed up at the end. About half way through this song I became an insta-fan. And Nathan, it's o ly my fifth favorite from this album now. You are in store for a journey. Ryan, how dare you accuse Pau of being high! Your card is getting no closer this way. Seriously guys, I love this format. I would suggest sticking to the Lunario versions. They are not always the best, but they are consistant as they were all recorded in the same place at the same time. There was the excitement of revealing their masterpiece in full for the first time. Because of this it carries a certain sentimentality wit it as well at least for me. The funny thing is that I hadn't even heard of them when this was recorded, somehow though, I still get sentimental (or maybe just mental).

Everyone will tell you to watch Lunario. It's the best show they've had, highest production values. Sound wise it's not great. You've heard some of the songs from XXI CB they played there. You can hear them gasping for breath. The Foro Didi show has better vocals. The Whisky 2019 show has better vocals. They weren't as flashy, but they sounded better.
