Agree. Great decision. Still sucked for us who went to that GnR show in Knoxville TN hoping to see The Warning. Very happy for them. Hope they made alot of new fans. They deserve it. Love The Warning!!!!😁
MTV has been introduced to what real rock is with these performances. Their showmanship was pure fire! No doubt they are now noticed! Congratulations on your 100 release 🎉🎉
They have a BTS video of the MTV VMA performance on their Patreon and one of the producers of MTV said after they performed 'HOLY SH*T' and he had the mic on to his employees and they all heard what he said. He also said that he is now a fan. I believe they will get MTV main stage next year if that producer has his way.
Yeah I saw that. I'm sure this was a huge relief to have something fresh and fun and not what we saw the entire rest of the show. They will be back 🤘🏻⚡ Keep on Rockin' ⚡🤘🏻
The Warning has so much going for them. Their sound is unique and as one when they play because they’re all in sync and have been for years. Plus their enormous talent in playing, singing, songwriting, composing their music, but above that, is their stage presence, the connection with their fans and even at a higher level their purity, absolute beauty and class on and off stage. They don’t drink, smoke or cuss! Myself being Mexican American and bilingual, I am truly proud of these extraordinary and talented young ladies. **NOTE** most of their songs are first written in Spanish, then translated to English **
Yeah they are really coming into their own here and I love it! Im so excited for them and I can not wait to see what comes next. As you said; They are at a higher level of purity and talent and don't fall into that rock star pit, and are amazing for what and who they are! I am here for it: 🤘🏻⚡Keep on Rockin ⚡🤘🏻
I seriously think this 2023 MTV VMA performance will prove to be just as much of a career "ignition" point, inflection point, as their original viral "Enter Sandman" cover was.
Yes, this was definitely The Warning's best 2 song performances, and the girls sure knew this would be global. And, The Warning just dropped a BTS video from the MTV VMA trip for Patreon members. One of the best parts was the reaction from the MTV people.....
MTV gave each performers three tries to get it right before the camera but lo and behold the warning came through and did it in one take that is completely awesome 😎🤘🤘
It is a shame what MTV has become, hopefully this brilliant performance will change things. Congratulations on your "technically" 100th video, you rock. ❤✌🤘
Well it's stupid because #1, they don't even play music anymore. It's all "wives of this" and "people from this shore". Then we have to stop and wonder where this stupid influence and sexualization of our kids come from. Well, as I said, those other artists aren't helping by acting all slutty. Oh and thanks so much..."technically" lol. 🤘🏻⚡Keep on Rockin' ⚡🤘🏻
Nothing will EVER compare to that earth shattering SCREAM! "This is who you should look up to... and this is what women in music should be..." You said it Dane!! 💙🤘
You nailed it. I personally don’t care how someone dress themselves, but it’s so common to see people with a so-so talent using their bodies as a desperate way of self-promotion, and these 3 badasses don’t need that. They dress stylish and fancy but they basically just use their talents to smash it. Their presence on stage is remarkable. They could be wear a day-to-dayt-shirt and jeans and the result would be the same: energy and good music, period.
You said it!! I think this was what I was trying to get across but could not get out the words. I agree, they dressed stylish and fancy and looked amazing! Not trashy.
I 100% agree and have mentioned this in other videos on The Warning..they don't need to dress skimpy or trashy to get attention...they get it in spades with the music they perform. The talent is on display and I'm here for it, I love the way Dany, Pau and Ale put a show on.
Every group on the extended stage was given three chances to get it right. They got it in one take. 😮😮😮 You should react to their performance this week in Santiago and Buenos Aires, the public there was something MORE 😂😂😂
How insane is that? Professional artists, singers, etc, who need 3 tries to sing their own song. AND......most of them lip-synced anyway. Garbage in my mind, but as I said, then there is The Warning! Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check that out. I think next I am going to dig back a bit, but, more to come.
There is an entertainment value component and a music quality component to the music industry. When the two are in balance, the world is good for everyone. But for years the industry has been skewed toward the entertainment side of things to the detriment of the music. That's why any of us who love music cringe whenever we watch what has been going on with MTV lately. That started about thirty years and yes, it is degrading to women as it definitely objectifies them, regardless of their inherent talent as songwriters, musicians, and performers. You're right. TW performances here are such a glaring contrast to the norm for MTV. These are truly gifted musicians, songwriters, and performers. And they are doing it their own way, counter to the prevailing "wisdom" of the music industry. That is why I'm confident they are in the process of changing music, forcing the pendulum back toward an emphasis on the quality of the music. Those who have watched this have seen the future of music, the foundation for the return of Rock as the driving force behind mainstream music, and perhaps a new direction for the industry where the artist has a good bit more control over their product.
What bothers me the most though is how this affects the kids. It no wonder the sexualization of children is a problem when you see stuff like this and this is who they are to look to? Not a fan, but yes The Warning, as I am sure, is already starting to change this for many young women and I love it!! Cheers.
Yeah, Dane, words are not enough to describe these two performances. At least one of the two fans you pointed out singing along is one of TW's Patreons. He tells a great story of the entire event. So much fun. There is no question that the music industry has been WARNED. I will admit that even a month ore more after these performances were released that I cannot watch them with dry eyes. So proud of them. MORE is so much fun and a study in contrast. The video and recording have such a different feel than when they play it live. In person it is one of their hardest hitting songs. Like it pounds right through you. And it is only three of them making all that noise.
Words are not enough, and you saw my attempt 😂 -Yeah so I came to learn about that fan and that is amazing. I would have loved to have been there, as would most of us. This version of MORE was heavier than the MV and I dig it, they really did Warn the world with this! Viva The Warning 🤘🏻⚡ Keep on Rockin' ⚡🤘🏻
Love your rant @ 5:20. Right there with you Dane. Fun Fact: 95% of the audience had no idea who they were. "Who is The Warning?" was being asked before they played. The VMA show boosted Subscribers over 12k within 1 week of the MTV release of the videos. And the videos were done in ONE TAKE. Just amazing....and the SOUND in MORE was so damn solid, I would say it went from POP to ROCK!!
Isn't that insane, everyone knew the other performers, who were subpar and lip-syncing and using multiple takes, and then you have TW.......That performance was amazing and will be referenced a bunch. And yes, this version of MORE is my favorite. Crushing Thanks so much for the comment and support! 🤘🏻⚡ Keep on Rockin' ⚡🤘🏻
They did the best anyone could ever do on a first major public performance. Yes, they've been around for awhile but the VMAs is still a huge deal. For a side-stage performance that got aired, this is just insane. This is a performance that would be studied for generations.
@@DaneBramageROCKS she is an introvert so she's going to let her sisters shine. I'm hoping her mom will have a talk with her and look out. With some encouragement...🤯.
Never get tired of hearing these songs. Loved your reactions to them and especially your comments about talent, character, professionalism, and how people present themselves. That's why we are love The Warning so much! They are what rock should be!
I'm with you. That was, by far, the most torturous screen time (minus The Warning) I have EVER experienced. It took everything I had to sit through it, which I did, because I wanted to see any and all live footage of DPA, when it happened. I'm so glad they were on the show! It was a definite career boosting move for them. These two performances were absolutely stunning!
You did better than I did, I couldn't watch it. I tried, I was just getting mad, lol. And disgusted....but yes, The Warning. The world has been WARNED.
It's refreshing to see three beautiful women get on a stage and play their own music and sing their own music live while not using sex to sell it. I'm so tired of all the pop prostitutes shaking their butts and lip syncing because they lack actual talent. The Warning are actually positive roll models for young girls today, and they are amazing young women
Thanks for doing this! I love these performances. It's the hardest rocking version of More I've ever heard, but then to kill it with EVOLVE! It's my favorite version now, it's face melting!
You should check out the VMA aftermovie to see that the production staff at MTV were floored. The stage producer caught them coming off the stage. On camera he said he was impressed, and then lost it, he shouted out, "holy sh1t!!!!!"
TW are sass with class. They don't sexualize themselves, don't use foul and vulgar language. Pau didn't throw in F-Bombs where most rock bands would have. When they came off stage, one of the MTV backstage staff members, he may have been the backstage manager, said, "Holy s#!t you are awesome! I am a fan!" into his hot headset mic to everyone. He lost his mind and what he was doing. TW only needed one take to record each song. The other two bands needed multiple takes. Each band had up to 3 attempts to get their recordings right. TW was the only band from the Extended Stage to be announced at the main event.
Believe it or not, some trolls on the original videos believed that they were actually lip synching and performing to a playback track. I guess that says a lot about how artificial the rest of the VMAs have become and how some people can’t believe bands are capable of actually playing and singing this well live.
Dany is adorable. Ale is known for loving treats, Pau for loving Panda Express and Dany for her love of donuts. At there last show in south America Dany grabbed a large inflatable donut from the audience and wore it on her head at the start of Enter Sandman. She is just an adorable goofy at times
Great reaction, The Warning are awesome... 🤘🤘 Congrats on your "100th" milestone Dane... 👏 As for your assessment of the VMAs Dane, that's why we're metalheads man, its all about great music and real talent... 🤘🤘
Thanks so much, I enjoyed the heck out of this one. Appreciate it, can't believe this grew as it did! 💯 True talent, no B.S., no fake.....all ROCK! Cheers. 🤘🏻⚡ Keep on Rockin' ⚡🤘🏻
First, congratulations on your milestone with more to come, no doubt. I look forward to seeing your reactions to our favorite band, love your enthusiasm! Cheers.
I just watched the MTV VMA aftermovie they posted on patreon. Two of the MTV producers commented to the point where they are now fans. Additionally, they played with no click track. Apparently there was a tech issue. This makes this performance even better.
I love the backing and support from this rant, LOL. But, enough is enough and this is why I do not support MTV, that genre, or the "artists" who display this stuff!
Hi Dane, I’ve been trying to verify this. Someone said that 90% of that audience had not heard The Warning and didn’t know what they were in for. I’ve been led to believe TW performed “More” first, by design or otherwise, to warm up the audience. If that’s the case, it surely worked. They had that audience wrapped around their fingers by the end, then totally owned that room by the end of “Evolve”. But maybe that’s not how it happened. If I understood rightly, you watched that show, or at least witnessed it. Was that how it went down? Thanks for your reviews. It’s so good to see a genuine fan.
I can speak to the order of the songs, but MORE was new at the time and more pop'ish so it probably related more to the people who would be watching, just to drawn them in, then once they were in, here comes the one-two punch and the knockout! Even the stage manger was caught saying "H*ly Sh!t" after the songs cause he was blown away. Became an instant fan!
Here's a little piece featuring The Warning that I only just found a few days ago. It's The Warning and Euca Sativa -soundcheck from C3, Guadalajara. Pau is on the drums, but obscured behind Ale, and Eruca's drummer is using a drum pad. It's pretty good, mostly Spanish lyrics, but a little bit in English, and it doesn't have a lot of views. I think it deserves more. Plus, several days ago Eruca Sativa played at Cafe Iguana in Monterrey Mwexico and invited Dany on stage to sing with them, song called Fuera o Mas Alia. Dany's vocals on this are just fire.
Yeah someone else said that as well. I just recorded this as they were released on their YT Channel! But yeah, MORE in to EVOLVE, I mean what a one-two punch!
You're spot on with your observations! Thing is, I don't think DPA go out of their way to dress more modest than they're contemporaries, it's just who they are.
Guaranteed, they made a BUNCH of new fans with that performance, even the guys handling the sound and such were going *"HOLY SH^T!!"* 😲as they came off the stage!😂 If MTV had any brains, they'd bring the music videos back, and maybe, just maybe, they'd be relevant again.😉 I'm sure The Warning could get them started with a few of their own amazing music vids!😉 It's really refreshing to see these amazing young ladies bringing rock back without having to flaunt their charms, and instead concentrating on flaunting their crazy good talents as musicians and singers. Being gorgeous already doesn't hurt, but they don't capitalize on it!!😍😄👍👍
This is my favortie comment "If MTV had any brains, they'd bring the music videos back" I have been saying that FOREVER. Good thing is, we are steadily seeing TW shows getting bigger and selling more tickets.
I'm glad you pointed out the cowbell, it always makes things better. Some of my favorite songs use the cowbell. I'm very new to this band and I absolutely love them. So very talented and somehow they're even better live than in the studio. I think they feed off the audience energy and really enjoy what they do. Can't wait to see them live!
I agree whole-heartedly, Dane that the scene of the these awards shows in general are really hard to watch. The Warning are such a great example going forward. Hopefully change for the better.
I totally get your comment about how they present themselves, and how others try too hard with the wrong presentation. If you’re a singer or musician, put the focus and your singing and musicianship. The warning has always been very careful about this - in fact, the VMAs was the most dressed up they’ve ever been, but that is the expectation, and they did it in a way appropriate to their genre. I think we all see them as artists first and don’t give a lot of thought beyond that. For me, I find this topic ever more humorous because I actually inadvertently delayed my introduction to The Warning, for this very reason. Somewhere, just over a year ago, a thumbnail for Money kept popping up in RU-vid sidebar. I kept ignoring it, assuming it was some American band that had just a pretty face as their lead - in all fairness, it was Dany’s jacket…. Anyways, after quite some time I finally thought “well, it keeps showing up, maybe I should give it a listen.” Man, was I ever surprised!
Yeah and when people start to dig into their back story and how they came to be, really solidifies that hold they have on the industry. Not just some studio put together band, but and actual family and bond that you don't get by just forming with friends. Its awesome!
Muy buena reacción felicitaciones,y gracias por mostrar a estas 3 chicas poderosas, no sabía nada de ellas hasta hace mes y medio, guauu y ahora soy otro advertido soy un fan mas!, saludos cordiales desde Venezuela.
Great reaction, Dane! These sisters are overwhelmingly talented!! EPIC live performances at VMAs! if you want to get pumped even more you should watch TW's concert at Vorterix Theater, Argentina! This is the craziest concert you will ever see. I was there and it was a beyond amazing experience! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
This is one of those that will go down in histroy for them and will be referenced often. I love it. I keep hearing about that venue and Brazil!! I am absolutely checking those out!
@@DaneBramageROCKS ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WqLcInuIFKA.html The crowd chanted Dany's guitar riffs! Also I was at Meet & Greet! Unforgettable day!
Congratulations on 100. Good timing the girls just released their behind the scenes at the VMA's to their to tier Patreons yesterday. To bad Petunia was not allowed into the event on Tuesday. Was interesting watching the team watching from the hotel.
Pau is the greatest singing drummer ever. The scream of destruction has been compared to Ann Wilson scream 40 years ago which had been called the best ever.
dude! This is what I've been saying for the 5 years I've been in The Warning Army : They don't have to rely on skimpy out fits ( with strategic costume 'fails' ), annoying dancers, insibid lyrics, auto tune, canned music or lip syncing. Just pure honest ROCK AND ROLL! that they didn't buy from someone but wrote themselves...... but I'm preaching to the choir ain't I. MTV still sucks, but they had one shining moment.
Dany’s facial expressions are fucking next level. Ale is in mega rock star mode. Pau.. well Pau is on steroids. Congrats on 100. The star on Ale’s top was added on after Ale looked at that top and said “no, I’m not wearing that”.
I agree with what you said at 6:00. To watch the VMA's is disgusting. And then come these girls. Wow!! New, fresh, hard rocking, head banging music that the world needs! They're all naturally talented and have been performing since they were little and it shows! They are hot with their music, sound, looks, vibrance, ability to engage the crowd and the crowd in turn engages with them. It's really cool and I am addicted!! I haven't heard a song that I don't like and I've listened to almost all of them! When I watched them perform, I could not sit still. I didn't even realize that I was moving along with them until Pau started screaming and getting the crowd pumped....man, I was pumped!!!!!
AWESOME! Yeah this was one of the best performances I have seen them do, and rightfuly so. They are securing themselves in with the elite! Glad you enjoyed this, thanks so much. 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
Awesome reaction as always Dane. Thousands were put on notice to what real musicianship, talent and pure Rock & Roll ready for a second coming! Yeah you know you love it!
According to people who were there, The Warning did both songs in one take. The other two performers had some re-do's. Also, have you seen any clips from the show in Argentina? Holy crap. The crowd was insane.
Yeah I have heard and amazing, without having to lip sync also. Embarrassing for the other performers. I have not yet but will now, a couple people have commented on that.
This time last week I had no idea who "The Warning" was. I would see people reacting but never watched the vids. Ho lee crap. Literally since the first time I heard them that is all I am listening to! New album please ladies!!!
Really...Well..Welcome to The Warning. They have a dedicated following and community (inclusding myself) and there are plenty I have covered from them. Enjoy the journey and good luck trying to find a favorite. Every song it a single in my mind.
