Ok, moral of the story; Do NOT piss off a Villarreal sister! Dany, no longer just the Queen Of The Murder Scene, she’s also the Queen Of The Marriage Scene.
The card they show in the video are from a Mexican game called Loteria, where the cards are basically the Bingo. They were basically letting the audience is on their plan, since only the dealer used the card in a normal Loteria game. The cards are called out by a dealer and the player fill their card/board if they match a square. Here The Warning used the aesthetic of the card but change the character/item in the regular deck. There are 54 cards, and they normally have a character assigned to each number, "La Pau" replaced "the drum", "La Ale" replaced "the musician", La novia" (the bride) Replaced "the lady". Other have mentioned that it looked like DPA were playing CLUE... What is clue played before a murder... a plan, they were going over their plan.
That is awesome they tied that card game in plus some nuances from classic shows. I love learning so much about this. They continue to just blow us away and this is why this group is the best! Thanks so much for explaining all that, LOVE IT 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
QMQ is climbing faster than any other video to date. It's getting the support they deserve from Republic and Vevo, with some assist from MTV. Personally, I love that they are having fun during their non-stop hectic working environment. This over the top Novella style done on purpose, cracks me up, as it was meant to. Life is short, have fun with it, but leave a legacy your proud of. That is what they are doing, and as you say, "I'm here for it" ⚡
The godfather meets pulp fiction! The card game is a Mexican game called lotería which is much like bingo. Their Mexican merch store, Negro Pasión, has a The Warning Lotería set for sale.
Looking at the credits, you missed that Pau co-directed with Ivan. Pau wrote the screenplay. This video is Pau's brain-child. There are a lot of easter eggs in the video. The clock at the police station is at 6:28 which is the release date of Keep Me Fed. There are other easter eggs.
Here is my interpretation of the video. It is a parody of Spanish telenovellas(TV soap operas), which are melodramatic and where they tend to overact quite a bit. The Pepsi Black commercial is also something they often do in telenovellas, product placement during the actual show. When you give a rose, the color has a meaning, red for love, yellow for friendship, etc. The blue rose signifies mystery, which is why it is used here. The cards are similar to the ones in the card game Loteria, that is similar to Bingo, but instead of balls, they pick cards with images on them and you have a tabla, a board with a 4x4 grid with images on them also.
I had to go back and watch it again after reading everyones comments because there was so much to take in. I especially love all the nuances and tie ins from there culture and there story telling. Crazy how much fun and how great Pau did on this. I hope there is a sequel showing the content of the chest and the diamond mine! 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘 Thanks for the continued support.
Their music is so good that it doesn't even matter that the words are in a different language. This ladies just keep cranking out the hits! This was so much fun and Pau is so creative coming up with this scenario. ⚡⚡⚡
the clock on the wall next to the crime board reads 6:28 (release date for KMF) more easter eggs from KMF artwork in this video that i noticed. Pau swings the candle holder for the kill, Dany with the blue rose, there is cake. Oh, Rudy is the priest and Pau was the co-directer
It is pretty neat how the story comes together at the end. I have watched a bunch of different reactions. Some picked up on what was going on right away. Others were kind of, "What is going on here? But this is really cool!" But when the police come busting in and they see the guy with the blue rose, EVERYBODY comes together and goes, "Ohhhh, it was a setup!" Brilliant storytelling by Pau. 😎 💠
A lot of telenovela, a little godfather, and a dash of pulp fiction. Pau's "brain baby". Great song and awesome overacting by Dany. Someone else pointed out the blatant product placement is a staple of telenovelas (Mexican soap operas). Great reaction!
I was going to mention the product placement trend in telenovelas, but I see that you did, already. Regardless, there should be nothing negative in them giving a nod to a sponsor in a non-intrusive way. 😃
The Warning...Fantastic Band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another great reaction man, and thanks for pointing out the drumming on this track! I feel like it's one of the best and yet most overlooked aspects of the song. I suppose it's a testament to Pau's skills - doing some phenomenal drumming but giving the song exactly what it needs so perfectly you almost don't notice it. I actually didn't notice until my 3rd or 4th listen and then I was like "Whoa - she's killing this!" 🤘😎⚡⚡⚡
Yeah and I typically favor drummers so I am always listedining for it! That and being Pau had a big hand in directing this, I was all in!! Pau has become so good you almost do not notice it, but, to me, it makes the songs. Well, they all do really 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
I never enjoyed a video more without understanding a single word. Pau has unleashed another talent here with this humorous, energetic, dramatic video. They are so much more than great Rock Musicians. They are all confident pure entertainers. 💕🎶💕🎶💕🎶
A great takeoff on Mexican soap operas (telenovelas). The lyrics of the song don’t necessarily apply to the plot of the video. Lot of little Easter eggs in the video, like the clock next to the evidence board reads 6: 28, the release date of their next album. 😎👍
Dani as bait, Pau as the murderer, Ale as the 1 who drops the dime to frame Vito. That equals 3 sisters as the new boss of the spoils. It's a spoof of Mexican soap opera TV in which everything is over-acted, the cops are bungling fools, the bad guys can't be distinguished from the good, and extreme facial close ups are the norm to exaggerate expression. My fave is when Dani goes from sweet and loving to full on QOTMS, hair blowing in the wind! How I wish this song had an accurate Spanish to English full translation!
The cards are not actually from the game "Clue", these type of cards are from the Mexican "Bingo" called "LOTERÍA", in Mexico LOTERIA (Bingo) is not played with numbers but with images or characters, things, animals, etc.
from Blabbermouth, Pau says that *Qué Más Quieres* is “about taunting and manipulating. We were thinking of the TikTok phrase, ‘Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss’, and turned it into a song.” Dany goes on, “It means a lot to sing in our language and represent our country. Over the years, doors have finally opened for Mexican women in rock, and we’re actively participating in opening these doors where we can." when i first saw the video, my thoughts went to "a con game", "Black Widow sisters", and "crime mystery"... i've been watching "Leverage" and the "con game" part really stood out... of course there's the "mob" crime family aspect, as well... the sisters are con artists planning a heist and conning their way into the family to do it... they killed someone, don't know who, and framed the groom for doing it... not sure if the groom became the top dawg because of the murder but it is possible in this brief story line... the fun part is taking the original video into a video editor so you can stop and focus on the details of planning/breakdown of the crime... there's GPS coordinates, descriptions, lines of connection... the attention to detail is 🤯 🤯 🤯 to me, there's also a "Power of 3" thing that comes to mind... it takes all three to cast the powerful spells they do while each is also a top caster of spells in their own rights... just ask any TWA member 😜😹 overall, it was a fantastic video that takes me back to the original MTV days with all the cool story telling videos... i'm very glad that Pau took the bull by its horns and created her vision of this song... she has said that she creates a video in her mind for their songs as they develop... i can certainly see that 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Yo Waldo!! Yeah the Blabbernouth I read was not great but you got some great information here. I also had to go back through and re-watch because there were some fun nuances adn easter eggs to see. The Clock, Rudy, The map......all the things. I love this one more after learning all I did. The comments have been great. Some have criticizing me for missing, but as you said, there was a ton to take in so I just had fun with it! PAU crushed this. Thank so much commenting, love having you here! 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
I thought it was pretty convenient of Dany to be right there when they tackled ol' Vito to the floor, and her foot comes into the frame to step on the key around his neck!😂 Those crazy eyes at 4:55 would be enough to have me running the other way, instead of getting married!😱 Pure evil baby!!😈 According to the clues on the crime board, the key may very well be to a diamond mine, according to the coordinates. With the cliffhanger at the end, I'm thinking this will be continued in a future 'episode'. The references to the Mexican telenovelas is hilarious, with the overacting and built-in product placement, etc.🤣 Kudos to Pau for writing, directing, and co-producing this mini-masterpiece!😍👍👍👍
Yeah I think we have a seual coming for sure and I will patiently anticipate this release!! As we all will. I am hearing some wonderful stories and reveals about this song and this may now be my favorite video/story to date! 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
Think, The Godfather only with a little Queen of the Murder Scene thrown in...Vito the patsy for the crime. Pau is freaking brilliant...their acting was priceless...threw a little Pulp Fiction in at the end (Pau no doubt). This is so much fun and so well done.
Yeah all credit to Pau! I loved this and the more I hear about it and learn, the more I love it. I hope we see a sequel to the contents of the case and the rumored diamond mine. Yeah I have been hearing about this The Warning troll. You know what, let him hate. If he wants to live in that cave, so be it. We know what we see and what we see if the future and one of the best bands ever. Maybe he jealous. 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
Interesting comment that you think this is the last release before the album drops. That leaves almost 2 months. Wondering if they will fill that in with releasing more videos from their Pepsi Centre concert in December - similar to the live version of HYCAD. Fingers crossed! Everyone is waiting to see a professional version of Breathe, and Enter Sandman and Black Holes with the string ensemble!
Yeah I expect some professional live video, but they already released half the album, so maybe one more? I thought they would just keep some surprises for the actual drop. Who knows.
🤘🤘🤘 Hey hallo DaneBramage ROCKS, I ❤ your reaction, I wanna tell you something 🧐 THE WARNING ~ What more do you want, they literarlly left us an Easter Egg, the one at the very beginning, when you pause the video exactly at the 7th second, just look at the upper right corner of the screen, there is clock hanging at the wall, it marks 6;28, wich it stands for June the 28th, exactly the release date for the new upcoming album "Keep Me Fed", wow that's clever. 🤔 In México they are sponsored by PEPSI, plus the video is nod to Telenovela's dramas on Spanish speaking, channels and during a Telenovela there in México people used to have product placements throughout the program. Plus Also RUDI is the Priest in the wedding's reception.👍💜🤘💒
That is an amazing Easter Egg and very cleaver. Amazed people caught that and spread the information. I know they are sponsored by Pepsi, I mentioned that and love they did the cheezy ad placement as they would in Telenovela Drama!! It is AWESOME. I'm kicking myself for missing Rudy, I was just taking in all that was happening! Cheers. 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
You got the basics of the story-but watch it again… Dany has fur coats and diamonds but “what more do you want?”. She wants it all! They kill the don (Mafia Boss) -with a candlestick (as on the cover of the album). They leave clues (blue rose and the note), but ultimately Alé calls in the anonymous tip that the don’s son committed the murder. Dany marries the son and, in true mafia movie fashion ( like The Godfather and Good Fellas) she gives him the ‘kiss of death’ on the forehead as he is being set-up for the murder. He gets arrested and she gets the key! In an homage to ‘Pulp Fiction’ they open the case, but its contents aren’t revealed Some of TWA speculate that there are diamonds in the case because someone figured out that there are latitude/longitude coordinates to a Russian Diamond Mine on the Police Board!
Yeah since watching, I learned a ton and LOVE everythign about this. I am blown away by how much they put in, with the planning, the story telling, the nuances, the nods, and the easter eggs! Even Rudy as the priest, AWESOME. I hope there is a follow up video that reveals that theory, that would be amazing! 🤘⚡Keep on Rockin'⚡🤘
i´ve said it before: If You are watchin a The Warning Video, ALWAYS keep your Eyes on the screen or You will miss important details and won´t know what was all about. Our Girls worked really hard to make these entertaining videos with great stories and different clues, and it´s a shame when people or in this case, Reactors, don´t get it at all. At the end, some reactors are Smarter than others.
@@steve318k It's also a cultural thing. The Mexican telenovelas (soap operas) often contain product plugs and are known for the "overacting" as well. Since Pau is into finance I wonder if there is a tax deduction for murder mysteries as a business expense...LOL Not being Mexican I have no idea what their tax codes are anyway...
