The Warriors MUST Fix This... 

Everyone ignores how bad Klay played offensively in the 2022 Finals because it was a great comeback story, but it was bad, and it bled into the 2023 playoffs. You guys just have to admit he's not the same player he used to be.

I think the reason for bad shooting is because GS are continuously playing catch up and players like wiggs and klay are completely messing up any momentum this team gets. The two starters are literally destroying the rhythm of this team on a regular basis yet Steve Kerr isn’t willing to play guys who are more ready. I haven’t really seen any egregious mistakes from moody,jk, tjd and podz where you could say wiggs or klay would have played better than them. Those two are playing really terribly at the moment way below starter level. Forcing them to play through this is only hurting the team. They should be given time and LESS responsibilities but Kerr is not willing to do that and is completely hurting the team.

Steve Kerr's mindset has always been to bench the guys who are having a great game and kill the momentum by putting in guys who are having bad shooting games.

Fax, Corey Joseph should NOT be getting ANY minutes AT ALL!!!!!!! Kerr shoukd be playing TJD and Gui over him, they have length, height, athleticism and strength over Corey Joseph but Kerr always wants the offensive players well it doesn’t help when Corey Joseph isn’t gonna be hitting shots so he’s useless!!!!!!! Great video. The Kerr rotation comment is spot on. During the last game against OKC, Klay gets and hits an open look in the first quarter and Kerr subbed him. Why? You want him to get going. Since last year, the second quarter rotation has been really off. Bringing in TJD in 2nd quarter makes a lot of sense at this point, especially against bigs.The CP3 pick and pop with Saric is very one dimensional. Lastly, when Draymond is not facilitating, it feels like the dubs run less plays and more iso ball.

I think WIGGINS is still shaken up from the POOLE trade. They were buddies and watching his best friend get punched and then traded like a bag of chips probably messed up Wiggin’s motivation

Im a lot more worried about klay thompson more than wiggins cuz wiggins has been bad on defense and offence but when you play defense as good as wiggins did in the 2022 finals you dont just forget that. Klay is bad on defense on the other hand cuz loss of lateral movement and being older and just having worse hands and whatnot. Also, wiggins clearly just has a flat shot I think his offense can get better and his defence can get better but klay definitely is a big worry cuz in the playoffs last year he was outplayed by wiggins who was on a like4 month layoff from family issues and klay cant create his own shot and he loses us games from just chucking so klay definitely needs to go.

Klay issues 1. He overdribbling 2. He fading way to much, especially left to right. 3. He needs to stop sitting and get in motion off screens. 4. His feet arent square. To get him out of rut, I would pair him with Curry/Dray mins, and not try to make him the primary option of the 2nd unit. I would make Wiggs the primary option for the 2nd unit. Have kuminga come in for Wigs early, so he can lead 2nd unit.

Curry has always covered up any weakness Kay had but now that he older and the system has changed klay flaws are showing more the injuries have destroyed him and it sucks to say that but it’s just true he’s a great shooter but they need more than that out of him

You can loose hope on Klay that fast. His passing has always been suspect, his dribbling skills are average at best, his decision making isn't good if he has the ball in has hands longer than 4-5 seconds and this has been true even before his injuries. Pre injuries he had spectacular lateral movement and stamina that rivaled Curry's. But that lateral movement is gone and with it his ability to be a top notch defender. His stamina isn't what it once was either. Complicating the issue is his jump shot isn't much of a jump shot anymore, if you remember the height he used to get on his jumper before injuries it was impressive. Now his jumper at times likes like a semi set shot. It's not far fetched for him to think about retiring but he still believes he's a max contract player. There's a major disconnect. That's just the brutal reality of it and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching Klay play his entire career. Danny Green basically robbed Klay of his remaining hall of fame productivity.

I have no idea why Kerr keeps blackballing the young guys. Last year it was garbage 2way players. This year he has even more young talent, and he's playing Cory Joseph??? Challenges are (1) most of league better at guarding the warriors kind of actions because so many teams run them now so all defenses valuing that extra length and switchable defenders: schemes, personnel and experience all making it harder for warriors to dominate with their inside out jump shooting. 1 rim protector, multiple switchable perimeter guys, live and die 100% IGNORING the non-shooters (2) Warriors can only beat that if they have at least 3 good shooters on the floor and better if 4. And so When Wiggins can’t shoot, it cascades to more attention on Klay, etc. I think Wiggs is the biggest bet because there is no physical reason he can’t be back to high form. Bench is playing great so Wiggs needs to be the man. Mentally he doesn’t seem to be there. Is it some kind of subconscious loss of respect for Dray? Or just lost his hunger after the chip? So hard to know, but Wiggs seems to be a very sensitive person who doesn’t see basketball as his identity.

The biggest problem that GSW is having right now is the same problem that team USA had in the World Cup: STEVE KERR. The same man responsible for team USA early exit. His playbook is obsolete, and his small lineup ain't doing shit. The NBA has changed immensely in the last two years and nobody got the balls to tell him that. Most of the teams got 6'8+ players that move like point guards, shoot 40+ percent from downtown and can defend almost like GP2. He can't rely on his vets except for Curry. He must start working with the young bloods and use the vets to teach them their respective roles to assist Curry.

wiggs is bad because he suffered an injury so could not get enough practise to warm up his defense and rebouding has been getting better so he will probably improve. Klay has always been a slow starter problem is the only thing that klay can do well is shoot but his shot is not falling leading to the big problem

Look, what the warriors need is a big man, a star big man that is young and I have been thinking about it but the warriors could trade Wiggins / Klay and Lamb/other bench player for lauri Markkannen. A 7 foot pf that averages 23 points a game 9 Boards and is 48% in FG. Comeone now, this would be an amazing trade that the warriors could make. I am not an expert so I don't know what else would be in the trade package for this trade but this is a fans prespective.

I'm still holding out hope for Klay and Wiggins. They're both good players. Draymond is the one who needs to get the boot. He's a little bit useful only when he's playing with two or three superstars. I don't really care about his recent improvement on wide-open three-pointers. I wouldn't be surprised if he made zero 3s the next couple of games. He can grab 10 defensive rebounds one lucky night, and then he only gets 3 the next night. He doesn't have any solid skills. Especially his shooting skills are never reliable.

the Warriors problem is not Klay, Dray, CP3 or even Wiggs. They are all past their primes and cant compete at an elite level anymore. The Warriors problem is Kuminga not reaching his potential & the useless player James Wiseman turned out to be. Also having to give up on Poole bc of his disastrous mental approach to the game. imo Kuminga should be the 2nd best player on the team by now, but apparently doesn't have what it takes to get there. He really should be at an all star level in yr 3. if you miss on high lottery picks you are going to decline. if you hit on them you stay good or get better. This is why its really, really difficult to stay at the top in the NBA. Your key players eventually lose athleticism and can't impact the game consistently in their favor.

It’s Gobert nobody cares

They previously faced easier teams often missing key players. More recently they have been facing much better teams with pretty much their entire team available. That is part of it. Obviously Steph being out doesn't help and is exposing the lack of shot creation on the team right now. CP being more aggressive in looking for his own shot can help a little getting Podz more minutes can also help but none of that fixes the fundamental problems with team. Too small, too old and too slow across the board. Klay is washed as washed can be. He is being exposed for the low IQ selfish player he has always been it's just now he doesn't have the same playmakers and team defenders around him and his own athleticism to mask his flaws. He never adjusted his game post injuries and his contract is an albatross on the team. If Klay were willing to move to the bench as a spot up shooter playing 15 or less a night things might be salvageable but his ego is too big for that. He's going to go out like Melo, Westbrook etc a sad shell of a once elite player who just could adjust their game enough when they needed to. Wiggins is not only mentally checked out I think he is also dealing with some sort of physical problem, there were some back concerns listed on the injury report so perhaps that is also more serious than they are letting on. Also he's just a low motor sort of player and has never had the aggression and drive that you would hope for consistently. JK has improved but is still too often finding himself out of position on both ends of the floor and now that teams are contesting his jumpers they aren't falling ass efficiently as they were. his handle is still suspect so his value offensively is limited still to cutting and slashing. He should mainly focus on the driving and getting the line which he's elite at. Dray is a clown I'm completely done with him. He is no longer the same player he was physically and his impact on winning has diminished significantly. His skill set is no longer as unique as it used to be and his offensive liabilities require the entire team and rotations being built around him. Gobert was not wrong he loves to get himself thrown out of games when Steph is sitting. Kerr is getting in his own way at this point. It's hilarious how much he is doubling down on midget ball. They drafted TJD to be an option right now but still Kerr refuses to play him in games where his size and athleticism would be a clear asset to the team. And what they are doing to Moody is criminal. He's done everything they asked, improved every year, maintained a professional attitude the entire time and he is rewarded with barely any playing time. At this point this team needs to rebuild completely. Steph may still be amazing but he is clearly incapable of being cutthroat enough with those around him. None of the core or the FO seem to be able to be objective about the team or themselves at this point. Send Steph home to Charlotte, trade most everyone except some of the youth and stock draft assets, get rid of Kerr and bring in a new voice.

I don't know how is he now physically after those 2 major injuries but we have lots of players who suffered major injuries like his but were able to retern to their levels pre-injuries-Kobe Bryant, KD, even SC30 with his ankle injuries when he was starting his career.
