The fact that curry said "you don't want to see us next year" is badass lmao. Especially off of one horrible season and a not so good season, in their standards at least.

As a Celtics fan I absolutely hated watching Curry slice up my team on the biggest stage, however the pure awe that filled me watching him make the most incredible and smooth plays against a defense that was completely designed around stopping him was miraculous. Even calling it that is an understatement. He IS the Warriors and you cannot have a top 10 all-time list without him.

I’m not a warriors fan by any stretch, but this years warriors team had to be one of my favorite teams of the last decade. It was a near perfect mix of great young talent and stellar veteran players.

I have been a Warriors fan for over 25 years now. Steph Curry is and will always be my favorite player of all time. We are so grateful to see this level of talent in any sport.

People seem to have a hard time wrapping their heads around the idea of teamwork beating superstardom. This playoffs exemplified that! The Celtics teamwork got them past so many superstars and to the finals. The Warriors did the same and won. Home grown talent and team cohesion is powerful. When everyone feels like they are a part of it and are valued, they work together better and win more.

The Warriors quite literally went to Hell and back. So happy for them. Also seeing Steph that emotional has to break the hardest man ever.

He'll always be the goat for me. I remember watching my Warriors with Baron Davis Jason Richardson and Monte Ellis, losing game after game. When we talked about basketball nobody ever talked about the Warriors. Even people living here in the Bay Area would rather talk about the Lakers. This young fella comes in with nobody to help him. Builds a team from the ground up and changes the game of basketball as we know it. You see 30 on everybody's backs around here now and instead of everyone completely ignoring us we have haters all around the country. 😎

The Warriors also went from the beloved up and comer in 2015 to underachieving super team villain post 2016 and turned into a redemption story after sucking for a couple years. It’s as storybook as a TV series.

Klay really inspired me a lot this year. He came off two season ending injuries and his first year back he's a champion. Wiggins has an incredible story as well. He finally found his place to shine.

We can all agree that it was amazing to see Klay win a chip in his first season back and Curry getting his first FMVP

I think Steve Kerr deserves a ton of credit as well. Guys just a winner it's crazy everywhere he goes he just wins. And I think the reason curry developed into the player he is today is because of Kerr he was a great 3pt. Shooter as well and I think that helped alot. Warriors is like our modern version of the Spurs. Good coach, great system, and an efficient set of homegrown core players that plays like a team and not just a one-man band.

The Warriors lived long enough to become the villain and they knew it. So they died off, rose from the ashes quicker than Phoenix chokes the playoffs, and are now champs again. I love it

I started watching BB again as the lockdowns started. The Dubs were broken and somehow the team I picked to follow. I'd missed the golden years. But broken or not this was the team for me. The next two years, set backs and all, just made me want to see them win again. Watching them get back up from being rock bottom was a privilege to watch

More than anything, I’m so happy for Wiggins. He was being seen as a “has been that never could” he found his place and finally a ring that he contributed to.

To add to what you mentioned, steph was an injury prone guard who was almost traded to the wolves but nobody wanted him. Wasn't great off the bat like lebron and clawed his way up to what he is now. Stephen curry, so inspirational.

Look at his eyes, look how calm he is. He's a stonecold killer on the court. Kobe and Curry are my favorite players ever. Maybe Jordan was more skilled, Shaq and Wilt were gifted physically. watching this year playoffs Golden State reminded me of Chicago Bulls from 98 and how fun watching a game can be

Steph Curry is one of the most underrated players of all time. When there are people who actually take themselves seriously and do not place him in the top 5 of best players ever, then he's underrated. He completely changed the game of basketball.... so much, that in 2024 literally ALL 30 teams in the league play the style of basketball that the Warriors played 10 years ago, less or more. It would not have been possible for KD to shine in 2017 and 2018 if Steph wasn't double manned in every game for most of it. He almost single handedly destroyed the Celtics in 2022, one of the best teams of the last 10 years. He made the Warriors a contender back in 2014 after they were a perennial third tier team. And he has broken all these records. Regardless of what other narratives people try to push, we are living in the Steph Curry era since 2014.

These finals were really good this year, actually had me tuned in

Only players to have 31 6 5 in the finals since the beginning of the 3 point era (1977) against teams that hold them 102 points or lower, are lebron, Kobe, hakkem, shaq and MJ. And Curry was the most efficient

Just look at the graph of attempted threes per game and you'll get chills: ALL teams are shooting more threes after Curry's rise to prominence. Steph has literally changed the game! He deserves to be on the top 10 list, not just because of his impact on the Warriors but also the NBA as whole

being from the bay and a warriors fan, that last part of the video perfectly encapsulates why this years title means so much. even with so much success, there were so many ways to disregard their accomplishment. this year there's none of that, purely showed everyone their greatness.
