I got the chance to talk personally with Stuart las month. He's a really funny and humble guy . After his masterclass he asked to the crowd "Who is the number one Jamiroquai fan here?" A girl jumped up from her chair and asked "Me!!" and Stuart gave her his bass. He spent about one hour hanging around the hall , talking with the people as if he was one more of us. When I was talking woth Jonas Hellborg Stuart asked me if I had a good time that day. Very humble, very smart, very funny. Cool guy
He doesn’t really do much of that on here ( or RU-vid ) some people just aren’t jammers or noodle I’m one of them But in a band setting they shine and create
Oh man the things id do for this bass. This instrument speaks to me. I grew up listening to jamiroquai, and stuart is a big motivation to me as a bass player. I picked up bass november of 2017, and am incredibly proud of my accomplishments and progress as a musician. This instrument is gorgeous, and to be honest is one of 2 warwick designs i actually find appealing (The other being infinity nt). This bass, in its red/orange multichrome finish and white pickup covers truly is jaw dropping to me. Ever since i saw a picture of it on instagram ive been hooked on it. I cant justify the 7.5k dollars to buy one, but i know where my lottery money is going if i ever do win in the future. I currently play an ibanez tmb 310, and while its a wonderful bass at its price point, it couldn't compare to a bass of this caliber. This bass infuriates me and makes me long for it at the same time. Ive never had a bass speak to me so strongly.
Dear Warwick, please give your reviewers some freedom to express themselfs. I watched a truckload of reviews for various models and Andy here (and the other german guy) soud like robots. Musicians love to express what they feel, and reading same text but with different model names and woods is really boring. Not to mention a fake smile...
well, you can't say these guys aren't pros. they're good at informing the audiance with the neccesary attributes of the products; though, all in all, I agree with you. the contrast between Zender's flamboyant personality and Andy's robot like informative presentation is ultra felt.
Daum - yeah, I won't defend anything. Well, the bass is cool, that's for sure. I kinda always hated doing these videos, because they had to be scripted out and I had two pages of specs needing to be read off, I assure you it sucked. Hence after never ever feeling like I did well, I left this job. You are welcome to take my place if you think you can do it better, have fun! peace!!
Don't get me wrong! You did an awesome job especially when you say that you kinda hated doing this videos. Your playing is spot on (awesome to be exact I learned a lot from you and still am learning over on TrueFire channel and your channel) and presentation is great but after watching a lot of vids it gets clear that you are not feeling it because of the script. I mean I get it, it is a job like any other, but they should have given you a bit more freedom because you are a great presenter, great teacher and "feeling it" is a big part of being a musician. Trust me I can not do a better job than you because ...well...first I'm Croatian so you can imagine the level of accent, two I am not as good of a bass player as you are and three when I see the camera it is like having a gun pointed at me! XD Cheers mate!
Its what you get when you want a "signature" series bass... pay extra bucks for some big guy endorsing the model, and if lucky one or two minor modifications to prior models.
This design is completely unique because Stuart is off the beaten path, this build cost so much to set up for, theirs not just a jig they can use to get it all carved out, like fender whose signature models are just fancy guys name on headstock new paint job and brand name hardware
+waffle Stuart always slid up like that in the Jamiroquai albums and playing live. I suggest looking up the video Jamiroquai Scam Tokyo Japan live. He does it quite a bit in the intro of that live track. :)
I know eh? Like, he was there, in the video and studio, why go to Andy? But that bridge and nut combo... makes it so anybody from a baby to The hulk could play it!
Maybe you're saying that Warwick basses sound terrible? BECAUSE their amps are very much the sound of their bass's tone without a lot of coloring. Maybe you should reword your statement PROPERLY?
What's with the nervous laughter and presupposition that I was attempting a personal attack against you? I was just declaring that I should know better than to argue with a person that has that kind of music taste, because I know from personal experience how stubborn they are.
than shut up and leave it alone! there are mcmillions of bass players who cannot stand or tolerate slap because thats all people do! if you dont like people pointing it out, dont read!!!
jay wells it's not all that people do you're just very closed minded and you clearly don't see my point, so I'm going to leave this argument. I'll just leave you to your old man slap hating.
