Imagine if you were Bobby Boucher being picked on by a bunch of bullies and the abuse stays in your mind for years and years. Then suddenly, you get "mad as hell and not about to take it anymore". Wouldn't you unleash that rage and attack on your tormentors? I know I would.
@@tyrese3745 That happened a lot to other people in real life. The memories of insults that haunted your mind for years make you fueled the anger and start attacking whether verbal or physical. I don't know what the name of the trope.
0:31 EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Wow-ha-oow! DAMN! DIS-QUE-YO-DOE!!! 😂 I… I’m sorry. UGGGGGGGGH… WHO DAT?! WHO DERE?!! 😂😂😂 This is arguably the best 16 seconds of dialogue ever written in a movie!
I'm with you there. In my elementary and middle and high school years, I wanted to hurt those that bullied me as well. It wasn't worth getting suspended from school for retaliation.
I was wondering if i was the only one who could empathize with Bobby. We were either too scared to fight back, or felt it wasnt worth it, but it still hurt
This scene is f**king hilarious! Whoever hasn't watched the full film I would definitely recommend it. But something that I overlooked before is that I didn't understand how much Bobby needed this until now: He's been bullied by his peers all his life, his mother _no offense to her because she is one of my favorite characters_ is a control freak; not letting him have any friends or even go to school, he was fired by his boss, and even his childhood wrestling hero mocked him. Now that I watch this scene and each one after involving his tackles, I'm glad that he at least got a little overdue justice in his life
20 years later, this movie has aged tremendously well. The protagonist is the ultimate underdog. The antagonists are all figures of abusive authority that the viewer can relate to, like teachers, coaches, parents, etc. The story sticks to the basics and uses the fundamentals so well that it's actually a great example of the Hero's Journey.
So let me get this straight....these hillbillies play for some po-dunk small College team that usually goes 2-12 each season and they feel themselves so much to bully this waterboy who is just minding his own business. Gotta love people like that
Your still right on with that connection! The movie is in new Orleans and that's why they added that awesome 😎 line 😂 which we all love ❤️ who dat who der'
Lol omg fuckin funny and love it when hes like "whhoo dat?, whhoo dere?" And everyone looks surprised and looks at Bobby like daaaaaam the fuck you do to him lol hahahahaha
This film The Waterboy is definitely a top tier Adam Sandler movie. Bobby Boucher is my favorite character, and I can relate to him alot because I've been bullied by others in the past, especially in Elementary School as well as in Middle School, which was even worse. Only if I stood up to my bullies in Middle School like when Bobby Boucher tackled the quarterback in this scene. He's not retarted at all, and is amazing in both book, and street smart.💁🏻🏈
