@Chad Hoskins - they were superb! Tight, super-professional and what amazed me more than anything was how they really seemed to enjoy themselves - a real party. No horns I'm afraid, but 2 female backing singers that made all the difference. A truly great gig! R

@@vrossi2596 Sadly, too many makey-up bands flooding the market. Pity really. I'm heading to the Púca festival in Meath, Ireland, in October (Home of Halloween), to see them for the umpteen time. Can't wait.

@@vrossi2596 100% agree. I remember Mike being asked one time in an interview (after the Fishermans Blues album), "So where are The Waterboys now". Mike instantly replied, " You're talking to them". Search for The Waterboys 'The Pan Within' 2012 reunion at Spiddal. I was sitting next to the guy that video'd it. It was a small 200 capacity gig for funding a local Lifeboat. The guy who got me in there, was a fella who I had been working with for years. A very unassuming and quiet guy. Lovely lad. I never made the connection until he told me one weekend that he was going to see his brother playing at a gig. "Oh! Your brother's in a band? What are they called?", said I. "The Waterboys", came the reply, " Do you know them?". "Do I fucking what" says I, I've been following them for eons, since Pagan Place, I even met my wife during the This is the Sea release". Turns out he was Steve Wickhams younger brother. I was gobsmacked. The following week, he covertly secured tickets for this gig. Look, needless to say, he organised for me and 3 mates to attend, VIP Treatment, met all the guys while drinking the night away. Steve Wickham especially, is a true gent. What a gig! Serious stuff. I'm going to this Púca gig dressed as a goat in honour of them. Paddy Wickham, if you're reading this, and I know I said it before a hundred times, fair fucking play to ya! Enjoy Guilford vrossi.
