I was there yesterday its rather crap £2 to get in plus £50 a session for 2 waves lol plus WSL has gone crap the passion of surfing is being killed off by corprate companys its shameful
I'm not sure what their plans are in that respect. I think a lot of the time the issue is the size of the site and power. Most of the wave pools I've seen don't deliver waves much over head high and I haven't seen any footage of places that offer 10 ft stand up barrel style waves...Surf Lakes in Australia looks good but I don't think wave pools get that big just yet.
@@offshoresphoto thanks for the reply - I am moving to Cardiff and hoping to use the pool to train (ATM I am probably only Waikiki/intermediate level). Then when we get good waves in porthcawl/Gower - hopefully I'll be ready :)
@@offshoresphoto hopefully! My biggest issues are the takeoff + fixing my line. It will definitely help with the latter, just wondering whether it feels enough like an ocean wave to help with the takeoff!
@@emrebennett7572 I personally find the take off harder at the Wave pool than in the ocean... But I surf mostly longboard breaks... The wave pool is also less forgiving than ocean waves I find... On the advanced/expert setting if you get caught behind a foam section your done... In the ocean you can get round sections easier sometimes... I'm sure it'll be helpful
