The problems start when we value what others think about us more than what we think about ourselves. We ultimately have to live with our decisions. If we try to get those who pressured us into a decision to help with the consequences, they will not feel responsible in any way. "It's your life, you made your choices." It is the same reason we need to be careful about who we sign a lease or financial agreement with. Do not allow the perception of others to cause you to betray yourself. No one else can ensure we are honoring our higher self, no one else has our perception of our lived experience. Our story is our own, even if someone else tries to convince us otherwise.❤

Yes me too, i've read a lot of article about just not care what other people think and i just could not do that too. I'm too perceptive of how their body language and voice tone changes to know whether they're comfortable with me or not. I'm at a point where i can block out people that are negative/toxic to me but i can never truly in a sense not have a care in the world and when i see some people that can do that and i'm kinda jealous of them 😂

My take is that it's not as black and white as you should or shouldn't care what others think, but it's really all about understanding what is in your controll and what is out of your controll. It's important to present yourself in the best way possible, but in the end you can't controll other's thoughts, so you shouldn't drive yourself too crazy trying to do so. You should make sure you're putting the best version of yourself out there for others to see, but you shouldn't try to present yourself as somebody that you're not just because you think others will like that person more.

Just as you adapted to the environment during your walk in the forest (comfortable clothing, no suit, but also calm and careful behavior and not walking around screaming loudly), you should also adapt to the environment in which you are walking in life. I think that also applies to the areas of religion and culture. One should see where one is and adjust accordingly without breaking oneself down. If you don't succeed then you are in the wrong place.
