I love how Nikol inherited his father’s interest in machines, but also his mother’s kindness. Think about how Fiora sacrificed herself for Colony 9 and her desire to help Meyneth without really knowing her and then compare it to Nikol going in to save Glimmer without a second thought, despite fighting to the death earlier, before Rex coming in. Shulk (XB1) wouldn’t save someone he fought against previously - not without a second thought. That was all Fiora. ❤️ Also, I need to see the two of them geek out over weapons and machines more. They’re just too precious together. ❤❤❤
Man… to see it all come full circle. Monolith soft really outdid themselves. I’m an avid rpg player and enthusiast and can only think of a handful that truly touched my heart. This game is one of them
@@natsuvegavods One of the FR sidequests gives us all the information we're likely to ever get. Spoilers: Riku's masterpon (who created Lucky Seven) was Melia and his father was one of her travelling companions. Some people have taken this to mean Kino, but I don't think the time scale works out for that (Riki was 40 in 1 and most of his kids were still pretty young, then a year later Kino was still roughly adolescent, so I don't think he could have grown up enough to have a kid of his own and then also have that kid grow to adulthood), so my interpretation is that Riku is the son of the legendary heropon himself. Presumably, that means he wasn't among those that were assimilated by Origin when it activated, meaning he just persists as he was at the time of activation. That doesn't explain why he was so surprised by the baby in that one chapter 5 scene, since in theory he should have already known about human reproduction from before Origin and his time with the Liberators, but it may have been the first one he'd seen in several hundred years, so I can accept that he'd just forgotten how exciting it was.
@@dudeguy2330 oh yeah, the baby is the biggest incongruency with base game riku, surely that's the thing to get hooked on. it's not like the dude straight up knew who N was the whole time, didn't tell anyone, and then pretended to be shocked in chapter 5 or anything
I like the idea that RIku and Shulk removed that part just to see if Nikol would figure it out. I don't know if its true, but thats the idea I got when Shulk and Riku looked at each other.
There is a heart to heart in the original xenoblade where Riki adopts Shulk and into his family. His if Riku really is Riki’s son as implied, this is a father and uncle watching their son and nephew.
such an amazing dlc. Im glad i decided to wait to play the main game because i played them right before the dlc came out. I also got the chance to replace xenoblade 1 and 2 last year and let appreciate more of the moments in the dlc.
Because they wouldn’t have understood what they were talking about. For example, in the main game Noah and the rest of Ouroboros were fascinated by babies and the concept of parenthood because they had never seen or heard of it before. Kevesi and Agnian soldiers are bred for war, and live for ten years (if they’re lucky). They don’t even understand the concept of farming, let alone parenthood and how babies are made. They wouldn’t have understood the phrase “I’m your father”.
right i think the same, plus didnt think itd be right since they are stuck in the endless now and it would just be forgotten. and seeing how later they said they didnt know they would feel so proud seeing them grow up AGAIN, must mean that there real bodies are somewhere not that any of that much matters since what happens at the end of the game hahahahaha. cant wait for the next game!
To add on, Z is brown nosing everything right now. Wouldn't do good to talk secrets when Z is literally breathing down everyone's neck, which is also why we couldn't see Nia in this.
This dlc really close everything nicely. It'll be sad knowing that their story is probably over but cant wait for the future of this series. Hope to one day come back to playing the first 3!
@@natsuvegavods Oh yeah, i just finished my playthrough for Xenoblade one, now the dlc future connected, after that ill start with torna for the third time :D but damn the scene of Rex's entrance was so Epic in XC3|FR, just the same pose as Rex got Pneuma in XC2 i was like "NOOOOOOOOO WAY"
