Finally a video showcasing the main aspect of the NAS, its GUI, instead of spending 8mins talking about the info which you can find from the official PDF. Thanks.
I've had my PR4100 for about a week now and even though I like it very much as a Plex server I almost returned it because I couldn't perform the task I wanted until I viewed this video. Thank you so much for your help. You've just gained another subscriber. I appreciate you.
If you want quality, security and utility go for TrueNAS, I would definitely choose it for business. If you want good setup for home, go for WD NAS, it's cheap and does pretty much all the things normal user would want. Overall, I would skip QNAP and Synology all together. And prebuilt systems from TrueNAS are pretty easy to set up.
Find it intresting that the pr and ex have redundant psu support, wasn't noted in this video, unless you had an unboxing video before (only comes with one in the box but any standard 19v 4.5A psu will do)
Odd. Are you on the latest firmware and have you tried logging in with another browser? Sometimes a browser change can make the options/pop ups appear.
Hi I have just purchased a wd cloud ex2 ultra brand new, plugged it in and set it up via the setup software, entered the dashboard for the first time and was told a new firmware update was available so installed it and then wanted to install the squeezecenter/logitech media server app (which was one of the main reasons I bought it). When I go to the apps tab and click to install a new app I get the message “No available Apps”.???????
Let say you have 4 x 2TB drives in a RAID, then you decided to pull one of the 2TB and put a 4TB, will it add the extra space without destroying the RAID and DATA. Like a drobo
Rays RCs I think it depends on the raid. Like it’s raid zero, I believe, so a mirror scheme. So if you put a 4tb In with a 2tb it would be 2 tb mirrored. If you had that 4tb for a while and added a 6tb where the 2tb was it then would become a 4tb raid🤓
