It would be so depressing if the Twins' upcoming rework somehow made them even worse. It was announced alongside Ghostface and Legions' reworks but that was close to a year ago, and then BHVR revealed in the June AMA that's it's not happening until early 2024. They really can't catch a break, can they?

You should do a "tier-list" of every killer/survivor based on how lore accurate their teachable perks are. F.e. Dwight would be on top tier bc his lore portrays him as the unexpected leader, but Jonah would he lower bc there's no lore reason why he has the ability to use magic with Exponential.

Don't forget that Trapper used to have a random set amount of 4-6 traps per match. Someone at BHVR thought this was a good idea and was in the game for many years.

I remember when Ghostface came out and I was maining him I would get spotted and revealed from almost across the map when id barely be around the corner. And the leaning mechanic was clunky here and there that you had to deal with too.

I think Dredge was a lot slower during his PTB even in nightfall when teleporting

I really wish they would buff Pig back to the Survivor being unable to escape with a Reverse Bear Trap on. It would make End Game Collapse against her so much more interesting.

I just wanna say that it is always fascinating to see which Killers are more affected by universal game changes. Essentially how they get indirectly buffed or nerfed. For example. I think Pinhead gets hit harder than Wesker for the "Now that there is a Killer's Items category, Franklin's no longer affects them." Meanwhile on the oppposite side. I think Artist for example benefits way more from "Flashlights no longer interact with Killer Powers (Just ignore Nemi zombies)" than Nurse. Who hardly ever got lightburned to begin with but man. People were LINEBACKING with Flashlights for whoever the Artist was chasing before.

There was a very brief point waaaay back in 2016 where Trapper was bugged and literally could not trap windows. Back when there was no entity blocker or medium vaults.

It wasn't the PTB state of Wesker but the LIVE servers. PTB Wesker would hit collect Survivors, regardless of how far he was from them and people complained about this. His and the environmental hitboxes were then changed after the PTB for LIVE servers in which Wesker was at his weakest, not colliding with anything

Billy's weakest state was on release, before he became the monster he was until the 2020 nerfs he actually was even weaker than post nerf. His turn rate was about 50% of what it currently is, he couldnt curve and didnt have any of his best addons like carburettor tuning guide or either engravings. Even basekit billy now would be better than original billy cus curving is essential.

Wouldn't having Pig's traps activate after a generator being finished instead of at the start of endgame collapse be better for the killer?

Wait correct me If I'm wrong but Freddy original power also make survivor repair gen and heal extremely slowly in dream world in addition to him pulling survivors into dream world right? Because when anyone bring up old Freddy, they always said "his power is to allow him to hit you" and not the slowdown to repair and heal speed. It get to the point where I'm not sure if I'm remember it correctly.

As a freddy main, I still strongly say that old freddy was stronger then current freddy. Current freddy has a teleport and a slow in chase and thats it, old freddy had stealth, passive gen slowdown, and able to constantly keep survivors guessing as to where he was cuz of how his lullaby and his sleep worked back then. There was also the very brief window when old Furtive Chase made him super strong cuz you always had infinite aura reading in chase. If he had just gotten proper buffs he would be a fine killer nowadays, but the devs just do nothing but nerf him until hes bad. Hell he's so bad atm hes getting another rework.

If anything this really shows how much better BHVR's balancing has gotten over the years. I remember just a few years ago when we had virtually 0 faith in the devs and Almo (lead balance dev at the time, idk about now) streaming himself on killer running NOED and everyone losing it. Thank god we've got devs who listen to feedback now.

2:10 On the bright side: Hag did have a major plus on her release! She was bugged and suffered no stun whatsoever when survivors wiggled off your shoulder. Could basement you from anywhere on the map in a meta where that mattered between sabo and DS being is the most broken state it was ever in. Problem is she had to down people first.

Freddy is the perfect example how ruining a unique killer to a generic boring killer. The old Power needed only really good tweaks. And the nerfs in the new power was undeserved for him. swing chain and rope was only good because it has a stackable effect with thanaphobia. Fun Fact : He was only strong because of the Healing/Gen Penalty but in general he is weak overall. BHVR had only removing the gen or heal penalty but no they gutted him to hell. And now he is really rare. And many Killer are only weak because the community want it. Some Killers like Deathslinger was never op. The old Rule from BHVR was every ranged Killer getting 110% and 24m tr. Deathslinger need a small TR to catch up because he is already slow and get hard punished for every missed shot.

You forgot to mention PTB pyramid head could insta down, although it was a bug. I kind of missed that, but he certainly doesn't need it

I'd put an asterisk on Legion as a Legion main. Legion currently is either a pub stomper, but against a coordinated SWF, they're one of the weakest killers since their power doesn't help them down. Being reduced to a M1 killer if survivors just don't heal unless someone goes for hook sucks for legion. While you can make survivors mend, the amount of time another can put into a gen vs the time you are wasting mending doesn't add up well. I kinda hope legion gets a rework, since release and current version are fun to play because of the speed, but past that they only work well against 4 solo players that heal against legion.

Personally i find old freddy in some situations stronger than his rework. I LOVED playing him and got him P3 long before he was reworked, and back then he felt so much more unique. I didn't use the slowdown builds since they were boring compared to other builds, but his base kit power also revealed the aura of ANY survivors in the dream realm if they were too far away. Survivors literally had NO chance of hiding from you and if they weren't in the dream realm his power would auto lock on survivors meaning you could just spam hold it in all directions to pull people in when they were trying to hide and blend in.

Can you look at the best maps and realms for each killer

I'd say with MFT still not being nerfed, trickster's weakest phase is now. Point of his power was that you could slowly build it up even when looping around, 1 knife at a time on corners and such, making it stronger than hatchet in that regard, but now survivors can just completetly ignore that part and cut corners much sooner resulting in you never catching up and never even having a chance to shoot that 1-2 knifes per corner, Erie is the worst offender with MFT for him, because they can loop you around the tree in main building and, they'd cut corners so mathematically close that you'd drop a chase mid looping every now and then, never resulting in you having bloodlust and therefore never catchign up, as well as never beeing in enough sight to throw a knife or two. I'd recommend to stay away from playing him untill it is nerfed/reworked, because this is beyond missarable, it's like playing old freddie but needing to hit 6 cross-map lobe hatchets before you can at least attempt at downing a survivor - nobody said thoes 3 other teammates wouldn't be there for a save. That's where devs should reconsider their balancing - you either have strong perks or strong save options, not both. If a hard earned down after 2-3 minutes looping is resulted in him going down on a pallet/all around are flashie saves then there's virtually no way to even benefit from downing a survivor - this is old decisive strike+dead hard all over again.

For Oni i would debate around a month is after release were they limited his flick range to a small cone in front of you, effectively forcing head on hits while dashing

I think Nemesis was arguably stringer before they nerfed his zombie walking speed addons and marvin's blood. He was able to Tier up much faster and his zombies were much more punishing.

You should do the best states for each killer now

Freddy and pyramid head need an add on overhaul. I mean half of freddies addons just improve his hearing lol

Nurses worst state was right before she was killswitched for a month to recode her entire power. There were multiple game breaking bugs that would lose you games like blink bug and m1 bug and grab bug

The weakest nurse was is when she did her bloodwipe then went into the fatigue

Myers' weakest state was actually on release, with his add-ons getting slightly buffed around september/october time of 2021 (tombstone add-on and vanity mirror buff, alongside the memorial flower becoming a grey instead of a yellow). Wierd how they changed his add-ons yet have left his basekit power in the gutter.

Oni was definitely worst back around Mikaela's release. The original Circle of Healing and even it after multiple nerfs was painful for him since healing was so quick and easy.

10:30 I stand by the idea that Franklin's Demise on Pinhead should have been removed to begin with, not because it was OP or anything, but because it was a waste of a perk slot and annoyed the hell out of me seeing it. Downing the Survivor to get the box allowed for far more snowball potential than anything Franklin's did.

I still get confused when I play doctor since I always think I have to switch for thr power. Ain't no way they changed that in 2017 could have sworn it happend recently

the original ghost face on the very first PTB of his was by far the worst power we've ever seen. granted, it was an early build of his power and he obviously released into live just fine, but PTB Ghostface was, hoo boy. Basically, shorter mark duration (like incredibly short), long recovery, and the counter to ghostface was too... spin your camera around 360 degrees constantly. by having GF in your vision for literally like a second, you'd be instantly revealed. this is all to say, the original GF was literally just a 115% movement speed killer with the ability to crouch, and that was it.

I would argue that HUX is still way too weak, his EMPS are weaker than PTB, but man they still counter him and the fact that walks and trees exist making it impossible to hit survivors with a pod unless your in an open loop and still making EMPS way too easy to grab and the fact that you don’t remove an item slot means people can run around with EMPS at the start of the match, use the emp and still have the purple medkit with charge and speed add ons to heal within 6 seconds

Oni had a period of time when his flick was a max of 30 degrees

That Victor couldn't hurt survivors isnt quite true, before the ability to close the locker victor was able to just jump at the locker and somehow hit the survivors inside

Sadako was weakest on the PTB. She actually recieved quite a few buffs when she came to live including a smaller terror radius and few other things

When they reworked clown they also buffed his reload substantially, so yeah, definitely weakest before that.

There was actually a brief period after Oni's release where Oni could not turn his camera and flick at all while attacking with his power. You were locked into lunging infront of you. This was undoubtedly his weakest state and made the killer unplayable for a week or so until reverted. Scott Jund has a few videos about this change from back in the day.
