I get the four main ones are based off of precious jewels but Diamond weapon was yellow just to maintain the color of the four crystals of red blue green and yellow
oh shit- that is genius. Linking each BIG weapon to one of the four Huge materia that at the same time is like the classic four crystals? It's perfect. One of the ideas thrown around was that the huge weapon from the Rebirth trailer I mentioned, what it has in its chest is literally one of the huge materias themselves. A big ball of green juice
I've always been fascinated by the Weapons since playing FFVII, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they play out in the remake trilogy. One bit of trivia; the mobile game FF Record Keeper had a fight with the FFVII version of Sapphire. I can't remember when they added it to the game, as I stopped playing it around 2018, and they closed the game in 2022 but I remember seeing clips of it online. Interestingly, the sprite is also based on artwork from the FFVII Ultimania book.

I know that Record Keeper is like a huge treasure vault of Sprites artwork of almost everything you can think of that never had sprite artwork lmao, so that's cool. I am hoping to see the classic old weapons in part 3, it would be super exciting I hope the marketing focus on that
From FF7 you mean? I think there's a connection OmegaChaos there yes, but with it being Vincent's Limit it gets a little bit weird in contrast to what Weapons tend to be. So both that and maybe Jade weapon from Before Crisis get mentions but I don't include them much with the rest 👍
Hello. There is just a slight mistake on your video. At the start of the section about emerald, the weapon you show in the cinematic trailer, that is sapphire. Well, to be fair they are not the real ones, they are added for Rebirth only to set up their role in the future. Once Emerald Diamond Ruby etc appears at their due time it will be the exciting part
