Spacers aren't cheating :) Is that a geography compass or a geometry compass? Ha! If you walk backwards with your spray paint around the circle, you won't spray your own shoes ;) Too much grey on grey for me, but the firepit looks especially inviting.
Ive been looking for her since the end of Knock it Off!!! I am so Thankful for LOWES for continuing her beautiful work in this new show- THE Weekender is the ISH:-)
I would never ever paint brick. It is never the same even if you sandblast it to remove the paint . Sandblasting removes part of the brick and makes it rough, you have ruined it forever. There are better ways to soften a wall like that than to add paint.
Love The Weekender, but when future seasons are produced , please please PLEASE stop showing what the finished project looks like in the intro. The homeowners are always surprised for the reveal at the end and I’m betting your viewers would like to be too.
I wish she just white washed the brick, painted the ground dark gray and kept the wood colors on the railing to compliment the gray. Too much gray tones everywhere
I think this is my favorite one so far!!! Love the grey and the cedar wood together just gorgeous!!! When u brought out the stain for the deck I was like no sand and stain it lol. But I were absolutely right it looks so good together!! If I were them I would totally paint the rest of the house that same dark grey. Then put shutters on the windows if there are none. I would stain them the same color as the deck, also the trim of the house.. I just love it and that pit!! Girl u guys did an awesome job!!!
I saw this episode in a RU-vid channel as an ad and was like wtf a 15 min ad? Wasn't even paying attention at first. Usually I let the ad play to support channels I subscribe to. After awhile I actually started to watch it and got hooked. Unfortunately RU-vid closed on me, but before it did I saw the name of the ad at the top and had to look for it. Now I'm addicted to The Weekender. Only bad part the channel I saw it on isn't getting its share 😕, but enjoying this channel 👍👌exquisite.... Lol Loving it.
Monica is really helping LOWES! So many interesting, fun and functional DIY ideas. Weekender is a great at showcasing Monica's talent. She makes jigsawing look easy for girls... More, more, more please.
I have a question please. How many feet around for the fire pit please? You said the sitting area was 8 feet but not for the pit it self. Thank you!! Love this!!
Omg! I looove the weeekender! Found u yesterday and have bingewatched 2 seasons haha! You inspire me so much. If u ever come to Sweden i have a hallway waiting for you :)
Looks great! But, those lovely stones at the bottom of the firepit? I'd rather pour those around the outside of the bricks of the firepit, and put cement inside the firepit or leave the ground as is. Also, that white deck is going to be hard to keep clean. I wanted to cry when they painted the brick but even more when they painted the deck, haha. Still it does look awesome... just wondering about the upkeep.
Considering they couldnt stain it during the weekend of rain they chose to do the solid stain. I originally thought she was gonna whitewash the brick as well but I like the grey and blue tones so to each its own.
I have a serious question cos in my country it's rare to have a house with outdoor deck like this. My question is during the rain, do y'all move in the furniture with fabrics and cushion?
Red Alert: I Needs Monica here ASAP! Just made a crazy buy.... since last Monday., everyone's been late flooring people flaked out, for carpet..., Gardeners dad didnt show up to give laminate estimate. UGH! I GOT TO BE OUT OF HERE BY SUN, SO I CAN CLEAN UP OLD ONE! I AM SO FREEAKED OUT!
Btw, yes, you can eat culinary rosemary. If you like the taste; many do, many don't -- like a lot of herbs + spices. You did a really, really nice job w this Nashville deck+ firepit, Monica & Matt + homeowners!
OMG!!!!! Monica!!! What happened to Knock It Off? I have been looking for you for almost a year. Thank goodness I finally found you. I loved KIO, then suddenly it was gone. Your DIY ideas are just great and easy even for a novice. I definitely will be watching you on RU-vid. Yeah!! She’s back!!!!!!! Hammers to the ready!!🔨🔧🧰
Why doesn't she put her hair togeter when she is working with rotating tools? It is a safety issue. My technical instructor would never have allowed me to work with open hair.
Hi, Fidencia. Did you mean the grill cart? If so, here are step-by-step directions on a similar project you can modify to suit your needs: low.es/2pAXfK6.
Where is the material list for the fire pit? I went to the Lowes site and chatted with a rep, and the chat rep said they couldn't get that info for me. ?!!😖
I feel like the light grey flooring will show every mark and it also looks very cold with the grey wall. I don't mind the paint on the brick, but I would have preferred a darker, warmer color semi-transparent stain for the floor and wood rails. I love the cart she built. I might build one of those myself.
They don't put tape in the edges before colouring the walls, yet there is no paint splatter. I wonder how they make it. I'd really love to see how they work in real life.
Woooo!! Love the Grey, in most of your videos, I found that Grey is the hero and I am super fan if Grey hence painted my while living room with shades of Grey. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us
The fire pit was so incredibly easy to create and its own island in the backyard! Kudos! The deck turned out to truly look like an indoor room that was moved to the outside and the planters on the walls provided the invitation to gather and enjoy!
This is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone refer to composite decking as having a high-end look. I feel like Monica was just trying to trick the homeowners into being okay with hiding the wood grain.
