I was sitting by my piano the other day and playing around with different chords and came up with the tuning DAC#F#AE and I was like “holy shit I’m a genius” and started writing a few songs with it. only now do I know that Yvette already had that shit down. Fuck.
Just discovered Yvette and her band a few days ago through youtube. I wish i could high five her, i love seeing younger, real musicians get the attention and respect they deserve. Godspeed.
How many times did she have to record that intro? Looked like she was about to burst out laughing after the take. Love her playing style too and it's a great demonstration.
I've listened to the new Covet album probably a million times since it came out. My favorite band right now. Thanks to RU-vid for introducing me to Polyphia, and Polyphia for taking Covet on tour bringing them to my attention.
I luv this girl and her awesome technique. Make me still confident that technical music still alive and will never desapear, and remember me that I have a long road of study in front of me.
This isn't really technical music though . That would be bands like Animals as leaders . Not implying that this is easy to play but prog metal uses a lot more techniques .
darny i have a finnicky floyd rose bridge on my guitar and im terrified of retuning. is that tuning just all the notes shifted up or down by the same amount? bc i can just retune the song and practice that way... ye im too lazy to count the intervals between standard tuning and whatever that is lol
IDK I wonder why Tosin Abasi and Andy McKee never made a song together, both of them are guys who can play the guitar really well. See what I mean? Doesnt make sense, just because they're women who play guitar doesn't mean that their music would mesh together. Listen with your ears, not your eyes, my guy.
@@prodchronic yeah i kinda guessed that as well, but it seems like it doesn't fit even for that purpose. for some reason to me it just sticks out like a sore thumb.
@@lemniscatusofficial you're right. I listened to the studio version and at first couldn't even find anything off... great balance between the instruments
