Brice's World no, this was his first ever show. WRONG. This was his first ever show, no media was allowed, tickets were sold out of no where a week before the show at a random store in Toronto. First ever proper show.
+haleigh I'm hoping he can go back to his roots in chapter 4. in his open letter he stated that his deal still allows him to do whatever he wants. his new sound is tarnishing everything ):
The show that introduced me to the Weeknd. Got dragged to it without knowing a song or who the hell he was. One of my favorite artists since that day. Good times.
You can just watch as he goes from scared to even say anything to singing the first line. It’s like something clicks in him and he goes into concert mode
I was dragged to this show without knowing anything about him and it turned out to be the most amazing hip-hop/r&b show i've been to in my life. I'm pretty sure he was indeed "High For This" though, but he still put on a great show!
If someone is underground don't you wanna see them become successful in their art? Im proud of where he has gone in his career and yes his music isn't the same but I still thinks he makes great and original music
roger yasser No, he isn’t back in terms of underground, he never will be, but that doesn’t mean he has gotten worse. After Hours is probably one of his best albums.
He still sings from the heart, it’s just much harder when trying to entertain thousands and thousands of fans, most of which are drowning your voice out.
And now he's releasing Chapter 6 soon, had some crazy ass relationships and still doing XO till eventuallly he overdoses. Take it easy Abel , we just lost Juice Wrld, i don't want to see you go too. It would be so cool to see you transition from music to acting.
+WTFiamabanana no. actually any of his fans prior to his pop/ mainstream transition has every right to be upset. He was a really good artist and it's understandable that he wants to be successful and dominate the music industry, it just kinda sucks cause you cant help but yearn for him to make the music he used to make because its like being sold on a lie or an empty promise. I'm not a hipster, I just really enjoy music and I spend hours listening and searching for good music. I promoted the fuck outta the weeknd but I guess his fan base wasn't enough
+Sophie Luxe why do a lot of his older fans have like a superiority complex over newer fans. You all get so angry that since you "discovered" him, you guys are the only ones that are allowed to listen to him
Yea 99% European fans heard for him since Earned it and The Hills same for me because he didn't had any concerts in Europe. But even now he still didn't had any concert in my or around my country I would love to go on one.
i’m literally crying. he looked so proud of himself at the end, i cant even imagine what was going through his head. this was his first impression and he ate that shit up. i love him sm
And I've been there since the beginning . Through my drug addiction, the darkest times of my life, and now sobriety. He started making upbeat songs when I got sober. It's like the soundtrack of my growth. 🥰
@@anthok6911 it’s a shame he sold his soul and is just another slave to the industry. Turns out he headed up being another gullible weak minded fame hungry singer. Shame.
So this is how the Legend begins. In the beginnings, there was Abel. He began high for this journey and made a promise to be a starboy and never to stop after hours. The Legend still continues... xo
HOLY insane to see him go from this to an international mega superstar in a short time... Been a Weeknd fan since Starboy but I am just now going through and listening to HoB, Thursday, EoS, and Kiss Land... WOW have I been missing out. Literally all I can say is wow, his style, his voice, his sound is just so good and different.
This video is so perfectly The Weeknd somehow and he’s not even involved with whoever filmed it. The pan and zooms in the beginning were like if this was planned and the suspense leading up to the first word coming out of his mouth so crazy to film something that was this era’s style
Is it a hot take to say that Trilogy as an album the collection of his 3 mixtapes is his best work till date. I'm well aware of the impact that Starboy and After Hours have but the vibe Trilogy has is unmatched for me idk why exactly the dark vibe is too good.
It was more than just his first performance, it was the first time the world got to see his face. Up till this point he had kept himself from being photographed, nobody outside of Toronto had any idea how he looked.
I was actually a bandwagon XO fan because I only found out about him when he released the album BBTM and then I started researching a lot about him and then I found out that his old songs are great and in fact I find them better than his songs today but I’m still a fan of him, his voice is so calming and sexy (no homo)
crazy how he went from performances like that to his after hours til dawn tour which is sold out in so many states! if anyone knows how to bring energy to a crowd, it’s him.
