Best friends, is there someone else and starry eyes are my favourites of dawn fm purely based on the lyrics and of course the smooth transition in to all of them. Less than zero is also great🌅
For me it's Less than Zero. That's my favorite song on the album. It actually takes me away to a different place. Close seconds would be Out of Time and Sacrifice.
Smooth. It's definitely a HIT. Your favorite song will change with every re-listen of the album. It's just like After Hours. One day it's Faith. Next day it Escape from LA. By the end of the week its Nothing Compares. Vicious cycle, but well worth it.
@@shobhabathini I’d say there’s a couple that are on the same level, if not better. I love Faith, but Dawn FM is insanely consistent as well as very very high quality
Yeah but that’s because Less Than Zero was specifically made as a top40 song to hit the charts.. the whole album is fantastic but this song hits different
bro I know, this song is incredible.. the Weeknd makes nostalgic music of the future. EXACTLY on repeat at 5:09 hahahaha same reaction with owowohooo right before the chorus hits without any drums is freaking perfect. lyrics... pfff so nice to see people getting the same feels
like i always say, this is probably gonna change down the road, but for now, here are my top 5 tracks from Dawn FM: 1) Less than Zero 2) Out of Time 3) Is There Someone Else? 4) Sacrifice 5) Starry Eyes
The album entirely is a masterpiece of its own and i love every song in its own right respectively. In my opinion the album is rated like this, and subject to change with more listens. Comment your track list orders too, I’d love to see everyone else’s list! Mine is as follows: 1: Is There Someone Else? ** 2: Less Than Zero 3: Best Friends 4: Phantom Regret 5: Out of Time 6: Starry Eyes** (This is at 6 but tbh Someone Else and this are so beautiful together its like one song for me.
For some reason the sample kind of gives vibes of The party and the after party and that's cool This song is so good cause it's got a subtle seductive sexy vibe but it also has this whole toxic love song element but it works And that's something The Weeknd excels at Everything about him and his work is full of contrasts and all the different levels and emotions l of life and of love And with his vocals and the production it's always going to be top tier
This song reminds me of the weeknds unreleased ep called "the noise" which he made before trilogy also the song called "do it" from the noise ep I feel it would sound so good on the dawn. The noise ep is on youtube if yall wanna listen to it
The sample reminds me of a lot of Drake songs. More recently Champagne Poetry. This song is definitely up there for me on the album. 1. How Do I Make You Love Me 2. Is There Someone Else? 3. Out of Time That’d probably be my top 3 currently
Man I can’t stop listening to this song but I always rewinding to the transition before best friends ends!!! I had to dance to that ish on the pole it was def so sexy! I love watching your reacts!
How old are you? Im interested because ive seen a lot of the younger generation say this and it's my least favorite song on the album. Im 33 and love the 80s aesthtic and also have been a weekend fan since before Trilogy was a trilogy lol I appreciate Less Than Zero for what it is and what its doing, but it just doesnt click with me like that. But ive seen a TON of people that say the same as you about it being almost perfect. it reminds me of something that would play in an old anime or something.
@@nrgao I’m 19, never been able to experience the 70s-90s, but I was brought up listening to quite frankly every artist, from Soft cell to Marvin Gaye to Bob Marley to queen, I’m very fond and I really respect the music of that generation, I’m also a musician as well, i study music so I have fairly decent understanding of it I can see your point if it being in an anime, that’s a good illustration of it and being honest i think this song has the least 80s synth pop vibe on the album, I think people love it so much because it’s not just a refreshing sound but the way the chorus hits, with The Weeknd’s voice being overdubbed into some kind of choir sound, it feels somewhat like a live performance and the chords he use are so upbeat but sad at the same time it’s just a well put together song in my opinion. His choice of words too have an impact, and like you said you’re fan of the Weeknd since trilogy, his lyrical writing is just amazing, but Less than Zero feels like a really comforting song, that’s the best way to describe it
Are you going to react to the two new remixes of Take My Breath and Sacrifice on the deluxe release. There are also two new videos. The Sacrifice video has a Billie Jean dance move homage by Abel.
Would love to see you react to Poets of the Fall - Carnival of Rust (their most well known song and the music video got voted as the best Finnish music video ever back in 2006 when the song was released). Truly an underrated band from here in Finland. Also a band with many different sounds all the way from slow melodic songs to full on rock. Although if you want to immediately hear a song that showcases how crazy good the lead singer Marko Saaresto's voice can be (and while his vocal range might not be the most dynamic out there he is an amazing example of what you can achieve by having absolutely perfect control of your vocals especially the raw emotion that his voice is able to convey) then i recommend listening to their song Daze. His vocals on the chorus are something out of this world. I just think that so many more people would love their music if they just ever heard them but since their from Finland it rarely happens. Although many have heard their songs in Remedy's video games Max Payne 2, Alan Wake, Quantum Brake and Control (Also every single reactor i have seen reacting to them has been pretty much blown away by their music so i'm very confident you'll like it) also... also... lot's of deep and meaningful lyrics and wordplay in their songs sorry for the long rant i just really want more people to know about them :D
