I’m not a huge Weeknd fan but I’ll try to explain this the best I can. This is the third teaser video released for the rollout of the new album. The album is the third in a trilogy (starting with albums After Hours and Dawn Fm) and will wrap up the story and also serve as his last hurrah as “The Weeknd”. The first two albums explored themes of pain/hell and regret/purgatory respectively. This final album will explore themes of rebirth/heaven. The other two teasers released are also pretty cool so they’re worth checking out as well. Hope this helps
I’m not 100% but yeah I think he was referring to demons in that last song bc in his after hours album he dies due to overdose then dawn fm was purgatory and this is the 3rd chapter to the new trilogy and if u look at his last trailer for his new album he’s being reborn and in the video he’s running and getting chased by "demons” to try and bring him down before he gets to the light to be reborn. That’s just what I think it all means hope that helps lol but his music is GOLD and can’t wait for this album
