His father left when he was very young so he only lived with his mother and grandmother. And the house is a house he lived in right before his fame and he got kicked out because of a lot of partying and alcohol and drug use, which made him homeless for a while. And the first mixtape he released in March 2011 when he was 21 years old while he was homeless is called House of Balloons which is a reference to the house he lived in showed in the video, he used to have balloons around when they partied to make the parties more fancy. That is why you see deflated balloons on the floor in the house. And maybe the mom is the light in all the darkness. And if you listen closely at the end of the video a couple of seconds before it ends when it's black, you can hear a voice saying ''Abel'' two times which might be his mother's voice :)

My thought about the clock is hes going through his memories, but it also moved so quickly. Idk if it's already been said but the house in the field is the loft he lived in while in Toronto, the "house of balloons". So basically the beginning of The Weeknd. Also lighting makes it look like a sanctuary, but eerie. Imo it how he used the Weeknd character to move ahead in life, which brought all this success, but in the end it also brought much more than that behind the illusions.
The albums gonna be a retrospective and recollective look at the weeknds art and how it has gotten him this far in life, along with his existentialism about the pressure of it all. But its gonna b filled w fucking bangers.

It's kinda sad that people need to wait until they reach a certain level of fame before they feel they can release music with their real name, talk about their heritage, culture etc, but I completely understand why they go in this direction to begin with. The Weeknd was promoting/teasing his upcoming album that time named "After Hours". which talks about his sins, pain, regrets, long story short, he's pertaining to hell. the album dropped on 2020. two years later, he released "Dawn FM". a conceptual album that primarily talks about the lessons that he learned (character development) and the pain, guilt and shame that he has experienced. long story short, it is purgatory and it is about his self reflection, self realization, self forgiveness, and about finding God. and lastly, this year, 2024, he's been teasing about the last album which will be the last part of his trilogy. based on his ig stories/posts, the upcoming album is about the after life, rebirth or paradise or (heaven), where he will be resurrected as a new being because he found God. i also think his trilogy is based on "The Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri, which tells a story about a character named "Dante" and his journey from hell to purgatory and to paradise. i think in The Weeknd's upcoming trilogy, After Hours is hell, Dawn FM is purgatory, and the upcoming album which is the last installment of the trilogy, will be heaven or paradise.
