Hi there subscribers, In this episode of VHTV Si takes out his newest rifle a laminate HW100KT for a field trial shooting problem rabbits. Please enjoy. Si & Davy.
I've been airgunning for years but I just bought this gun today but the walnut version.. Its pretty heavy but i'll get used to it. It really smacks hard to be fair.. Love it. Subbed.
Great camera work and editing. I especially enjoy the scope cam. I think your one of the best shooters on youtube and it helps us amatures learn the ropes seeing the shots through the scope with yardage etc. We'll done! Cheers from Arizona.
Nice work Si. I am just getting started into vermin hunting..Owned several type of air guns, all springers, latest being the Gamo 22 mag, single round, with the gas piston and topped with the bundled Hawk 3x9. I think I told you in another comment on a different vid that I was saving for a PCP, but after watching Sniper Davey with his springer I am thinking of updating with a better springer. Here in the States (Alabama) our game laws are such that in order to take coyotes, bobcats and rabbits you must use a 30 cal or larger which I happen to think is rediculous as we all know what a well placed 177 or 22 poly can do. At any rate, cheers and looking forward to more videos from the pro's such as yourself.
Excellent. I have 5 pcps from all the usual suspects and IMHO the KT 100 is still the best of all of them. Excellent marksmanship too. It can't be easy looking through that camera screen all the time. ATB, A.G
Great video, and shooting. The permissions there are so nice to pest on. Pleasant surroundings. Footage nicely taken too. Si, could you possibly make a video on the correct proceedure on turning a FAC Daystate Huntsman XL , into a 12 pfe. shooter. I know it May sound strange being here in CALIFORNIA. But no one knows how tough it is to find someone to correctly tune power to UK specs!! it would certainly help many airgunners out here who do not, want more power! I would certainly appreciate your help on this!! Desperate to get my beloved Huntsman xl in 22caliber to shoot @ 12-pfe. !! Thanks bud.
Hi Si, nice bit of shooting. Nice to see a bit of rabbit hunting. Nice rifle. excellent review top bit of camera work. all good keep up the good work. all the best Adam.
Great shooting nice locations and always great rifles good video great vermin control plus great to see birds of prey getting the rabbits so no waste 👍
Good bit of camera work there Si, keep em coming, Si could you do a video on learning to Zero a springer, I'm new to air gunning and could do with a little help. cheers
Just been looking at this exact gun. I want to use for targets and rats. I was edging towards going for .177 but the gun shop said avoid .177 its a waste of time, goes straight through rats etc and they run away injured, which is deffo not wanted. He said everyone who shoots vermin brings em back and goes for .22. He said only .22 will drop rats and rabbits etc plus.22 is good for target shooting up to 50-60yds. I’m confused after watching this because this .177 has no problem dropping wabbits!
I'm looking to buy my first ever PCP and definitely getting the HW100KT. My only concern is .177 or .22? I'll be using it for rabbits/pigeons/squirrels and so on.
You say the laminate is lighter, which is strange as I usually thought it made rifles heavier than pure wood as it's much more dense? Are you sure that's correct?
Hi thanks for a great channel the video's are excellent. What is that calibration tool you have? I thinking of the HW100KT or the Daystate Wolverine R laminated - what would you recommend?
Hi Mate, Looking to get back into shooting again after a 10 year break due to travelling, I had a Weihrauch HW 57 spring gun before which would knock down rabbits pretty well, I've never had a PCP and this is the route I'm thinking of taking this time, I do like the Weihrauch HW100 but I also like the Air Arms 410, Looking at a Nightsite Viper also as I mainly night shoot rabbits and feel with the night vision it would give me an extra edge than lamping, any advise on the options I've given you also what scope would suit either gun and whats best pellets for either gun too, really appreciate the help, thanks. Zac
I have one in 5,5mm, without silencer because of laws. It throws pellets under 0,6 gram supersonic. The 4,5 mm pellets i use for my pistol are usually about 0,5 gram. Do you have to use extra light ammo, to avoid that? Not only is it loud, it also destabilizes the pellet. I didn't hear the crack in the video, so you are obviously shooting subsonic, but why is it subsonic?
For some reason I thought you were up north my friend and I had a peregrine falcon from her many years ago and yes it’s a lovely place to visit love your videos
26m zero is a bit random, any reason please. also when working out distance metres to mill dots what increments to you seperate you targets, ie 26 metres 36 46 and so on.
excellent shooting , all head shots and instant death , watched yestarday some black guy in US spraying pallets all over animals bodies , mostly wounding them perhaps he should watch this channel to see how it's done
@@thebackyardpyromaniac6040 He probably means he is an Animal Lover. Just does Target shooting or Plinking. I'm the same , i would only kill to eat if i was starving , but have no Problem killing Rats
