Astrotrain’s accessory is not a caboose, it’s called a tender and it’s what steam engines pull to carry its fuel (coal and water). Astrotrain is a steam engine so it would make sense for him to have a tender, even if it is just to boost him up to leader class.

Heinrad's already a silly little guy in terms of his design (haven't watched BWN so I can't comment on the character as a whole) , and while it's an odd design for an accessory to us Western fans I'm sure it probably makes much more sense in the eyes of the toy's intended market, so I'm willing to let the sake gun slide. It's a fun little addition to a fun little guy.
The Optimus Primal banana thing is probably a reference to the Japanese dub of Beast Wars where they had a couple of clip shows with banana in the title. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that there was a running gag where he kept complaining about having misplaced his banana in the Japanese dub, but I can't find it now, so take that one with a grain of salt. Anyway yeah, Masterpiece Primal coming with bananas isn't that out there in the grand scheme of things. I mean it is, but at least there's some degree of explanation for it.
I'm INSANE and I didn't read it either... partly because I don't think it's even in English but mostly because I just have no interest in Kiss Players. What does sanity have to do with it?
A couple other examples would be; Unofficial Headmasters treadmill and gym cycle. Cyberverse Spark Armor toys came with separate vehicles. There's an unofficial flamethrower accessory for the WFC Siege seeker molds. Target exclusive Dark of the Moon Mechtech Leadfoot comes with a human racer themed after Target and has a robot pet. Beast Wars Scorponk has access to a bee claw. Generations Clampdown's car police headlights become part of his axe weapon. Legacy Cosmos Speedia 500 version has access to a random racing flag.
That Leadfoot was a Human Alliance figure; of course it'd come with a human. The robo-dog... is definitely weird to people who don't know, but also neat.
Classics Bumblebee's Jetski & Trailer that turned into a "flight pack" - Animated Leader Class Bulkhead and the non-transforming Head Master Unit - I know it has a function but still weird like an incignito 2-pack Prime Smokescreen and Shockwave's "Beast Armor"
Kissplayers in general had some weird accessories. Ignoring the girls, Rodimus came with a bun steamer and a fishing pole.and the Autorooper came with traffic cones. Though I thinknthe award for weirdest accessory goes to Nezha. Who comes with a whole ass Chinese Demigod to stuff inside his torso.

I think Animated Prowl is my number 1 favorite transformer design of all time. I've watched the shows, exceptanything newer than Prime, unless the OVA series with the 3 transformers that combine into one with the samurai helmet thing is newer.
The recent Legacy Core class Shockwave's pizza I thought was weird AF, it's supposed to be a radar dish for his vehicle mode and a 'shield' for his robot mode but why is it bright red and not like, purple or silver then?
Okay for Blitzwing, what would your actual pick for energon accessories would be? A bigger gun? A bigger sword? A football? I personally like the shooty fingers, you can actually mount them on his shoulders and add blast effects and it looks really cool (or that's just me). Or is the entire point being mute because "it's a leader it should be bigger". Not all of us have giant rooms with custom shelves. Ps: currently making a custom of Go-bots leader-1, they shoot lasers out of their hands, the red fists of boom work for me.
Maybe making the jet mode better or a couple of folding panels to cover the tank dick instead of having to go third party option. Don't care if it was 'G1 Accurate', it's not tank accurate.

One accessory I thought was weird was the shotgun that came with Evasion Mode Optimus Prime because in all seriousness it was an accessory for the DotM Megatron
While accessories referencing a specific G1 episode are dumb, I'm all for extra weapons, armor pieces and yes, Blitzwing's Hulk hands - simply because I can use those extra accessories on other figures. Blitzwing's went to toy color Scorponok to make him more distinct.
As someone who was very much anti Astrotrain caboose, I got the mold as Galaxy Shuttle...and oh my gosh I don't remember the last time I held a figure as dense as that mold is.
5:47 I have to admit to something I have never done before, I did not know Legacy Beachcomber came with a bird from the golden lagoon and i bought mine a while ago so the chance of finding the one that came with mine has long gone. The best I can hope for is they keep the bird for if they do a G2 Beachcomber repaint.

The crummiest thing about Skywarp’s slingshot/tuning fork is that it doesn’t combine well with the Core Hot Rod’s sword or Iguanus’ blaster/hilt thing, making the whole point of combining them pointless.
I am surprised super 7 wasn't mentioned, either the basket ball and surfboard of optimus prime or the Megatron head to make it look like he is drunk with energon
9:26 all The money could have been used to make his both alt modes look more normal instead of a tank with a cockpit in the front or a plane with robot arms hanging beneath, they gave him hands that looks like The ones off that Unicorn Trilogy Bruticus. Also, I feel like MP Blitzwing is gonna be again a massive plastic origami that somehow fail to have a good alt mode or anything but a passable straight on standing pose

For the record... the 10th Anniversary Optimus and Megatron don't even look like any form either of them actually had in Beast Wars. I don't know why those toys were in that toy line at all, especially when their actual Beast Wars toys were also reissued in that toy line at the same time. I have the reissued versions which are remolded slightly with new heads that look more like the cartoon so I never got to experience the mutant head gimmick. The Deluxe versions were absolutely created for the Cybertron toy line first, and then just reused for Beast Wars 10th anniversary in their season 1 colors even though that's not what they looked like. So he has a surf board because he's kind of a blend of his season 1 and TM designs with the Cybertron aesthetic. The surf board is not the weird accessory... the weird accessory is that the 10th Anniversary versions came with a little Axalon and Darksyde that are exclusive to that version, those ships were not included in the Cybertron version of those figures and I think that means the molds for the ships aren't on the same tray as the parts for the actual figures. While I'm talking about Optimus Primal and weird accessories... can I just talk about the weird skull mace his original gorilla mode came with which he never used in the show... and still doesn't show up in Kingdom either even though they designed Paleotrex's robot head as a homage to that mace. I bought Kingdom Primal and Paleotrex together just for that weird reference, they're the only Kingdom toys I got because I could not pass up the weird random reference to that one accessory. There's a Generations Optimus Prime that comes with a version of Roller who actually transforms... and I think is still the only time they've made a figure based on G1 Roller with a robot mode. There is another transforming Roller but it's a repaint of Rook and doesn't really look like the accessory Optimus Prime came with. Anyway aside from giving him a robot mode they also made him a target master with a gun mode. I also appreciate how the Ghostbusters crossover version of Optimue Prime has a Ghost Trap Roller. In general I think it's cool that both Optimus and Ectotron have their own Proton Packs. As for a weird accessory I actually have... MP01 Optimus Prime came with a Megatron in gun mode and I couldn't even remember a time when he actually held Megatron when I got that figure. It did happen a couple of times but was rare. To make that ever weirder, my Skywarp came with a C-clip specifically to attach that Megatron onto the front of his nose cone in jet mode which I also don't remember ever happening in the show and I still don't know exactly when that happens. Skywarp also had a little tiny Doctor Arkeville that could fit inside his cockpit. And yes I'm aware both Arkeville and the C-clip for Megatron are just left overs from the Starscream version of the mold but it's still weird he has them. I also personally love that he comes with optional missile pods to make his jet mode look more realistic with spots on the display stand to hold the extra accessories. I miss when MP figures could actually be scale models of real vehicles before they started making them more cartoon accurate. Classics Bumblebee coming with a water ski that transformed into a wing pack or whatever that thing was suppose to be. I never really knew what it was. Going back to crossovers for a moment... Gigawatt has the hook thing that was only used in Back to the future 1, the Mr. Fusion and capability to fold the tires in to replicate the look from Back to the Future 2. The only thing it's missing and I don't know why they didn't do this but they could still remold that into the Back to the Future 3 design which would just require remolding the hood piece that flips around on the chest and his gun. The hood needs to be remolded because of the added tech detail that was added to the hood in the 3rd movie and the gun has to be remolded because a hitch was added to the front of the car so it could be pulled by a train and that train hitch actually attaches to the same spot where his gun is stored in vehicle mode. I don't know why they didn't show any love for Back to the Future 3 with that Crossover. I also could have seen Astrotrain being repainted to go with it. Fun fact: That train is actually still in functioning operation. I live in walking distance of the actual train station where the movie was filmed so of course I'd love for Hasbro to make Astrotrain as that train, they're probably sell the figures at the gift shop there if Hasbro did that as they do sell copies of the Back to the Future 3 and other merch from the movie. One weird accessory I don't have but find it hilarious and had to mention it... There's a Starscream figure that came with a Targetmaster figure and the Target master is Waspinator. I just love that we went from Starscream possessing Waspinator in Beast Wars to a Generations toy where Waspinator is his gun. And he doesn't even needed a targetmaster weapon, he still has his usual Null Rays, they just included it because all of the Legends figures at the time came with a Targetmaster accessory. I think they were in the same wave as the Optimus Prime and Roller I mentioned earlier. Oh one more thing I'd like to mention... I did not know this watching the show, I never experienced the original toy, but I had Universe Depth Charge. I'm going to talk about Pok'emon for a minute here and mention that Mantine actually has a Remoraid under one of it's giant fins. Mantine is of course based on the Manta Ray, the same animal that Depth Charge is and I found out that Depth Charge's gun is a Remora fish, which is what Remoraid is based on. I never knew that Depth Charge's weapon was actually it's own species, I just thought it was part of his beast mode, but no it's based on another fish that has a symbiotic relationship with Manta Rays.
Yeah the Cybertron/Anniversary figures were meant to be combined elements of all the shows forms into 1 new figure. The skull mace thing was just part of early plans, that the cartoon flat out ignore to do its own thing.

Maybe they had produce sections in the local Energon stores on Cybertron. Maybe offscreen, primal decided to have a box of Energon bananas custom packed. I don’t know why this would be referencing some thing from offscreen, but who knows at this point.

I hold the opinion that if it’s an accessory that was used only once in fiction in a non-memorable way (86/SG/Velocitron Blurr’s welding torch, Kingdom Rodimus’s sword), it shouldn’t be thrown in with the figure. Beachcomber’s bird, Cliffjumper’s bazooka, Kup’s Energon goodie dispenser, and Optimus’s borrowed-from-Sideswipe jetpack all were memorable. No one is asking for something that only the biggest diehards would want for completionist reasons. I can defend Astrotrain’s tender and Shockwave’s drone. Astro’s been missing a tender for years (and it’s good weapons storage) and Shockwave absolutely would give himself a drone buddy (headcanon: it’s either a prototype Fistfight or it’s a control harness for the Decepticon Titan Tidal Wave). Blitzwing’s Demolishor gun hands can rot tho Also, Beachcomber retool Ruckus’s bird is just a crow he adopted. I’m calling it.
Imagine if you hadn’t read RG1 and all you know about Rodimus comes from the 86 movie and Season 3 of the G1 toon. Sure, you could do the research, but you’d still be scratching your head as to how he got this sword.

I actually like the weird random accessories though I am surprised to see the bird on a retail figure and not a Masterpiece cause that feels like something the Masterpiece would do.
I, for one, want a Bastion homage out of the Legacy Beachcomber mould, just so the bird can coloured as Ganymede. Hasbro do/did make Overwatch figures.
