Isn't Hugh a writer or producer on the show? Dara seems to rarely give his team the points. I presume out of some of fairness, for that is worth on one of these totally subjective and utterly meaningless panel show scores.

Especially against a team where 2/3s are useless. Widdicombe is the only one that is actually funny.

Because Milton's act is crap.

It's the modern BBC, which means the other team has several points multipliers for having a brown person and a gay woman. They may not be very funny, but they tick demographic boxes, and surely that's more important!

I love how people actually seem to think that the points in this show matter.

As an American, that was part of my British cultural studies I do off this show. I had to look it up. It's just what we Americans call a Whopper, which is confusing because a Burger King burger is also called a Whopper - capital "W", and a large fish or a big lie (often about big fish) are also called whoppers - small "w".

The bake off show takes place in a tent, but the show was moved from BBC to Channel 4.

..and the BBC had originally commisioned and/or purchased the 'tent' awning system. Leaving them with a large now unused tent and its related equipments & storage issues costing money & space.

Probably The Great British Bake off going away from the BBC to Channel 4 (in 2017).
