Kris. I started crying when you were talking about EDs. I binged as a teenager, had anorexia in my early 20s, and that changed to orthorexia that I still struggle with now at almost 29. Thank you so much for being so kind and spreading positivity even when people like me feel so down and dark. You're such a wonderful light on this corner of the Internet.

I had a cancer close to my head, and it had to be removed by surgery. There was only 50% succes rate. The other 50% meant my death. I was obviously very scared but when it was time for me to go under, I felt only a strange calmness and acceptence. Luckily I am now very healthy. Fun fact: I watched a lot of your videos during recovery.

Kris, as someone who kinda suffered with bulimia for a short time before i fell into drug addiction (thats a long story, addiction helped me with ED, you kinda get skinny and dont really feel like eating anything, but it totally ruined everything else in my life. Thanks god today Iam almost 1,5 year clean, healthy and happy as i never was!) your speech about eating disorder and about having only one freaking life to live.. im literally crying from happiness. You are the sweetest person alive. Keep doing what you're doing. THANK YOU for having you.

My dad told me that when I was little, and had to get eye drops(which was quite often due to multiple corrective surgeries) it would take 9 nurses to hold me down😮 I am 36 now and rarely need eye drops, but when I do i STILL have to get someone else to put them in for me and another someone to hold down my hands.

3:50 When I was four-five years old I had to get tubes in my ears, and I also had to have my tonsils removed. I was so little I didn't know the dangers of it, so I just thought I was going to sleep, and the gas just had a nice smell that helped me sleep. Because that experience went well, and because my mom is a nurse, I've never really cared/been nervous about going under for surgery.

3:50 one time when I broke my nose I went in for the surgery and I was in the waiting room, but I was the oldest there (it was the children’s ward) so I had to wait the longest. all I could hear when the other kids went in there was screaming and crying then deadly silence. my anxiety kept building up until the nurser came to get me and she said “alright, your turn” and I just suddenly burst out crying. none of the other kids cried but I did. anyway my mum was crying too so I guess I wasn’t alone

i truly needed the mini talk about bad eating habits and behaviors. i’ve been struggling with my ED for many many years now, including being hospitalized for many many months. It truly is an awful disease and i wouldn’t wish it on anyone. thank you Kris for mentioning the topic of ED it made me feel less alone

A few years ago I stopped being able to eat in public. My parents would take me out to dinner, I would eat some food, and I would immediately feel like I was gonna throw up. I would always have to leave and go to the car instead of sitting and not eating because the smell of food would make it worse. About 4 year later (now) I still can't eat in public but I have migrated from my room back to the living room for dinners and instead of eating the the cafe at school I eat with 2-3 friends and a teacher in her classroom. No one besides my friends believe me when I tell them this (my parents think I'm crazy). I'm so grateful for my friends, they are the best ❤

I love KallMeKris's videos, and the best part about them is that you know its gonna start with a complement but in the most weirdest way but its still gonna flater you.

I like that you stopped to talk about EDs for a moment. People who have not experienced them themselves or with loved ones need to understand them more and know what to look for. I'm proud of you for talking about yours. I have BED and have been to treatment for it. It's a daily, sometimes hourly struggle, but recovery is truly worth it. Praying for anyone out there struggling. You are worth recovery! ❤️

3:48 I've had 15 surgeries, and about to have my 16th. If you have to have a surgery, ask to have the 'happy juice' before the wheel you back to the operating room. You won't remember getting on the table. It hits you fast and hard lol.

So I used to have an extreme fear of needles and decided to conquer my fear by donating blood. My theory was a sort of shock therapy, deciding that if I could get through it I could make it through any needle. It went terribly with the nurses botching the procedure and me spending twenty minutes with a needle in my arm as they jiggled it around to keep me from clotting early. In the end it did work though as by surviving one of the worst experiences with blood donation my fear of any other needles was well and truly conquered

Kris, I believe my niece, who's living with me and my parents, has an ED. She recently switched over to 'organic' foods, and only eats the exact amount your supposed to eat. If she goes over, she throws up.

Tysm Kris. I just am so thankful of you talking about ED. I used to,and still do, random body checks mainly on my stomach because I see myself as overweight and fat because my brother(s) used to taunt me about eating to much, I used to eat 2 small snacks a day and i lived off of it for months and became a bit underweight. I don't quite think that my story has to do with ED's, since I don't quite know much about them at all. But just thank you for telling us to get a snack, you're my fav RU-vidr and I couldn't ever say no to anything you'd ask us to do. If you asked us to get get a glass of water if we haden't already, then I'd go get a glass of water, maybe two, if you told us to go to sleep I'd turn my tablet/phone off and i'd lay in my bed until I fall asleep, if you told us to get a snack then I'd get two or three. You are my daily reminder to always keep on going no matter what i'm going through, we are here for you and you are here for us. You are pretty, kind, gentle, and just overall so nice. I love you so,so,so,so much Kris(not in a weird way though, as a best friend though) From: a person who admires you and wants to be alive just bc of your daily reminders of how important we are to you

3:51 I was put under to have a hernia repair surgery. I woke up after they had already cut me open. I remember yelling, "Who are ?"Where am I?" as I tried fighting the doctors and nurses. I also remember calming down as they began yelling I needed to calm down and they need to finish.

I was 6 and i bit a dentist on a follow-up appointment who was taking yet more teeth out of my mouth. My mum was so outraged by his swearing she took me straight out of the surgery. Weeks later we found out he had been charged for taking unnecessary teeth out for money from patients for years! I may have lost 5 baby teeth but I'm so glad he got some baby justice.

This hit really hard... especially the ED one... i recently broke up with my gf, and im fairly sure she's very deep into a ED, ive never seen her eat a full plate of food, and god-- im very worried, because i just know its going to get worse, but i cant do anything, we live in completely diffrent places... its hard, and i really hope she stays safe

So, I love going under. You never know what kind of me you get when I come out. I may forget speaking English, or I may completely forget my name and as a nurse who wakes me up what my name is very gently in basically childs voice. I also try to ask if they need hep with other patients, why I basically cant move because my feet are still are asleep. I basically become a mischief gremlin who wants to do stuff and start calling people just to say hi and send them GIFs and random meems.

The thing that gave me pause about keeping ashes, is that a mortician was talking about all the different ways, someone asked about when you get your loved one back. They said that they do a little clean out after each person, but short of pretty much blasting the entire chamber, there is a high likelihood that the ashes you get back may well have a few stray ashes from those that were cremated before, which is kind of freaky to me.

I went into the prep area feu surgery & all the staff were people i knew professionally, has i was the linen porter feu the entire hospital. Great feeling knowing all the surgeons & assistants have seen yer junk.

Surgeries have never scared me but the going to sleep part does everytime. I can remember a surgery nurse telling me that I needed to wake up because I had been asleep to long. I never met her but can still hear her voice almost 20 years later.
