And the tracks are made of only 6 main segments! Brilliant! I imagine going any faster than a walking speed would be an issue. Slow and steady wins the race here.
@@julesdomes6064 yeah you don't need speed but your tractor would go twice as fast if you needed it to without blowing the contraption apart. I'm just making a point
Есть философия, у кого риритет та страна богатая экономикой и уважение к людям и государству, те оставляют следующему поколению, а это культура и взаимное понимание, залог в экономике и в счастье, доказано историй и есть факты, спасибо за видеоролик.
Look Ma! No flat tires!! Seriously though, I find the equilateral cable/pulley design to be a little more graceful than the ovoid rail guide design. But they're both a great solution to a real problem. Thanks for posting these... never seen them before!
The Ford N series would be a great candidate for this set up. There were commonly available add on transmissions for the N series that combined, could seriously reduce the ground sped of the tractor while allowing the PTO to operate at full 540 RPM to run the trencher.
Would've been nice for me when I was coming down my driveway with about a 30-40% grade and I tried to down shift in my 48' JD. No brakes, did a power slide on two wheels, bottom of the hill, about 20 mph. Ended up with my head about 2" from an Apple tree. Parked it and sold it. Missed the shift, steering wheel got ripped out of my hands when the speed wobbles started. Scary stuff.
I can just imagine how it would be to have a stick get caught in that mechanism the woods are heavy Rush probably why this didn't last very long I've only seen one of these over the years and now I've seen this one. Very weird Square wheel lol
Those Ol'Timers were pretty ingenious with some of their ways of getting things done or problems solved. I guess this leads us to the old adage..... There's more than one way To skin a Cat! 😉
