As a woman, I am grateful to live in a western white male culture. Yes, not perfect, many regrets and our society is a work in progress but there’s much to be thankful for- the abolition of slavery, civil rights, science and technology, leadership in environmental protection, health care, workers rights, consumer safety and protection…. The list goes on. There’s still much to be done, but there’s much to be grateful for.

Hi Douglas! Do you thinks people in Europe and the us have a problem with the deep understanding of hamas view of life? People doesn’t seem to understand why Hamas will sacrifice their own civilian and hence they deny the use of human shield and atrocious against does who “don’t follow the way of Islam”. They don’t understand what Myrtle is for the Palestinians, why will someone value death more than life. I thinks this one of the reasons people keep believing it’s a “resistance” for freedom because they are failing to understand the difference between the western civilization and the Islamic world. I am not Jewish but I am sure the historic, and modern, treatment of Jews must be a source of constant confusion, frustration and hopelessness to Jews. His point about free speech -- that he sees it as a practical/pragmatic good, not an intrinsic moral good in & of itself-- is exactly the European apprach to speech that led to speech codes in Europe. Euros see value in free speech only if it produces a public good. Therefore if they see an idea (e.g. Holocaust denial) producing bad social results, then they have no problem criminalizing that idea. Because, like Murray, they value free speech as a means to an end, not for the sake of freedom itself.

Most western countries believe that war can only be done on a battlefield. If you google is it possible to invade a country without using military force? Yes, and it will list ways. 1. Simply select a first world country which is prosperous. 2. The people lack gratitude for their own freedom and reject their own history and culture. 3. Established Balkanized communities within the host nation but still retain your prior national allegiance. 4. Grow your own population inside the host nation. 5. Align yourself politically with other aggrieved groups to form a large coalition of voters who all want free stuff. 6. Maximum use of government assistance in order to bankrupt the host nation and foment revolution. 7. Once the free stuff voters outnumber the taxpayers, defeat is inevitable. The host nation collapses. So just think 🤔 on that.

Douglas is a really fascinating person, but more than that he is a person with a broad vision, he does not rule out religion and culture and is not in favor of Israel because they are the chosen people according to the Bible.... He calls people to stop being evil, anti-Semitic, and narrow-minded. In my opinion it is true that anyone who believes in these things without having proof and truth in his words is definitely an ignorant person...who goes with the flow without having his own opinion!

Precisely in our trying times, we are in need for an expansion of consciousness to let the upper force of love and bestowal into our lives. We need to raise the pain and anguish that erupts in so many people in such times to the upper force, and wish for it to mend our torn relations, and draw us closer together. We must seek to hold each other close to our hearts, not solely in times of war, but as an enduring duty. We are a nation established not on a biological foundation, but on a spiritual-ideological one: "Love your neighbor as yourself." That is, we were people from all around ancient Babylon who felt a problem with living our lives solely according to competitive-materialistic ideals and sought for a higher truth to our existence, which we revealed as a higher force of love, bestowal and connection that united us above our divisive drives. That is why we cannot remain divided without suffering from our separation. Our mission to unite above our divisions is constant, because divisive egoistic desires constantly surface within us, driving us apart. Therefore, much like a diligent student who finds new homework awaiting them each day, we should not accumulate any more overdue assignments that end up exploding in our faces, pressuring us into critical situations such as the one we now find before us. Instead, we should hurry up and correct our hearts to favor unity “as one man with one heart” above our divisions.

I would like to address the question about questioning faith/religion within Christianity. There is much written about the Protestant reformation particularly in England. When I first became a believer in Jesus/Yeshua at 21 I was given book after book on the reformers like John and Charles Wesley, and also was it Whitfield that was around the same time? Also in the USA with Charles Granderson Finney with his holiness preaching. My point is that many have questioned the status quo to bring about a more pure more compassion based faith. If mr Murray reads this please let me share from my understanding of anti gay rhetoric. Many have stood on the words that condemn gay/ lesbians and say sodom was wiped out because of their sexuality but I read in multiple places, particularly in the prophet Ezekiel saying it was the sin of being over fed and unconcerned, they did not look after the poor and needy. The book of Romans is used also as a sword to stab gays which if read further Paul says but do not judge because the way you judge other you condemn yourself because you also was like this. Please don’t write off a faith experience just because of ignorant people. ❤

I used to be optimistic by nature. I think I was. Now, old, I’m of an opinion that Israel can never find peace for its people whilst ‘the thing’ that hates it, and surrounds it, still exists. And I can’t see how ‘the thing’ will cease to exist. And so this whole area will always be engulfed in barbarism unless God intervenes and puts an end to it. But Douglas Murray at least tries, and keeps trying, to speak sense where sense is lacking. Thank you as always Douglas. We keep relying on you to speak and reason.
