Gotta love Jed's reaction to Albie Duncan. This should have given him a bit of his own medicine and an idea of what he puts his staff through when he goes off on one of his ramblings. LOL
It feels like this was a substitution to Lord Marbury - only that this time it was Leo's pal, annoying the hell out of the president and not the other way around.
Robert Ballard's expedition was funded by the U.S Navy not to search for The Titanic, but two lost U.S. submarines. Titanic was something they allowed him to do with the spare time remaining after completing his primary mission.
"Where did everybody go?" "Well Columbia's fighting a drug war, Ethiopia's trying to feed itself. Belgium and the Netherlands, they've got cheese and chocolate to make, I suppose." talk about taking it literally! 🤣😆
He is a park buff, but in another episode, he told Charlie that he doesn't like modern American history and would prefer Crusades and other old stuff. He is a nerd but he got taste.
Hal Holbrook was put on this Earth to play 2 characters Mark Twain and Assistant Secretary of State and Schweppes Bitter Lemon spokesman Albie Duncan who I liked substantially more than his exemplary performance as Samuel Clemens whose literature and wit almost makes up for the fact that he married the richest girl in town Olivia Langdon, summered here while writing The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn in a octagonal study that is on the Elmira College campus less than a mile from his burial site which is tje biggest reason I prefer Dickens lol
"I should know, I was there!" rings true a little differently when you starred in the movie as compared to when you're bragging about being at the crucifiction.
Technically it is 8 as the first episode of S3 is a play piece called Issac and Ishmael. Some say that is episode 0 but I don’t think it is wrong to count it as the first episode.
Jed's "I don't" is exactly what makes him so qualified for the job. He's running because I thinks he can genuinely do some good in that office and he recognizes that if you're doing it right the hardship and work outweigh any benefit or glory. Someone should put that clip on constant replay for the next 9 months at Mar-a-lago.
If you played this clip for 9 months straight to Joe Biden it's possible enough of his sparse neural connections could coalesce and he might remember it.
Everytime I hear that story about the Glomar and the Russian sub and how we conveniently lost the half containing all the important stuff. The more I am certain they made that part up and we got the whole sub and the Russians knew we did but they wouldnt call us out on it because they would be validating that we got one over on them.
@@tn270585 Nobody was ever meant to know we went after that sub, but like all secrets vital to the national security of the nation and kept in the interest of maintaining the peace, journalist will gladly throw them up on the front page first chance they get. We then had to come clean about it and that was when we said we didn't get anything of value.
