Back in 2009 I was going through the same thing with a 91ce. Made sure to only drive it on the days the track was as empty as possible for 3 months. Dialed it into perfection with all modern day electronics of the day and entered it in a race. 3rd placed amain with it. That alone sparked a frenzy at my track of all the older guys pulling their old cars out and we made a vintage class. Sadly that track lost it's lease and no other local track wanted to run that class no matter how much we cried. But that amain was my moment of Zen against tlr's and b4's watching that old bucket screaming and holding those cars back. Out of my entire rc10 collection that's my favorite buggy.

Very cool. I turned my old RC10T to a woin buggy last year because here in the Northwest, stadium truck is pretty dead. This season I won 6 out of 7 club races and placed 2nd in a Northwest Championship Tour race weekend, all on 1/8 scale outdoor tracks. Handles the bumps well, and is way better on these lower traction tracks than the modern mid motor stuff. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Awesome! I know at first there were some guys that complained that they couldn't get the feel they were looking for with this setup. I just think they hadn't given enough time to figuring it out. There are plenty of guys out there that have them working well.

Didn’t know rc10talk had a channel. Haven’t been to the site in a while or posted anything in years. Glad to see it’s still going.

Awesome Video, I think I’ve bought over 10 sets of Klein Arms myself to re-create a version of this, til this day, one of my favorite RC10 builds….planning on doing one with a graphite chassis😉👍

I know I'll continue to build more. Thankfully I have a decent amount of B44 rear cva's left.

In the full-size car scene, this could be called a "restomod", albeit a very extreme example of one.

Is B44 cvd still the go to answer for cvds for a rc10?

A stock rc10? No. You need wider arms to use them properly.

Is that an MIP Transmission? What kind of differential does it have? I have one and it has no way to put a screw into the outdrive. One of the outdrives has 4-40 threads in it and the other has a hole that is too small for a 4-40 screw to fit through it. Is there a diff screw that will fit this differential?

The trans in this car is an RPM 2.65 stealth conversion. I'm guessing you have a MIP SP-1, maybe? If you go to our RC10Talk forum, in the "scan archives", there are a few MIP instruction sheets in there. If you have the Pro ball diff, the hole in the one outdrive is there to access the diff screw to adjust the diff. I don't remember them being 4-40 though.

Thanks for the info, I'll check on there, only one outdrive is threaded 4-40. I was thinking it was like the stealth and I was looking for the T-nut that goes in the outdrive on one side and a thrust bearing and screw on the other one.

One could probably run Tamiya Astute wheels with that setup eh?

Not sure. I don't have any to try it either.

I’m going to cut a custom granite chassis to put my rb 10 front and rear end on it and use an old schools rc10 body

Good vid, but the use of “ah” every 5 seconds makes it hard to finish watching the vid.

Wouldn't it be nice if AE and Losi would just bring back the good ol day cars and trucks. Don't you think there is a big enough following. All of the new stuff is is expensive cheap crap IMO that I won't waste much money on. OLD CARS RULE
