That last shot of Londo at the end, looking down, then off into the distance, completely without hope, for 25 years that one shot is still in my mind. What a BRUTAL ending for a character.

I have to say that one of the best parts about this reaction is actually listening to Mega sort out his thoughts about Lyta. Just awesome to hear it get sorted out in real time.

Not a lot of sympathy for Lyta here. It’s a pity because when you think about it, she really has been treated like shit by Sheridan and the others. They wouldn’t have won the shadow war OR the earth civil war without her, and in return she gets bankrupted and evicted from her apartment.

As with so many people I've written a couple B5 fan fictions. One splits the timeline where Sherdian still give Lyta hell for her actions with the destruction of Z'Ha'Dum, but instead of solely condemning her, he offers her an advisory position. Her quarters get paid for and she gets a stipend for food and luxuries and in return she helps Franklin with the frozen telepaths. Franklin discovers the connections sooner and is able, with Lyta's assistance, to start the process of freeing telepaths. Lyta also talks to Garibaldi when he visits Franklin at one point and Lyta picks up on the programming done by Bester. The problem is by this point the campaign towards Earth has started and Garibaldi has just left for Mars when Lyta realizes exactly what she saw. Basically it ends with Bester being spurned by his lover after Sheridan is able to offer her and the freed telepaths asylum alongside Byron's crew and Bester never goes after Byron's crew because his lover is among them.

Well ... IMO Mega is JEALOUS of Byron (and thus hated him) and this got transferred to Lyta. The rogue telepaths never hurt anyone UNTIL THEY WERE PUSHED ... so all the "this is a cult" stuff of Mega was completely missing the point.

@@Muck006 They weren't pushed at all. They CHOSE to resort to terrorism to try to achieve their goals after learning that the VORLONS created them. They then blame the humans for what the VORLONS did. They dug their own grave.

3:27 JMS said he put off finishing editing the finale for a year, partly to avoid spoilers getting leaked but also because he wanted to delay finishing it as long as possible.

Part of what drove the Garibaldi alcoholism story was JMS desperately trying to reach his friend to get him to accept he had a problem. I feel like he'd get your anger...

I have nothing but sympathy for Lyta after the way she's been treated over the course of the show and all the times she's risked her life to save them all and totally get her anger here. Shame that only Franklin seems to get why she's pissed off. Sheridan's actions towards her in this episode and his total failure in dealing with the telepath situation in a good way (though Lochley didn't help with that) is definitely a dent in the character for me this season as much as i love him the rest of the time. And Lochley....well punching out Lyta endears her to me even less.

Ah, so much build up for shit we never get to see. This was JMS in full pitch mode. After a slow, plodding season, he’s world building three episodes from the finale, angling for that feature film that we never got. If you want answers, you’ve got to get those hard to find trilogies or, at the very least, Book 3 of the Psi Corps trilogy is essential. It was odd to see them re-using the shot from last week of Londo still on the Throne by himself but this is demonstrated in the Centauri trilogy. If the Keeper was displeased, it wouldn’t allow Londo to get up and would keep him there until he pissed himself or worse. Truly awful. There’s a blooper out there of Franklin saying, She’s pregnant…. AND YOU DID IT!”

"You are not the only one who's been touched by a Vorlon". When it comes to it, I think that Lyta, Garibaldi and G'Kar got a good deal out of this. And yes, Poor Londo... He has done a lot of terrible stuff, but this he didn't deserve.

People have been put to death for a lot less. Isn’t it funny how “knowing” somebody will cause us to be so forgiving. The only one who ever held Londo to account was Elric. He called it like it was. Somehow Londo became the hero if the hour and skirted punishment for all the death and destruction he helped bring about. I love the guy too but it does illustrate how some of the greatest mass murderers and dictators had friends and family who cared about them.
