Finally somebody is doing WoT recap, good job. WoT season 2 was a huge improvement from Season 1, still not on the level of the book ls but definitely very good (aside of that last episode).
This show is an insult to the memory of Robert Jordan. Staring down Hollywood's recent onslaught of lackluster adaptations (I'm talking Wheel of Time, Halo, The Witcher - just to name a few), it's glaringly obvious that the tides need to turn. Cue AI like ChatGPT, and suddenly a handful of skilled creators are producing higher quality content than a bustling writers' room. Those in the industry unwilling to embrace the tech revolution, prepare to be left behind! The wheel of time books has some of the be examples of strong female character, good examples of strong men who cared for others. The show has weak females that simply win and save the stupid bumbling men. No equality or character growth, and that makes for boring stories. This is like later superman when he became to powerful and it killed the story. Character growth and conflict are often essential elements of a compelling story, regardless of the gender of the protagonist. Stories where the hero gains power and faces no obstacles can lack depth and emotional resonance, leading to disengagement from the audience.
