Yeah but most people won’t see it this way. Honestly I was watching this and found myself questioning the writers motives because with Hollywood being so woke and liberal I was thinking that this scene wasn’t satire but they actually believed that every wealthy whites person who ever lived was a racist who stole money from some brown person.

She’s just another 20 something woman, they are all spoiled children no matter their ‘class’ or if they’re just average looking.

It's annoying. As a broke black girl myself i would be a bit more respectful and grateful to my friend's family for paying for an expensive trip like that instead of disrespecting the adults and blaming them for being white and rich.

@@casiecase12 right? I struggle to sympathise with her, the way she just goes with the flow in being a mean teenager with her friend and disrespectful to adults. If she felt so offended then hello go home, dont even come on this vacation, keep it to yourself with the adults and then walk away

She reaps the benefits of her privilege but still fancies herself as someone who should subvert it. She means well but is deluded.

@@melaspink2535 no - everything is the same for decades in these shows - sopranos or the wire are clever but this is only staffing. Actors are very good but story is very poor

Exactly! Everything about Paula is irritating. Two wrongs don’t make a right, and it’s so vile to repay the same people who bend over backwards to accommodate you by setting them up to get robbed. I sooo hope she gets caught.

@@jamesmorrison2055 Agreed wholeheartedly. I do think it’s her in the casket for so many reasons. The irony and fact that almost everyone can’t stand her at this point would be the rug being swept up from us next Sun if it indeed is her. Brilliant show.

It was so endearing in a way, the way she did that, but any man in real life would run!! Run far far away … unless… he is terminally ill and doesn’t care as long as he is having a good time now

Can’t stand Paula, she should be grateful her bestie brought her to a paradise vacay. Paula in a way by pulling that stunt w her boyfriend at the resort brought her host family closer together and helped salvage their marriage! Hope her boyfriend doesn’t get caught! Since it was Paula who made him do it

It is. The quality and sound track makes it dramatic but the storylines aren't that amazing. It's over exaggerated

But how different is the price of the rooms ? I am starting to think they don t really have a different price. The honeymoon has the patio but the other one has a better view . Seems like all the suites are on the same level .

I think some teenagers go through “grumpy” experimental drug period … But stuck up entitled kids are the worst case scenario. Rooms are differently priced, depending on view or how high up the floors are or other perks.

Yeah if the jewelry was THAT expensive, it would be easily recognizable or traceable. Kai's only option would be to have it melted down & try to pawn the stones or something. And hello...cameras?

Wrong .. Olivia sensed that Paula had something to do w the theft that’s why she’s digging at her. It’s first time after staying for days at the hotel Paula showed “interest” in the safe … Olivia asked for the combination right in front of Paula.. then minutes later theft happened

@@ghoststrad2000 Oh yeah. I forgot she looked at Paula once as if she knew she had something to do with it. Olivia is still keeping the necklace from Paula thought, which is awful.

Yes! It's SO INTERESTING. They oddly prove the point the show was making with her! Paula's actions stem from a very specific kind of bitterness that POC develop when they're inundated with the injustices present in the world. Mr. Mossbacher pretty much looked her in the face at the table and said that he doesn't care about any of it. Paula used Kai to exact vengeance. It was NOT a "good" thing to do at all, but so many people are missing just how grey her decisions were. Paula, like the other not rich/white characters, is one of the only characters who experiences genuine remorse and consequences! But ultimately she was tied to the same privilege as the people she visited with. She's obviously flawed but she's not evil in the slightest, she probably has one of the best motivations for her questionable decisions, and she even feels BAD about it lol. Hating Paula is an indicator that you might be the exact type of person that Paula's character is meant to criticize.

Her role completely went over their heads, I totally agree with this.
