Wonderful to find a Grabinski story in English on here.especially one I did not know.His stories have stayed in my mind since I read the Dedalus edition of his stories 25 years ago.
Oh yes, that is one of my personal favourite collections of weird fiction. Lipinski, the translator of The Dark Domain, is currently working on translating most of Grabinski's published fiction for one of those Centipede mega-volumes. That will be pricey af, of course, but he's also looking into making his new translations more widely available afterwards.
@@manfredarcane9130 Excellent news and long overdue.I know only the Dark Domain stories and a couple of others.The Black Hamlet made a deep impression on me.One night many years ago I drank to blackout and next morning I was told I had been rampaging through the city centre shouting at the crowd,''Get out of my way you filthy rabble!!I'm a leper!!I'm a leper!!'' Maybe I should stay away from Grabinski.
Oh I am so glad I subscribed! This came up after I listened to the Secret Worship recording. I confess to compete ignorance of this gentleman. Thank you for remedying this horrible gap in my knowledge
