Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on RU-vid, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on RU-vid. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on RU-vid, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel, like the video and comment down below which video you would like to see me react to next.

Its subjective. I've never been a fan of The Beatles, I admire their standing in the history of British music and probably know every word to each of their songs but I wouldn't rate them as one of my personal favourites. I much prefer The Who, Stones, Kinks, Small Faces amongst others. Each to their own I suppose ❤

Great reaction! The Who rocked the Circus to the point of blowing the Stones off the stage. They didn’t release the movie until years later because they knew the Who upstaged them. Classic!

Townshend did defend the Stones in his book, saying Jagger was working double duty as producer/coordinator of the Circus show, and his voice was shot toward the end. The Stones were also just starting to develop their live sound again, but with Brian Jones almost completely alienated from the group, they were not as honed in as they would become in the Taylor years.

05:48 They're singing "Cello, cello, cello, cello.." because Townsend originally wanted to have cellos play that part. His producer wouldn't shell out for hiring cellists, so "Cello, cello, cello, cello..." it was.

So my band plays this song on the regular. Imagine being a 56 year old dude on the drums and this is the last song of your set. It's the hardest and funnest song to play...this is one of my favorite songs. It's great now other are seeing and hearing what we've (our band) have known for years.

This is one of my favorite Who filmed performance. They are so damn dynamic, as they had toured a lot. The Rolling Stones, whose project is from had taken a year off touring, various reasons, and their set is quite good, yet The Who “kick it” -all members are on overdrive! This was Pete’ early version of a “Rock Opera” - they would play it in concert, on occasion.

I heard that the song was because they needed to fill 10 minutes on the album. Where it said Jerald was supposed to be cello and bow because Pete wanted one played in the song but the could not get it done )

Nice to see Brian Jones right at the end. For more intense live performances by The Who, check out "See Me, Feel Me" from Woodstock or "Young Man Blues" from the Isle Of Wight festival.

My kids are always bitching about how often I watch this video. I you notice at the end there is a blonde guy clapping; that is Beian Jones, the founding member of The Rolling Stones. Also, the Rock N Roll Circus featured a band called The Dirty Mac; featuring John Lennon, Eric Clapton, and Keith Richards playing bass on "Yer Blues". That one is worth a look as well. However, it was unanimously thought that The Who had by far the best performance of the night!

Supposedly the Stones didn't allow this masterpiece or the rest of the performances to be released for 30 years due to the fact they were embarrassed by how much The Who kicked their asses here.
@fuchsiaswing8545
@fuchsiaswing8545 Год назад
Well, it was their last appearance as The Rolling Stones in the Brian Jones era. He was more or less a futile presence by the end of 1968, and as seen in the video, he was not looking his best. The Stones could not do much because Brian was never around and spiraling out of control, and thus he was terminated from the group. Jagger was also working double duty at the Circus show, and by the time his band performed, his voice was almost shot. It was a huge wake-up call for the group and they knew they had to do something about Brian if they ever wanted to compete with the raw power and potency of bands like The Who.

Yes, true about Brian. Yet during the recoding of “Beggers Banquet” he was together to provide the main riff for “no expectations” according to Keith. Brian does appear “out of his head” during the Circus in Dec’68…one of the last film of him, sad too. That Mick and Keef have lived until they are even 80 years, and made quite a good set of song recent -wouldn’t have thought any Stone would be alive beyond 35 years. Well, Charlie, likely would outlive some.

It was dangerous being front row at The Who with Pete smashing his guitar & Roger losing control of his microphone - he once hit my hair. Safest place was infront of John. A Quick One is an amazing "Mini Rock Opera" done on the cheap "Cello", "Cello", "Cello". You Are All Forgiven

The Stones put this concert out in the late 60s. John Lennon, with Clapton on guitar and Keith Richards on bass, you really should check that one out Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithful Jethro Tull and the Stones of course all performed over 2 days. It's a darn good concert.
@davescurry69
@davescurry69 Год назад
Not quite right. It was filmed in December 1968. It was released in 1996. The reason it was kept on the shelf for years was The Who blew the Stones off their own stage. Even when it was finally released The Who were positioned near the beginning of the show and not where they actually performed, immediately before the headliners. The Who had just got back from a U.S tour and were ready to go. The Stones were rusty having not toured for about 18 months and it showed.

Original song she’s just a girl not a girl guide, presumably older teen who has a boyfriend and slept with other guys and then a twenties driver. Pete just threw in girl guide as a silly provocative throw away phrase. But in an age of cultural Revolution of youth, a statement like that would troll and outrage the oppressor conservative establishment older generation. A perfect trolling
