I love this video. It's like hearing someone with troubled mind reveal their diary entry to you, spilling out their emotions. The scratched lines of repeated texts make it feel like the writer's grasping for the right words and sentences that perfectly encapsulate what needs to be said while we're giving attention.
That was wonderfully written and very informative about this time, Era. Most importantly, the Who! Well said, I've gotta say, "Great job!!" 👍🏻 I couldn't have said it better if I tried. The Who their music is like no other. They're are so uniquely talented. Never will there be another. 🤩😍😝🤟🏻✌🏻💖
Pete Townsend has a quote that sums up the WHO perfectly, he said we have a lead singer, a lead guitar player, a lead drummer & a lead bass player. Each one of them is a fantastic musician & Townsend wrote incredible lyrics, geniuses all!
I purchased the Who's Next album when it came out and I was thrilled that every song on both sides were keepers. The Who became my favorite group when I heard Magic Bus, I still love that song and play it often. I only got to see them once in Concert and I loved every minute of it, it was at the Forum in Compton, Calif. way back when. I own every one of their Albums and every one if them is still in perfect condition because recorded the first play onto reel to reel tapes so I can can listen to them often without degrading the sound. I have a couple of their factory reel to reel tapes and even so I purchased the albums as well. Yes, you can call me a life long who fan and I'm proud of it.
Share your Sentiments... From being 'a cast out' and often struggling for acceptance, this Album movitates! Despite some Dark Songs, the Stories tend to encourage #Challenging The System for improving it... This is So Important, particularly if you have #REAL Suggestions to #Improve our Communities!
Wise investment. Great taste in music. Love the sound from reel to reel as well. Almost equal to vinyl. If you have a top of the line machine and buy the good tape, and store properly, they can almost last forever.
I know for sure I'm not the only person who feels like this song was written about them... but I really do feel like that with this one has me at the center. To anyone that feels alone... you are loved.
And Roger Daltry. And Keith Moon. And John Entwistle. It's an alchemical concoction, a magickal working that raised up one of the greatest egregores of all time: THE FUCKIN' WHO.
Get the album you will not believe all the great songs on it. Songs you have heard but didn't realize they were on one album. THE WHO is the greatest rock band ever. Saw them 5 TIME'S the greatest rock band ever
This is the perfect song describing my soon to be ex husband who is Clinically Diagnosed with ASPD born with a brain wired as a psychopath. I was about to celebrate when I filed for divorce 😊 But that’s when his mask came off and he went on a Narcissistic Rampage Terrorizing me daily from then on. Hell Bent on showing me who he REALly is and what he has all this time REALly been capable of. Outrageously frightening with Insidious Reckless Shocking Abuses. He is a Malignant Narcissistic certified Pyschopath Genius that is criminally insane and the dangerous man hellbent on punishing, torturing, and Destroying me for the rest of my life with Absolute No Regard to our children’s safety and well-being. He deserves to be accountable for all his malicious abuses and illegal criminal behaviors. In Jesus Name AMEN!🙏
I had a "Who greatest hits" cd and I accidentally left it in a rental car. People turn things in to the lost and found all the time... I went back to get it from the lost and found drawer at the rental car company and it wasn't there, no one had turned it in! I guess someone else loved it as much as I did! I Iost one of the best cd's I ever had... 🥺
Well that's a damn shame. CDs are extraordinarily expensive after all, and best ofs of classic 60s and 70s bands aren't just clogging up shelves in every single store on the planet 😉
David, a close musical friend and confidant often covered this song so poignianrly well . . . Words to describe the irony of human behavior and expectation through the years . . . Truly a muscal triumph . . .
No one knows what it's like To be the bad man To be the sad man Behind blue eyes No one knows what it's like To be hated To be fated To telling only lies But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance that's never free No one knows what it's like To feel these feelings Like I do And I blame you No one bites back as hard On their anger None of my pain and woe Can show through But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance that's never free Mm, mm When my fist clenches, crack it open Before I use it and lose my cool When I smile, tell me some bad news Before I laugh and act like a fool And if I swallow anything evil Put your finger down my throat And if I shiver, please give me a blanket Keep me warm, let me wear your coat No one knows what it's like To be the bad man To be the sad man Behind blue eyes
This is my soon to be ex husband No one knows what it's like To be the bad man (“Evil Vile Reprensible”) To be the sad man Behind blue eyes No one knows what it's like To be hated To be fated (born with brain wired to be psychotic) To telling only lies (pathological liar) But my dreams, they aren't as empty (fulfilling them illegally at all means necessary with aliases and technological hacking) As my conscience seems to be (ASPD don’t have empathy concern for others only themselves-immoral indecency Psychotic) I have hours, (90% free time while “work”) only lonely (paying prostitutes for company) My love is vengeance that's never free (Hence, he’s Hell-Bent on Tormenting me forever) No one knows what it's like To feel these feelings Like I do And I blame you (see never accountable for his illegal lifestyles) (PSYCHO!) No one bites back as hard On their anger None of my pain and woe Can show through (Then people will see behind his Mask what he’s spent his lifetime hiding from everyone) But my dreams, they aren't as empty As my conscience seems to be I have hours, only lonely My love is vengeance that's never free Mm, mm When my fist clenches, crack it open (restrict him access to technology..) Before I use it and lose my cool When I smile, tell me some bad news Before I laugh and act like a fool And if I swallow anything evil Put your finger down my throat And if I shiver, please give me a blanket Keep me warm, let me wear your coat My love is vengeance that's never free
It seems like The Who are trying to embrace the next generation and music reactors which is nice. I don't know why other huge bands don't do this as well.
Man what a beautiful mix, from the separation of the instruments, with the acoustic guitar panned to the right and bass with vocal harmonies to the left. Such separation uncompressed really fills up the space to create a beautiful stereo image.
Keith Moon is my favorite rock and roll drummer of all time. Nobody will ever play like that again. The fills at the climax of the tune are untouchable.
Thank you from a boy named Tommy. 51 now. Still a believer in what we all reached for. You all leading the way as older brothers should. Interesting, Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, and TheWho all just released new/remastered material in the last two hours. The Great Awakening is here, ...and I sit behind blue eyes.
It's a really great song! Every time I hear it somewhere I stop myself to listen this terrific track. This work is one of the coolest in the world music. I'm sure in hundred thousand years people will listen it thinking the same thing. Limp Bizkit has replayed this song perfectly too and happened almost the same thing cause that was the same effect for people who didn't know about I guess.
Esta es una de las canciones mas hermosas hechas en la historia del rock .Junto con My generation, según mi opinión,muestran en su letra lo que el rock and roll significa.
These lyrics are so beautiful for the right person. I feel like they perfectly show a glimpse of what a narcissist/bipolar/sociopath/anxious person must feel. I pray for all those people, it's not by choice that they become like that... This song helps me be more empathetic towards my ex... I pray for her and all people like her 🙏
"When my fist clenches, crack it open Before I use it and lose my cool" As someone who grew up with an angry dad and catches themselves acting like him even though they don't want to, I feel that shit
If your talking about my comment , I wasnt old enough to know or care about good music. I love this song because of lyrics up there n I can relate to it

I woke up on June 14th, 2024 and this song was in my head. My first Musician crush was Keith Moon. Funny how some music is good 50 something years later. Sigh. How did we get so old?
