I love John's live bass improvisions on this song. So much more profound than his original studio recording. So melodic with those added pentatonics to his part.
Pure WHO! Pete can play Lead Guitar with the Best of them!! I of course always knew that as I have followed the WHO all my life. Saw them 3 times on this Last Tour, (glad that was wrong). By farrrr this was the most low keyed tame show by Who standards. The One I saw in Louisville Ky. & Lexington Ky. were a lot more wild and the One at Orlando Fl. really rocked!, wish it had been the HBO show! I guess this is the best version we have from 82 ? and I thank you for the uploading it !!
Back when it was hard to fake vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. No weird edits, cuts, and sound manipulation. Vocals are on point and the drums stand out a lot
What I want to know is, if the purists are to be believed and if this tour was so shit, why does it still look and sound so amazing and even bring a tear to the eye going on 35 years later?
Just watched an upload of the Shea stadium show and it’s awful. If the majority of shows were like that then I can see why, but this Toronto performance was so good, this is a great version of LROM btw
Fernando, I'll always remember him as a great man, musician and icon. But that was a pathetic, shameful way to die!! At 57 years of age, he STILL putting coke up his nose? Disappointing!
