What he has to do is to get tested against Holloway, Ortega and Yair, like he should prior to this last fight, and imo, is not going to end up good for him. He has done very little in FW to make those claims.
After watching this and hearing Ilia’s assessment of my Volks style vs his style, & what he meant when he said it would be “an easy fight” , I wanna see Yair v Ilia . Yairs “freestyle” style vs Ilia’s style would be fireworks in Spain
The majority of people had nothing good to say about this man for months. Imagine if he put his hands on Puddy or Suga Sean. They might have warn the verbal battles but in the octagon am confident he knocks all of them out. His self confidence and hard work are off the charts

Honestly I don't want to see the rematch. It's just going to happen again. Ilia figured Volk out, and Volk is one of the greatest fighters of all time... He's the featherweight goat for sure. It's just sad man
It's always sad when father time catches up to a great fighter. Especially because that doesn't happen gradually, it happens suddenly. Volk should call it quits, but he likely won't.
That would be awesome, and Ilia would meet his match, and then some... However, it's unlikely and, if anything, Islam wants to go up a division, not fight another guy from a lower one.
I agree with him. Most of them are old and not fit to fight for the title. Hollowey, Ortega, etc. There is no one in this division that can beat him yet and it's logical that he doesn't want to spend time on an absurd fight.

Don't think he would be interested in fighting against a another featherweight, moving to his division. Plus Topuria must prove himself in his current division. Until he cleared it, years could have passed by.

How can he refuse to give Volk a rematch. He was a long reigning champ and Volk actually called him from the crowd to do a face off after the Yair Rodriguez fight setting up a title shot for him. That’s really being ungrateful.
Out of all of them. Only evloev and Holloway deserve a title shot. The rest had opportunities and lost convincingly except arnold whos on a 2 fight losing streak. And basharat barely in top 5.
mcgregor is about rankings . ,mcgregor is the gold every fighter looks for . mcgregor some how is still the ufc even tho he didnt fight in ages . but i think conors era is coming to a end . he may have one fight or not . but if he does it should be against nate for 3rd time. against these young fresh fighters doesnt make sense

Yair Rodriguez , Brian Ortega and Josh Emmett in a rematch all have a good shot at finishing or beating him by points also he should have to take the rematch volk spent most of his championship years facing opponents given to him whether it was once twice or three times

I had doubts who would win between Volk and Topuria. With the level of confidence Topuria had it seemed like it was destined to happen lol. I thought the same when O'Malley beat Aljo. It's crazy.
I like his confidence and I agree with him about rematching Volk (as much as I love Volk). Having said that, Conor won't be fighting any time soon, and Ilia should defend the title at least a couple of times before going for big money or legacy fights. I suspect Volk will get the rematch, but I can't see a different outcome.

Volk deserves a rematch. I believe Volk's timing and skills are superior. He was out timing Topuria and punishing him with the jab.Obviously he has to stay away from that hammer right hand of Topuria for at least 3 complete rounds which is hard to do.
