I also am pleased to see you supporting the ‘sons of God’ interpretation as being angelic beings. For years, I pondered this scripture passage and about a decade ago, I finally heard someone preaching on it and was delighted to hear that my ponderings were legit. Thank you once again for presenting both interpretations and giving solid reasons why you do not embrace the ‘sons of Seth’ theory. I also appreciated your detailed description of the ark and its capacity as well as the fact that many people throughout the years have ‘seen’ it resting on Mount Ararat. I wasn’t aware of this.

David, you are a courageous man. I agree with this interpretation of Genesis 6. You have explained it clearly and convincingly. As a woman who loves God and His word, I Rejoice that this teaching is destroying the shroud that has covered women in the church since Augustine.

Here’s my question, can angels not take on human-like bodies? How else can we entertain angels without knowing it (Heb 13:2)? And, what about the angels who rescued Lot (Gen 19:1).

This is the first time I’ve understood the 120 years. I’m also glad to see another pastor not afraid to speak the truth about Genesis 6. I don’t think it was demon possessed men because then it still would have been the seed of man. I believe the fallen ones took on the form of man. We see it throughout the Bible when people encountered angels and thought they were men. And we’re told in Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Peter and Jude had comments in Gen 6 referencing the book of Enoch. That book was part of their doctrine in demonology and angelology in the 2nd temple period of Jewish traditions. Even though the book of Enoch is not inspired but it was useful for them to explain their point, quoting doesn't mean supporting the whole belief. Gen 6 also the context was Mesopotamian religion referring to the Apkallu story.

Hi Pastor Guzik. Let me start by saying I love your teachings of the Word of God! I’ve been following you going on a year now. I do have a question though. How do the words in Hebrews 11:7 bring you to Noah offered salvation in the ark that the whole world rejected? I’m not seeing that. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. I’ve always believed that by the time God told Noah to build the ark, His mind was made up and only Noah and his family would survive. Can you explain that verse a little more please? Thank you.

I wish I could speak to you somehow. I am new at learning anything from the Bible and I am so amazed by the way I have questions in my heart not spoken out loud and everytime God seems to answers my questions like he is speaking to me only through some teachings. I smile each time this happens because I feel so much connection and love It. Today during this video I found answers to questions or should I say my own actions of putting off learning the Bible to tomorrow. I been feeling God in my life the past year but I do seem to put of learning till tomorrow and today tonight God spoke through you as a message to me that it is time I follow God now that tomorrow is not promising that God will extend my time to learn and follow. I'm not sure if you read these comments but if you do can you please respond to me on what to do next on my learning mission.

Hebrews 13:2 tells us to welcome strangers in our homes because we could be entertaining angels. We can infer from this that they can assume the form of man quite convincingly (at least). If they have the form of man, what are their limitations? No clue. This was after God would have put a stop to this, so not sure what to make of it.

The traditional interpretation goes back to the book of Enoch which makes it clear that Sons of God referred to angels - fallen angels.

Sadly my own Pastor (A Calvary Chapel) lines up with “The Sons of Seth” viewpoint even though he could not explain away the very points you made David concerning why a global flood would be needed to kill everyone but eight people. We have no way of knowing the total population at the time of the flood, but it was a lot. My Pastor even denied there “Nephalim” and as you pointed out clearly how would there be a issue of a race of Giants being produced as we have very tall and big people today who are not wreaking havoc on the earth as a whole(Additionally all the animals were also killed and why start over with them as well?). Because as you stated it was a genetic issue for Satan to thwart the plan of redemption through “The seed of the woman” and as we know women have eggs not seed. It amazes me how people gloss over what The Bible says constantly especially a Pastor Sheparding a Church for twenty years. Also we have the “Sons of Anak” as Israel is taking possession of the land and the faithless ten spies succumb to fear and only Joshua and Caleb of that group make it in as The Lord says wipe out everything from these people Men, Women and children(Animals also) so why do this? ........ Genepool issue as it was Angelic intrusions and as you pointed out those Fallen Angels in Tarterus for these intrusions to this very moment. You always take on these these subjects without emotion and clear and consistent points by knowing the counsel of The Word fully.

The book of Enoch answers more questions. Men have picked what to include here in the scriptures and ask us not to look into what was lost and excluded but it goes along with the scriptures and only adds to them and answers these. Tough questions instead of letting men assume with their “understanding” of things.

We know that Elohim beings can take on flesh when they come here. They can eat, drink, etc.,. We also notice a rapid advancement on the ungodly side….

The earliest manuscripts of the Septuagint did not translate Genesis 6:2 as angels of God. It was only a later rendition that suggested the sons of God could mean angels of God. This was based off the Masoretic Text calling the angels God in the Book of Job the sons of God. The Masoretic Text is where all of this confusion started. Today every preacher who teaches that the sons of God in Genesis 6 are angels always refers back to the Book of Job. But there's a huge problem with this. For nearly a thousand years before the Masoretic Text was even finished the Septuagint never called angels the sons of God in Job, it simply said angels of God. When reading Job there is no doubt that, Job 1:6, 2:1, and 38:7 is referring to angels but for some reason the Jewish scribes when writing the Masoretic Text decided to use the phrase sons of God. They even changed some of the scripture to mean something totally different. Was it because these particular scribes hated Jesus? Likely. Did they agree with the New Testaments claim that Jesus was their Messiah? Absolutely no! Did they have a problem with Jesus' claim that He was the only begotten son of the Father? Yes! I would find it very hard to believe that any Jewish scribe alive after the time of Christ wouldn't have a problem with the Septuagint given the fact that most of the Old Testament verses that were quoted by the apostles in the New Testament came from the Septuagint and matched up exactly word for word. Let's look at this verse from Deuteronomy 32:43 and compare it between the two texts. Deuteronomy 32:43 (Masoretic) “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And render vengeance to His adversaries; He will provide atonement for His land and His people.” Deuteronomy 32:43 (Septuagint) Rejoice, ye heavens, with him, and let all the angels of God worship him; rejoice ye Gentiles, with his people, and let all the sons of God strengthen themselves in him; for he will avenge the blood of his sons, and he will render vengeance, and recompense justice to his enemies, and will reward them that hate him; and the Lord shall purge the land of his people. Notice the phrase, (let all the angels of God worship him), this is also found in Hebrews 1:6 but ironically in verse 1:5 it says, For to which of the angels did He ever say:“You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? So according to the Septuagint's Greek translation from an earlier Hebrew manuscript which are now all destroyed the angels of God couldn't possibly be referring to the sons of God who are to strengthen themselves in him. Let's now compare Job 38:7. This is sometime before the creation of mankind but after God said, Let there be light. (Masoretic Text) When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Septuagint) When the stars were made, all my angels praised me with a loud voice. Notice there is no mention of morning stars singing together, only being created. (Targum of Job 38:7 1st century BC) When the morning stars shone, all the angels of God shouted together. Here we have three ancient texts but only one says sons of God, the other two say angels of God. Which one is correct? The one that contradicts Hebrews 1:5 and calls angels sons of God, or two that simply call the angels of God angels. 1 Timothy 1:4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 1 Timothy 4:7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, arguments, and quarrels about the law, because these things are pointless and worthless.

There is no confusion here. The WORD OF GOD stands on its own. It is Men, who seek to know the mind of God, but can't truly understand What they see. God Gives us revelation, gives us Proper interpretation of His word. God does not give us a "spirit of Fear". He desires, wants us to study his Word. While I appreciate your efforts to break down scripture for the "layman", preaching like this presents unsure footing. We Have to be bold. Dismissing that which flies in the face of God's word. What you are not understanding, is the fact that the Sons of God were able to take on flesh, to cohabit with women and men. God himself presented Himself to Abraham as a Man, along with two others, when he told Abraham that Sarah would give birth to Isaac,and what He planned to do with Sodom. God forbid Angelica creatures from taking on Flesh after that, unless they had his direct permission. The Sons of God were Not in service of Satan. They were of their Own way, but given up to apostasy. You need to ask God for spiritual clarity..

Hello I would like to offer a prospective to your question that relates to the correlation of Sons of God with Daughters of Men. When I read it with a mind of modernization~I thought of Incest as we know that in today's society is frown upon and there's a good chance that there will be something genetic abnormal with the child. Secondly, Cain was cursed. Genesis 4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive they brother's blood from thy hand. I can clearly understand how it happened. Adam walked with God before Eve. It seems that Seth's side of the family did not spread the message about Uncle Cain's side of the family well. That would be when God felt disappointed and I believe that he wanted to wash away the evil by semi-starting over again with mankind. Another point God knew that unbelievers could persuad believer aways from him. It happened with King David, King Solomon and Samson. Samson knew that he had a specific terms to follow, but there's an Allure that Women posses that has the Power of switch the Narrative of a Curious Male/Man if he's not grounded in God

Adam and Eve were created to produce and fill the earth. Angels are not created to pro create. According to chapter 5 of Genesis Adam. Son of God. Who are the other sons of God in the chapter? None. We should not allow deceptive thoughts be added to the Holy Scriptures.

Doesn't fit the text? What part of God blaming Man, Men or Mankind doesn't fit the text? Exactly how many times is the word Angel, Fallen Angel or Demon used in Genesis 6? When God says, they took WIVES, was He speaking of marriage? Exactly how does God define Marriage? Finally we see children in the future from such a union. Men of renown, the first King mentioned in the Bible, and those who possessed the promise land came from which lineage? Ham's LINEAGE when, the son's of God took for themselves wives from the daughters of men. It's plainly in the text. Anything else is mirror to the garden. Man ~ the woman. Woman ~ the snake. Genesis 6 ~ it was Angels, Fallen angels or Demons. 🙄😒

This 'Pastor' says the 'sons of God' particularly in Job 1 are 'clearly' angelic beings.' Sons of God are always Godly people and NEVER angels. Here is Job 1: ~ Job 1: 3-5; When the days of feasting had completed their cycle, Job would send and CONSECRATE them (Job's sons), rising up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said, “Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus, Job did continually. Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. The LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “From roaming about on the earth and walking around on it.” ~ Job and his sons (Godly men 'sons of God') are 'CONSECRATED', presenting themselves before God with burnt offerings (sacrifices) for forgiveness of sin. Satan was among them on earth. God asked Satan and he said he was on earth. The next four verses Satan describes Job’s hedge of protection, his blessings and riches etc. Satan has been there with Job. ~ This isn't angels presenting themselves to God in heaven, this is Job on earth, with his sons called ‘sons of God’. Consecrate: to induct a person into permanent office with a religious rite i.e., to ordain the office of Bishop. To make or declare sacred, to devote irrevocably to the worship of God by a solemn ceremony.
