I am so impressed by your art and your storytelling! I learned so much about Clara Schumann. She was even more amazing than I had realized. Nice job on your German too! This is excellently done. Great information!
Clara Schumann ist ohne jede Frage "The Goat"
Wish I could've done this for Music History II instead of a 20 page research paper!! I am currently using this video for my upper level students since she is our COM. Female composers rock!! Thanks for the awesome video, and nice research!
I watched this to learn about Clara Schumann, and kept having trouble paying attention because I couldn't stop laughing and the drawings! Nicely done :)
This was a fascinating history. It is sad that such a gifted pianist who started performing at such a young age, despite her early difficulties speaking and reading, still needed financial assistance from her friends as an adult, despite her successful concert career. And I thought that was a pattern of just US musicians, even those with great talent. Hopefully this will all change in the future.
In terms of her virtuosity, she resembled Liszt, but her approach to music was the antithesis of his showy pyrotechnics-her technique was always in the service of what the composer was trying to communicate.
A remarkably interesting life but one fraught with sadness and hardship. Quite a legacy though ❤ I enjoyed this and found it really informative thank you
I agree with Cynthia about your German! Your handwriting did not give away if you are German. Your lively drawings, quick passed writing, you did not talk about Brahms at all, except for mentioning his name! All together thanks sooo much for this brief description of Clara..
Wonderful video! As visually interesting as it is informative, thank you! If you create another work on Clara, it would be interesting to explore the relationship between her and Liszt as she restarted her concert career later on. Very interesting and complex.
Thanks! And I love the minimal feature on Brahms lol. i know their >40 year “friendship or something more” story is extraordinary, but he also made her grieve a lot with his callous ways
this is extremely well done. will there be more content from this channel ? my request would be chopin, but anything you want to do would be entertaining.
I have found no evidence that there was a common work of a song cycle by Robert and Clara. True is, that he has dedicated one to his bride.
