The Wild Robot - A Quick Chat with Lupita Nyong’o 

The Wild Robot is easily one of my most anticipated movies of 2024.
The footage we screened at Dreamworks Animation studios a few weeks back is sincerely some of the most beautiful art I have ever laid eyes on. That feeling you got seeing Into the SpiderVerse for the first time but instead of the city and characters you know from comics, a lush world of nature and painted horizons.
This movie is staggering.
But beyond the visuals it’s immediately heartwarming and heart wrenching. Anchored by a wonderful performance by Lupita Nyong’o !
I got to briefly talk with Lupita about playing The Wild Robot and the difficult line to walk in going through her arc.
Beyond the Oscar winner in the lead role this cast Is STACKED with - Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Matt Berry, Vhing Rhames and Mark Hamill also starring!
SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE! How to Train Your Dragon & Puss in Boots set a high bar for my Dreamworks expectations, but they look to have exceed it!
