when they are doing the interviews and shelby is asked if she wants to see toni and she says no and that she wants to see leah. people were thinking that shelby and toni maybe broke up or aren’t ‘speaking’ anymore when she doesn’t want to see her but i think that them asking if she wants to see toni made shelby realise that she was being watched on the island because how would they of known about their relationship otherwise unless she told them which she probably wouldn’t of because of how much she was hiding her sexuality, so she wanted to see leah to tell her that she believes her theory and get out of there.

dot was eating sushi and later on the same table Shelby put her fake teeth on the table. They set it up for her to have an allergic reaction as a diversion for Leah.

Nora was the biggest twist! I thought it was Dot the whole time! O.O

if they get a second one, they actually set up the next season perfectly. You can tell that A LOT of time has passed between the shark attack and when they were picked up from the island to interview because Rachel's wound has healed, Martha and Nora aren't interviewed (possibly both dead) and Shelby "went crazy" shaved her head and has a leg injury. Then we also have the parallel storyline about the boys on their island and Leah discovering more about the experiment. They honestly have so many avenues, I just hope that they don't shift the focus completely to the boys because that's just another Lord of the Flies in the making.

i really hope that season 2 doesn’t revolve around the island with the boys it just seems so boring cuz like the main thing abt this ssn is that it’s all girls and with boys the whole thing would be off.

I kinda feel for nora: fellow impostor disconnected at gamestart and she had to deal with the crewmates all by herself

Is anyone else really interested in what happened to Shelby? They said that she "shut down" the minute they thought help was going to come, and then in the interviews they say they don't know "which one she's going to be" meaning that she might've gone crazy or something (what with her shaved head and injury)

1) So y'all know the theory about Dot somehoe giving Shelby that sushi so she could have an allergic reaction so that Leah could escape? I think that the girls might communicate through the vending machine. We see that they aren't allowed outside their rooms except for when they can go to the interrogatiom room ON THEIR OWN and we see Toni eating Takis and Dot must have gotten that icecream somewhere. 2) Also when Fatin was interviewed and asked whether or not Leah had shared her theory with anyone else, she said "no" in a very suspicious way and we see Leah losing her sh*t more than once... so everyone knew at some point, but that's a bit of a stretch, I know. 3) MAYBEEE Nora really did die and told the others who eventually formed a plan on how to confirm this and Shelby somehow got confirmation and as soon as she told Leah that her theory was right, the plan was set in motion. Maybe Shelby's only pretending to have issues with her mental health so they wouldn't see her as a threat.

I didn't expect the show to be so entartaining, I was hooked. But I'm a little dissapointed by the finale, because we basically got nothing resolved, just more questions. I wish there were at least some points explained like Shelby's leg and hair, where is Martha?, what happened to Nora, did Leah get the time to tell them about Nora, how did Rachel's hand heal in that enviroment or did they get pulled right afterwards, why did Dot get so much food when others didn't.. like so many questions and they just added other ones and other ones by Shelby's attack or whatever that was and the boys' thing. That seems kinda dissapointing to me.

I was expecting a sort of riverdale style, with the whole "omg being on a deserted island it's nothing, being a teenager is the real nightmare" but in the end I really really enjoyed it and I can't wait for season 2! I have so many questions

Easter egg!!! Episode 9 on the evidence box Young goes through, the label says DATE: January 10th. LOCATION: Island. Then on episode 10 (day 22 on the island) Nora says it’s June 29th. Wtf??!! They spent 7 months on the island!!!???? I can’t.

Gretchen is an empathetic villan, I hope she gets what she deserves in the second season.

one thing that this video got wrong was that martha wasn’t interviewed either. i believe martha is in fact dead and we will see how in season 2, and nora simply wasn’t interviewed because was in contact with them throughout their time on the island, therefor reported back constantly. the fact that martha doesn’t have an interview is more worrying than nora not having one. equally, rachel says that noras life is in the detectives hands - she believes the detectives are good people with the intent of saving them, and thinks nora will face consequences for being apart of the experiment.

It's strange that Rachel's wrist is fully healed. Doesn't make sense with other timing cues like the still healing sunburns.

Dot is able to walk around the facility and ordered the sushi so maybe she slipped it under Shelby’s door somehow?

I had to binge watch several episodes at a time because the suspense was killing me and kept me from sleeping. The first half episodes are best. But I hope there is a season 2.

Gretchen doesn’t have a “hatred for men” or think think that women are “superior” smh she clarified that in ep 7 lol Also: Quinn and Nora weren’t boyfriend and girlfriend, and Rachel’s ed wasn’t a result of “societal pressure to look a certain way;” it relates to her struggle with perfectionism.

If season 2 is focused on men I'll be disappointed

Two incorrect facts in this video: 1) Leah was not on alcohol and edibles when she found Nora. She was on the pills they gave her (I think it was ambien?) 2) Nora isn't the only person besides Jeanette that wasn't interviewed. Martha was also not interviewed and is presumably dead? Surprised you didn't talk about that at all.

I actually loved this show so much. Anyone whos getting bored with episode one, please push on! from episode one and on its actually become one of my favorites shows ever!

I think Nora is not dead, Rachel doesn't lose her hand in the shark attack, and Shelby, Leah and Dot discover the experimental study. Dot gives Shelby seafood to give her all the attention, meanwhile Leah discovers more about the study ps: i believe in shoni supremacy

was there anyone who wasn't shocked it was nora bc i feel like this was one of the best executed "mole" reveals ive ever seen. did not suspect nora AT ALL and even though i saw that Dot and Shelbald were interviewed, it still seemed like it was one of them...

Could the boys being used in Twilight of Adam be the various male counterparts to all the main characters. That would include Leah's best friend, Gretchen's son, Dot's love interest, and hey toss in pedophile author in there too. Early in the season, Gretchen pulls up a dossier of Leah's best friend, so she has the info on the people related to her subjects already.

Also the fact they have a female experiment group (Eve) and a male experiment group (The Dawn of Adam) is giving me Orphan Black vibes.

why is no one talking about shelby being shaved off ?

the reason for toni having a hard time letting people in is not just because she was left by regan but because toni's been left by people her whole life. her mom is a drug addict remaining in and out of her rehab, and her dad abandoned her as a smol kid. being constantly failed by their family, nonetheless in the foster system, but also their love it would be fair to want to push everyone away. she's also very aware about her anger issues and i think that's partly the reason behind the quote "when you're alone you can only hur yourself, i call that safer". by not letting people in they can't hur you and you can't hur them as well.

i really really hope this amazing show doesnt get cancelled like the SOCIETY. Ill forever hold a grudge againt netflix for that.

dude, you need to get your theories straight and stronger. this girl's theories from TikTok, makes more sense and is pretty much solid. like for one: Dot asked for a specific type of sushi that Fatin once bought up, which you'll see she eats, after that Shelby is seen in an interview and she wipes her fake teeth which you will see has particles of sushi in it, keep in mind Dot was emphasized to be a drug dealer that can sneak things really well, also the reason why Shelby knew that Leah was "Right" wasn't because Dean Young was helping them it's because when Shelby asked to see "her" and didn't specifically give a name, Dean Young automatically jumped an said "you're talking about Toni, right" which could lead her to believe that they knew what their relationship was especially when she knew non of the girls could've possibly mentioned it....possibly because they were watching them. YOU NEED TO PICK UP YOUR PACE, MEN p.s you should've pointed out how Jannete's phone was with her since she was "shutting the world out" when the plane was crashing and then it magically ends up in her suitcase

I know the show seems like one of those cringey "woke" shows, but its actually not. In fact, the fun part of it is that the show allows us to critic the woman behind it all with one of the girls on the island. I also think the woman is lying about the real reason why she's doing all this to the girls and SPOILER ALERT boys. I want a season 2 to solely focus on the girls overthrowing the woman who caused this all in the first place because I'm sure they are mad at her as well for her stupid "wokeness" or so called reasons of why she traumatized them (EDIT: the creators said they won't be focusing on the boys in the island in season 2 so that's good). I want them to show her how sick and twisted she is if the real reason behind this is just to prove a failing point. EDIT: Plus, the actual girls' stories and dynamic with each other and how each character develops in the show are a bit more entertaining to watch than the subplot with the woman and her bs. So if anything, ppl should watch it for those reasons bc the show is far from (white) feminist crap and wokeness. EDIT 2: SEASON 2 HAS BEEN CONFIRMED 🎉🎉

At first I thought each one of the girls represented one of the seven deadly sins + 1 double agent. Great show!

I want know what happens once Leah reveals what Nora did to her and how the group dynamic changes once something fishy is revealed

I think Nora did actually get exposed because when Rachel was being interviewed and they asked about her sister, they ask about if she resents her (or something like that, I'm not exactly sure on the exact wording) but she says something about how even though the others might hate her sister, she doesn't.

I#m still wondering who send Leah's birth certificate to her boyfriend. My theory is that is was actually her parents as they didn't really blackmail him. They just wanted it to end.

I don’t want Nora to die but I think that she might actually be dead though. In the beginning of episode two, you see Rachel put on shoes that have holes in them and then a few minutes later in the same episode you can see Nora wearing those same shoes on the island. So those shoes was probably one of the last things that was left from Nora. So she is either dead or no one knows where she is. Because it doesn’t make sense to keep shoes that were your sisters if she is still alive and around. It would only make sense if she were dead or missing, just saying.

When Audrey asks Gretchen are you on your way up top... does anyone else think that there still on the same island just as underground in a massive bunker as no windows only one little court yard which is hidden under tress

I honestly hate that this show ended with no vindication. I hope its not going to be a second season of drawn out clues and no real answers. Also if Martha is actually dead I will be passed, I really liked her character. Also with Martha it really confused me because I thought she died after the dehydration incident

I think Nora goes missing. In Rachel episode she asked the agents if her parents know about Nora and they say something like the basics which is about the same we know so far. Then Rachel goes on talking about their birth and she says “no I don’t want to talk about what happened to her, but I want to tell you our story.” At the end of the episode the agents ask how does your story ends and she answers “it’s up to you” which leads me to believe Nora went missing (maybe Gretchen extracted her from the island before the girls because of what Leah knew or because she became a problem for Gretchen) but it would make sense with the answer Rachel gave them, up to you. Like is up to them to find her. Marty unfortunately I think is dead, covered in goat blood in the last episode if she went in the water when the shark attack happened I think that’s it for Marty. Plus right before the shark happened, she was talking with dot about killing the goat, and dot tells her maybe he was ready to go, maybe he wanted you to live, for you to make something important with your life instead of wasting it (something like that, also dot was talking about killing her father right there, in case someone didn’t catch that) to me all that feels like foreshadowing which happens a lot in the show, fatin with the pills saying we better be out of here by day 21, I do not want to be here on my period. Then shark season for Rachel and the next thing we know Rachel y on her period and the shark is attacking her. So maybe Marty tried to help Nora with Rachel to do “something important” (I’m not saying that’s her motive) and ended up giving her life to save the twins. To me if Nora were to die saving Rachel would be a bit ironic, she lived all her life saving her. And it would be amazing to see Rachel even if injured help save her sister instead of whatever other think she deems more important for once. It would bring her character arc to an amazing point. With Marty because they are searching for something as leverage so her parents can’t sue Gretchen I think means sadly that she died

in episode 6, when the girls got sick, martha closes her eyes and I could swear she had died, soon after daniel even talks to leah "then you wouldn't be carrying around this guilt" but martha just shows up alive afterwards without any explanation. and then he still says for gretchen that leah will feel guilty, but from what ?

I find that the second person in the know about the project was super well hidden because until the moment we discovered her I didn't know who it was, I think that Nora was really the one we paid the least attention to, we were not suspicious of her because she is shy and since there is her sister we really focused on their relartion and or would not suspect that it could be her with her character, she is the most erased of the group , the only one who never had anger in the end, who does not attract attention, on this blow well played to the directors

The girls weren't rescued right after the shark attack. They stayed on the island much longer after that (stuff for season 2). And I don't believe Nora is dead, just because she wasn't interviewed in the flash forwards. It is never actually confirmed. Also Nora is definitely my favorite character on the show. She's really quiet and caring, but can do a complete 180 when she needs it most. And I like the entire group as a whole :)

I absolutely INVESTED! I wish they gave a little bit more in the first season, like where/what happened to Nora (mostly). And is Martha alive? Over all I LOVED it and can’t wait till season 2, hope it not a long wait.

I would love to know how all their parents find out about this 'special' retreat. I mean, it's super secret so it's not meant to be googled, right? And how did the other parents decide to knowingly put their daughters in such a dangerous situtation? Marthas mom seemed so nice and caring, i cant imagine her saying 'yea, lets put my emotionally and sexually abused daughter on an island where she might die!' o.o

Wow, this is a very good and thorough analysis. I'm impressed by the work that must have went into this. You brought up points I hadn't even thought about before like the picking of the forbidden fruit for example. However, I think the interviews conducted by the alleged agents must be set a lot further in the future and not only three days after they had been picked up because Rachel's stump has already healed fully. I doubt they were able to achieve that on the island all by themselves and such a wound does take a lot of time and the proper supplies to heal like that...

I see a lot o f people talking about shelbys hair and i thought my thoughts were pretty obviously shared but i guess not, so here’s what i think my thoughts were shes bald because they probably shaved her head when she got there. they shaved all of her hair off because it was so tangled and matted by the time they were taken off the island. her hair is brought up several times in the epsiodes, usually because the other girls are making fun of it because it’s such as mess. it couldn’t be saved lmao there’s no way that could be combed or straightened

Rachel's eating disorder wasn't from a patriarchal beauty standard, but of the physical demands of a sport where only the most petite thrive. This show was such a pleasant surprise and I would have loved to have had it just be a legit plane crash and see these great characters work together to survive. The whole experiment business pulled me out every single time. It's Bond villain levels of sociopathy. If Gretchen has had a psychotic break, fine...but she's getting A LOT of help from people who are totally cool with torturing children as a means to demonstrate the theory of Gynotopia..?!? I worry that, like Lost, season 2 is going to get away from the on island stories that made it great and focus more of the ridiculous conspiracy that brought them all together.

Nora died... in the episode that rachel appears without a hand, she’s talking about nora like if she had died... and in the last episode nora runs to save rachel from the shark

Didn't expect the show to be this good, excited for season 2. Pretty obvious ending tho, Adam and Eve, first a group of women stranded, afterwards a group of men. Waiting for so many great TV shows to continue..

I'm still confused about something...Since the plane didn't actually crash, how was Martha wounded on her foot in the beginning? And she also didn't get an interview, could she also be an agent of Gretchen? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if they were all agents except for Leah.

at one point when he was talking about interviews he said nora and Janette were the only ones not interviewed but martha wasn’t interviewed either. we found out her story through noras journal so something might have happened to martha too

I think at some point Gretchen realized that her project "dawn of eve" is a failure, but she was convinced that it was a less failure than when boys would be the persons who were stranded. So she begged for more money to start another project, just with boys to try proving that the boys project will lead to an even bigger failure, just to point out that leadership with women is better than with men.

Such a great show. Loved the way woman characters were written. With depth, strengths and weaknesses, layers, body types etc. Finally a show that gets it. (Another one was OITNB). Can't wait for season 2

Have you noticed the Russian nautical clock on a wall in Leah's confinement room in episode 10?

Love that in an experiment to prove how much better things would be if women were in charge something goes horribly wrong in practically every single episode.
