We travel to Damascus Virginia where we rented bikes and were shuttled up a mountain to Whitecap Station . From there we have a 17 mile downhill bike ride through the most beautiful country along a river. The Virginia Creeper Trail is a 35 mile multi-purpose rail trail. Located in southwestern Virginia, the trail runs from Abingdon to Whitecap Virginia. near Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and the North Carolina state line. The boys rode ahead of us because we were going a bit slow to look at everything , but we had a great ride and a lot of fun. It's a beautiful experience.
