Love to get a hand on the multitracks and bring in some life into the mix here... good quality recording but the mix... oh sh!t... distroyed a fantastic performance.
@@cehdmoy Don't these world-class musicians deserve a mutitrack recorder? I'm not a professional livensound engineer but I always record mutitrack and mix everything after the show for uploads.
Yeah, this mix is horrible. Anybody who says otherwise doesn’t know a damn thing about recording live sound. I’ve heard bar bands with better sound than this mess... vocals are absolutely buried.
And add to that catchy songs with depth and meaning and something my girlfriend my mom and dad and my co workers can listen too and say wow what a cool band! Something Dream theatre could NEVER do.....I'm sure those guys aren't losing ANY sleep about my comment.....lol

I can hear the balance and clarity of the entire drum kit,the bass is even through the entire range of the instrument and Richie is just amazing.I bet all I own the FOH is outstanding!
Funny! I was just thinking “what a crap mix!” I get OCD bad when the bass player’s backing is louder and clearer than the lead singer. Don’t get me started on the rest of it.
Se a seleção de 70 fosse uma banda, seria o The Winery Dogs! Os 3 são camisas 10 em qualquer banda - virtuoses em seus instrumentos, cantam e curtem o que fazem, é nítido que se divertem.
Thanks for the great love and support you show me as a special fan of mine, I hope you won't stop listening to music, and thanks for your sincere Compliment and love towards my music 🙏
Amen to that. Songs should showcase more of Richie's talent instead of Billy trying to be Eddie Van Halen on the bass.....AND I"M A BASS PLAYER. He needs to tone it down a bit.
I have a board mix of a King's X show at a small venue a few years ago and it's much better than this. They should have been able to do better, but they probably just weren't planning on doing anything with it. The bluray they released of this tour is much better.
Such a trip seeing MP in a band like this. Raw rock and roll with mega hooks. Maybe a step out of time in how the world is spinning, but what gets me giddy is that these dudes are enjoying it to the fullest. Pulling out all of the stops. A little dinner, a little dancing and then bang. Dead on. We hit the city.
i had no idea till today this video existed, and to those who cant understand or hear richie, its a freekin concert not the dvd, if you know the songs you know the words
@@MrAlan8r Cause is table sound direct mix. In 2002, Rush Show Vapour Trails Tour, in the Maracanã Stadium, the first 30 seconds of the first sound initiate and nothing of sound, the technicians solved and everything was normal. In the LIVE DVD we cannot perceive, this is similar the.
Amazing power trio! Damn, so good. Too bad the lead vocals are way down in the mix....I think this is just a camera over the air recording... what a great show though. thanks for posting, Sony Hall.
I hope they have the multitrack mix for this. Would be great to be properly mixed and released. Especially since there are no covi-19 concerts. Oddly the backup vocals are louder than the lead vocals.
Considering the release date, it was never supposed to be released because of the audio mix. But with the lockdown... Still, great performance by the one the best bands of 2010s.
@@OscarCastrodigital Wish it was true... but probably if they had it, it would have been released with a better mix. Looks like someone's stereo mix recorded for any other purpose that was not to broadcast.
I am a lifelong musician, a bass player.... you can listen to my band on youtube "Crucible Tall Tales". I just bought a car with spodify.... and just heard about these guys 6 months ago. They've been around since 2012! I feel so stupid!!!!!!!
I don't think many people know how good this guy is on guitar. He was signed by Mike Varney in 1988 to Shrapnel Records who had the best shredders on the planet. Yngwie Malmsteen,, Marty Friedman, Jason Becker, Vinnie Moore, and Greg Howe to name a few.
Man, Billy told me he was studying Paganini when we were going to Kenmore East High School. He was playing with Talas with Dave Constantino back then. Talk about virtuosity. The thing about Billy is he worked his ass off to carve his own path, I think you'll agree with me that it's quite obvious, yes? @BillySheehan was probably the best musician to come out of Kenmore East. There were many more, myself included, I played pro for 17 years as a singer and guitarist 🎸
Richie Kotzen, always knew you were an amazing guitar player, but in the last few years, I've discovered that your vocals are unreal. Did Chris Cornell bequeath his throat to you?
Hey, Sony Hall's guys! Please... can you upload another vid with a BETTER mix? Putting special focus on Richie, Billy and Mike voices! Thx 4 share it this... this... this... unmixed version! :D
I like very much this HARTKE equipment of Billy... Only 15 inch speakers - usually preferring the low ends - but Billy has adjusted his HARTKE AMPS in the high mid range - phenomenous sound!!!
Agree Walter.....he has manipulated those cabs and his bi-amping just like Chris Squire did..... 40 years ago. I would love your opinion on this show. Does he have a tendency to overplay a bit? After 2 hours of all of his licks and dated 80's "look at me I'm Eddie Van Halen on Bass" I think he's too aggressive for the band. but then again....just look at all the gaps he fills in. Geezer butler could never do that..... Oh and BTW I spent 40years of my life playing bass and I currently pay my mortgage by selling people solar panels to put on their house. Maybe i should just keep my opinions to myself......eating humble pie now.....
I have to agree i like experimental drum kits, but i will never change a 14’ snare for a 12’ or a 22’ bass drum or something bigger for a 20’.. Big drums always have great sound.
Bass sounds great. For a trio, it's gotta be up there. But where is Ritchie's vocal track? Drums are as muted. The concert in Japan was great except for the amount of vocal overdubs.
Are you kidding? The Japan concert is an official release, this one is not...do you think they would agree on releasing something of this quality? LOL.
That's not the fault of the mix. Billy plays Hartke heads and if you look at his eq settings on each head, he is scooping the bass and treble and boosting the mids. That with the overdrive he uses gives you the not so deep sound you're hearing. I do the exact opposite of his eq where I'm boosting my the bass and treble frequencies and leaving the mids almost flat if not slightly scooped. Check out the Premier Guitar Rig Rundown video of his and you'll see what I mean.
He’s got 2 fly rigs on it actually! 2 of the new ones each with different options selected so he doesn’t have to bend down & switch between reverb options, delay/rotary speaker effects, overdrive/fuzz pedals, & boost/compressor
i really like this vibe.they arent look drug addictive.with nice rock energy:) but something wrong with voice loudness and instruments sounds louder than earlier.thats a little tricking
I love this band !! this is a stellar group of musicians, all at the top of her game! And I love Richie Kotzen’s guitar playing and his voice. Unfortunately, in this mix, his voice is not coming through at all! What a shame.
How Godlike must Ritchie Kotzen be to outshine Mike Portnoy and Billy Sheehan live on stage singing like a bird and playing the sickest lead guitar like he can do it in his sleep, and without a pick and no gain or FX. Thats the most naked guitar tone I ever heard yet he still shreds on it like he's playing on 11. For a laugh check him out at 1:20:20
I see Portnoy's awful voice is wrecking live performances now just as well as it was during the Train of Thought and Constant Motion DT era. What a talent.
