The more playthroughs I watch for this season the more I realize that they make it really hard for people to choose Louis. They make it seem like violet is going to keep up with the school’s defenses and Louis is going to tune a piano when in reality violet and Clem just go stargazing. Idk if anyone else agrees but I find it that if u see through all the walls the game try’s to create when trying to like Louis’s character, he’s a much more layered and relatable character than most.

Ok, I've just begun and I just want to say that I am 100% behind you in telling AJ that he was wrong. I've seen many playthroughs where people sugarcoat it to AJ

Ok so imagine the game ending here and never being resolved. Well that’s what everyone thought would happen when TellTale shut down. Luckily Skybound allowed a small team from TellTale to finish the remaining episodes. That team was Dubbed the not yet bitten team. Pretty interesting history of the game.

You missed a cool easter egg during the bell tower scene with Vi. If you look around the stars there's a small mustache that you can connect dot to dot and will reveal a Kenny easter egg.

The thing with James is the “the whispers” group he was from was from the comics and show and if anyone has read or seen the show the whispers were a ruthless group especially the main leaders Alpha and Beta 😭😭

If memory serves me right, Marlon does regardless of your choice in episode 1. Some events/deaths are preconfigured to happen no matter what to drive the story along a certain path. Though your decisions definitely make an impact along the way

lilly was actually a character who showed up in the comics but after this game started development they made telltale lilly a separate character from lilly in the comics. it's really weird because their characters still look identical to eachother

Regarding the black shadows - the previous seasons got them added with The Definitive Series, which is why you're able to toggle them off. Season 4 was created with them originally, so there's no version of the game without those shadows.

telltale went bankrupt and got shut down so skybound purchased the walking dead and finished the last 2 ep. telltale is just getting back on its feet and is going to release new games soon like the wolf among us 2

Even as a dude I'm a candle person as well. All my friends make fun of me but they're amazing if you think about it. They give you cool soft lighting. They give off a little bit of warmth and they make the room smell great. Like literally what's not to love about them... Lol.

I'm surprised by all the Violet hate in the comments declaring Louis to be better and that she's overrated. Can't people like both characters? Like dam. Also, saying one is better than the other is very subjective. I personally like them pretty much equally and would say they both have their strong suits. Edit: Weird, I felt pretty connected to these kids by now. Idk could be a me thing. I also felt the writing this season is pretty good. I'd say its probably my favorite season with season 1

The company Telltale Games was insolvent, which is why there was "only" one episode after that. Planned were 5 and the fourth episode was a well thought out final episode...okay, you will see/play and experience it :)

imo this season is the best season of the game. the first half of the season (EP 1 & 2) is just an introduction to the season, you get to know the characters, understand what is going on, but the second half is where the real story begins. It gets way better in the next two episodes :)

Edit: Yeah, the "Collectible" part of this season was unimpressive and I guess it was added to get you to explore a bit more... but still felt kinda meh.

Louis has every right to be mad at what AJ did, especially since AJ doesn't fully understand certain morally gray concepts all while owning a weapon that can kill people. While Violet may seem nicer, it's just because she never liked Marlon and had a crush on Minnie, so she's more biased toward supporting Clem and AJ's actions. So it's unfair to be harsh on Louis who just lost his best friend before the group even had a chance to ask Marlon any questions about what really happened. In a zombie apocalypse, everyone has their own self-preservation to worry about, not just the main characters. Even though Marlon saved Clem and AJ, they're still new and the group doesn't fully know if they're crazy or unpredictable like other outside survivors. Personally, if I was living in peace in a safe community and suddenly a new family came in with a literal 5-year-old wielding a gun, I wouldn't feel safe; esp if that kid ends up killing someone without asking or thinking. The group had every right to throw them out bc they can't predict AJ's actions, which might threaten their survival.

I don’t know if it’s just me being a straight man, but I would’ve loved to see Clementine and Louis get together. I feel like Lewis is more structured. And more of a relatable character kind of like a stand-up guy.

Fun fact: when you’re looking at the stars with Violet, there’s a hidden Easter egg. While connecting the stars to make certain shapes, there’s a hidden option to create the shape of Kenny’s mustache. If you do this, Kenny’s face will appear to smile and wink down at Clementine. After his face fades away, the words “He will remember that” are shown. If you haven’t already, I absolutely recommend looking that up. It will melt your heart.

Being the person who adopts people as family, and becomes self-sacrificingly overprotective of them, I do connect with some of these characters more than you do. These kind of games, when built well, become a psychoanalysis of your inner mind. But they have to be immersive enough to make you, not forget, but overlook "it's a game" As soon as Violet asked about hanging out... I immediately said, "She's going to hit on you"

I like how she didn’t romance like other people did, I mean don’t get me wrong I found the choosing Louis and Violet thing cool, but it’s nice to see something different for once.

I haven’t actually watched this properly yet but in case you were mad at Louis earlier in this episode, a note to anyone, Louis’s reaction was justified. AJ killed his best friend, someone he had grown up with, i think anyone would be very upset if that happened. It kinda sucks how the game makes Violet a lot more favourable than Louis for this reason but i have my own reasons for not liking Violet. I Rank the seasons in order - in all fairness to season 4 - telltale went bankrupt during season 4 and it looked like that we wouldn't get a finished season - skybound entertainment finished the season so we at least got an ending - I don't remember if Any of the developers from Telltale was hired by skybound entertainment to help. But I think that can explain if you think something is off in this season - I'm glad we got an ending though.

For what it's worth, you don't need to apologise for pausing to talk about your thoughts. Hearing the thoughts behind why decisions were made is what makes the playthrough fun; as opposed to a no-commentary letsplay, where I have no idea why the player made the choices they did

We should’ve gotten the pictures that were in season 2 and 3 even faded and tore up maybe and there should’ve been stuff we could’ve maybe added to Clems backpack in previous seasons

I noticed how much u think when u play its so fun to watch your thought process I was playing it so 🤷🏿 idk... with my brain on auto pilot compared to you

there were only 4 episodes because at the time Season 4 was made, Telltale was having finance issues and they were planning on closing down. In fact that was a big issue where TWD was concerned because when people bought Season 4 they got this pre-order pack that basically said "you get all episodes as they come out" so it more or less guranteed Telltale had to give their customers the entire Season. but then Telltale ran into money trouble and couldn't finish it...and they were taken to court for quote un-quote "attempting to fraud their customers" so Telltale had to find anoither company that would finish Season 4 for them. due to that they only had a shorter Season.

Since you got the definitive edition you can replay season 1 and check clems house the easter egg is disco broccoli in her draw and when lee is in the car with the police you see clems kidnapper in a car if you go back to season one. Also in season 2 clem is with the dog and she checks the box and she grabbed the broccoli and says "nothing editable" In season 4 if you go with violet's path you can find Kenny in the sky and it says "He will remember that."

So interesting to see how you’re not feeling this season as much. My personal rankings for the games are 1. Season 1 2. The Final Season 3. New Frontier 4. Season 2 The main reason season 2 is so low for me is because of how they changed the storyline midway through from Luke v Kenny to Jane v Kenny, which I genuinely hated. There’s also the fact that as far as I’ve seen, the characters from 400 days were supposed to be the shootout group in the woods but ended up being the random Russians. That dlc group was supposed to have a much heavier story within season 2 unlike their cameos they actually got. I also just think the story was so lackluster I just couldn’t deal with it. And watching your play through of season two, I realized I only really liked Luke and Kenny’s characters (and obviously clems.) but yeah. Idk why I started rambling. I hope you have a good day. Edit: Louis is an A tier character within the games and it pains me seeing so many ppl choose violet (I don’t really like violet)😭

I'm really enjoying this season tbh. I think one of the reasons others might not is because it has a much bigger cast than season 3 and honestly kind of season 2, but instead of over-exposing some characters and neglecting others, it's a bit more even with who gets screentime. Obviously AJ, Marlon, Louis and Vi get center stage, the less prominent characters still get lines and relationships, which causes the inverse problem where liking them inevitably because a slower burn to grow on you. If that makes sense. Regardless, I like the slower, more atmospheric nature of this season. Season 2 had a problem where I felt like things just happened to force the plot along and season 3 was more like an action movie, but this season, it's slow, quiet, thoughtful. I like that a lot.
