the name could also reference the scorpion and the frog/the farmer and the viper. in both stories, the frog/farmer helps the scorpion/viper in a time of need, despite their better judgment, only to be betrayed and killed, ending with a remark that they should have known better.
The black cat didn't die. He was a demon that possessed it's body. That's why you see a bunch of jute bags filled with dead cats at one point in the game. The demon uses those cats.
@@H0SANNA That still means that the actual black cat died though? Actually, lots and lots of cats died because of the demon (jute bags). It's not the actual cat(s) that are demons... The demon just uses their bodies as a vessel until he has to change to a new cat. Once a cat is possessed by the demon it would already be dead pretty much.
*SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* I wonder if the frog liked the witch, showing the heart upon meeting and following her, (which is currently the Viola character you are playing at the time) because frogs have been associated with witches many times. Makes you think o.o
I remember this game came out in my freshman year of high school, when I would've been fourteen or fifteen. At the time I graduated, I wanted to be exceptionally wealthy and have a mansion built from scratch one day. This used to be one of my songs I'd come back to again and again to listen to whenever I'd think about how I wanted the house to look. It was this and "Dining Room" from Ib. Just picturing in my mind this beautiful and luxurious home, having everything a person could want, and enjoying it all to no end. A lot of time has passed since then, and I've lost a lot of the interest I had in material possessions. Nowadays I look at mansions and other luxurious homes and wonder how much of the space actually gets used on a regular basis. But, nonetheless, it's still nice to revisit these old pieces. Brings back a lot of good memories, both of the game itself and the ambitions I used to have.
this game a masterpeice, the story is amazing, characters you can become close freinds with and a good horror eliment. i just wish things could have ended better...
REDEMPTION STORY CMON NEW MC GOES TO AVENGE VIOLA AND VICTIMS THROUGH THE HELP OF ANOTHER DEMOOOOOON COME ON COME ON COME ON- sadly we all know it wont happen :( still though would be cool if like a little boy was manipulated by a demon to feel the pain viola and all the other victims felt at the hand of ellen and then was given magic to go hunt ellen down while she's living her "loved and loving life" possibly idk maybe a white cat or the crow demon this time? ;p
@@720polyshot8 Sadly Ellen is likely deceased as well. Either Viola's father noticed her, and killed her. As pretending to be Voila for so long, even with her memories as back up. Is nearly impossible. Or, Ellen killed Viola's father due to a fear of being found out. And due to I beleive Viola's father living in a rural area due to being a hunter. Ellen likely has starved to death, Succombed to the elements trying to get to civilization, Or was killed at the hands of Viola's father. All, While realizing, Her attempts where only fruitfull for a while, And apologizing to her dear friend Viola. For the waste of her life. See i dont blame Ellen for any of her actions, She was acting out of a pure survival instinct, and the cat took advantage of her for that. I do not beleive she felt an hatred toward Viola either, and Viola was her friend, Ellen weighed her options, Kill her friend, and continue to live. Or die, in her bed, a bloody, sick, mess. Anyone would have chose the former. Ellens little celebration at the end of the game may be an outlier, as she was finally done with Viola's attempts to subdue her. And within an extreme high of narrowly making it out of it alive, and with new hopes for a life unbound by her own accursed body, she giggled, and smiled. I just hope she got to experiance the smell of flowers the wonders of exploring, and some good food. Before she either starved, or this time, was the one looking down the barrel of a shotgun. It is my belief that The Witch's House is not a tale of a victim, and a killer. It is a tale of two victims, forced against one another, by a mastermind in the shadows.
I wish you could shove that fucking cat through the slot and feed it to the snake. Not only is the cat worth more meat, but the frog can keep helping the protagonist.
Witches house was my childhood. Watching youtubers play it like coryxkenshin and markiplier. It was a good time for me. As i grew up overtime. I realize that the game has a dark theme that my dumb little self didnt learn since I was more focused on reactions of players and the gameplay itself. The older I grew the more and more I realize how unnerving this game is. Such a beautiful game with such a great story. So much tragedy and when I played the witches house MV version It helped show how viola had more power then originally thought. The fact there isnt a good ending techinally in this game is kinda disheartening. But its still so good Music Vibe Characters Connections Scares Lore And so much more. Im glad I was here to have these memories with me. And now i will cherish them for all time... ❤
Theres a secret of how to get to the room in the hallway you have to ignore everything. As soon as you enter the room, go left immediately and follow the hallway down on the side. When you enter the area you shouldn't dieThe room has many items to interact with that you CANNOT miss. Hope I helped. i'll post a video of me doing this in the near future. :)
It is true. I've done it before. As soon as you enter the long hallway, immediatley go left then start to go down the hallway. THIS IS THE HALLWAY WHERE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO GO STRAIGHT AND IGNORE EVERYTHING

I know! I feel sorry for her but at the same time I HATE HER for making Fiona's father kill his daughter. It was so unfair that she was able to keep on living while the girl who gave her own life to save her wasn't able to!

Why couldn't you have the option to sacrifice the black cat instead of the frog? The black cat is evil and the frog didn't do anything wrong! Plus the cat would've been a bigger meal for the snake anyway. -_-
