Aid Saskia or kill Henselt, you'll in truth serve the Emperor of Nilfgaard, enemy of the north. As for morals, Henselt may be a villain to us but he's also a hero to Kaedwen. In this case, good and evil depends on where you stand, and on which side.
A valid point, but is there any reason we (as Geralt) should feel any sort of fealty for the North, when the monarchs have done nothing but use him for their own self-interest. As the saying goes: why should we trade one tyrant thousands of miles away (Nilfgaard) for a thousand tyrants one mile away (all the Northern Monarchs)?
Notice the 'with'. Henselt works for no one but himself and Kaedwen. Just because he worked with someone doesn't necessarily mean that he cares for them :P He merely considered Nilfgaard a tool. He's not stupid enough not to know that the Emperor would share power with no one, and that Kaedwen would become a vassal kingdom (AT BEST) should Nilfgaard be victorious. :)
He promised royal reward and clearance of Geralt's name for lifting battlefield curse. Didn't keep his word, did he? Tried to murder Geralt who saved his life for Roche's crime against him, didn't he? Wonder what he would say should Letho stand in front of him.
well geralt talks a lot to the main conspirator roche and then they stalk henselt and kill his soliders. what did you expect? it is roche who turns henselt agains geralt.
This doesn't aid the king slayers in anyway shape or form and Letho mentions this clearly towards the end of the game. When he said what he said about Ves I was dead set on killing him but I remembered what Geralt said earlier, "Killing the commander of a forgotten trading post is not the same as killing a king, even if both are murderers and rapists." Henselts men now live better lives cause he remains a ruthless son of a b**ch so they will see this as murder and I could never answer to that.
i chose to save Roche in chapter 1 ...now if i went to save iroverth he says u betrayed me so i dnt need u ....now i dont hav a choice but to go with roche....does dis change the whole storyline....some 1 help me!
@SilentPhenomed Doubt Kaedween will be gone due to old age cause he would get imense power due to it's leading status in the war against Nilfgaard , plus united Temeria and Redania plus maybe Aedirn stand a very good chance against Nilfgaardian forces .They had shown their power united even without the leading forcer of Keadween in the battle of Brenna .Kaedween does not resemble the whole North.
You know whats funny? While I like Saskia and Ioverth a lot. And think they have the best motives. But, I think king Henselt has the best chance to keep Nilfgaard, at bay.
@SilentPhenomed Well anyway i doubt Saskia or Redanian king would follow Henselt he is just as evil and as greedy as the Nilfgaard, in fact i expect him in cooperating with them.United Redania - Temeria and Aedirn stand a chance with the help of the witcher of course who can do some dirty work for them .And temeria may be without king but it have John Natalis veteran from Brenna and true warrior a man who can inspire the other soldiers.
I had no problem killing him, remember Geralt is not concerned with politics if you look at his charecter he just wants his memory back, chase the wild hunt kill the four wraith horsemen and save yennefer. He doesn't give a shit what the outside world does that is something witchers need to stay out of
