I was going to say, I'm glad it was a skit because having someone on the couch behind you heckling during your speedrun would be the absolute worst

This guy single handedly created the No major Glitches category and I won't be convinced otherwise

the fact this was done without abusing glitches is pretty special.

I know I'm late on this but you should watch BBGN's video "Let's Talk About Mirror's Edge Glitchless" and you'll understand the comedy of the situation. Basically those two are actually good friends and speedrunners of the game, and one thing about the "glitchless" category is that it was never intended to be "truly glitchless." Glitchless was just the best name the community could come up with for the route. It was meant to be an "easier" speedrun for people new to the game. This all ties into how Mirror's Edge came to even be a game at all. When DICE created a new physics engine, they coded a parkour simulator pretty quickly to show it off. The heads at EA liked it so much they basically forced them to make a full game out of it but with a very short deadline. This is why the "story" of the game is so one-dimensional, why there's an extremely limited soundtrack, and why there are so many bugs in the game. If you play the game purely as the devs meant you to, it works mostly fine 99% of the time. If you get even a little creative though or try to go even a little bit faster than intended you very quickly unearth a heaping pile of spaghetti code that was very obviously rushed. That's why it's so arbitrary what is or isn't considered a glitch. You could be a good little submissive gamer playing the game exactly as the devs intended and still run into glitches completely by accident. Not a very good speedrun if you have to reset because you inadvertently hit a frame perfect jump after a vaulting animation which gives you a speed boost.

these guys are actually really good friends, the reason he kept heckling him was because they were trying to show the hypocrisy of the "glitchless" catagory and how arbitrary the rules are for what constitutes "glitchless"
