There is so much lore to explore in the Witcher, not really sure going in the direction of the Ronin is the right way. I was expecting more of the Witcher from A.S.
I followed the start of the campaign with great interest, but the more you show the less it appeals to me. Great quality and presentation, yet more style than substance to my taste.
This seems too similar to normal Path of Destiny to justify owning both base games. But IMO a monster-hunting adventure game (kinda Old World vibe, but something new) set in japanese folklore would be so cool. Demon slayers protecting people and their villages from all the yōkai like yuki-onna, bakeneko, umi-bozu, nue,... I'd buy that! 😃
At this point just do a crowdfunding for a miniature collection and another one for a board game... I've read tons of comments on gamefound since day one and i saw absolutely nobody asking for someting like this And the pricing is just... wtf 60 + vat ??? To me a standalone expansion as to be a different gameplay experience in the same universe, not an almost exactly gameplay feeling in a weirdo different universe (recent good example, the standalone expansion of Sleeping Gods distant skies) I don't understand where are you going with this
We want 'Go on board' to expand The Witcher universe uniquely, not this or same 'The Wild hunt' expansion again, Witcher has such a rich lore to take from, do some add on regarding Nilfgaardian empire for instance!.
Please release some gameplay to the add ons so people can have a look and maybe have an easier time deciding if they wang them or not. Stuff isnt final and it takes a lot of time but i think it mighg be beneficial
Big risk to develop it. And a big fail in my opinion. So much time waisted which you could have put in the real Witcher world. I also recommend a better speaker for videos who is also skilled in video editing.
Do not say that you're listening to backers anymore, because there are a lot of good ideas in comments on gamefound campaign, but you are not realizing them and now you bring this... Almost the same game in the new visual. You could go with it to separate campaign or just sell it in retail, but not here! Path of Destiny is really nice and it has very big potentional to add there new ideas and explore more from witcher world. So please, really start to listening to the backers from now on or this campaign can be dissaster for you in future campaigns
For me it is obvious that everything was already planned pre-crowdfound... So I dont expect something "new" from backers to be taken into account... It is sad
Please tell me you didn’t cut off the storytelling in a such highly thematic expansion. Please tell me there is a narrative part during the game and you are not just selling a pack of themed miniatures. Narrative part was the heart of the entire “path of destiny”. Please.
Not happy, instead of an expansion of what I bought you put out a different game. Instead of giving sense of an expansion that is too poor (40$ for what you give is like.. nah) you give me a different game, maybe cool, but a different game. You have a incredible amount of lore in the Witcher and you go totally off track with Japan. Greedy, sad to see this, thinking of never following the project anymore.
Seems like this is just a shameless cash-grab. It puts me off backing the main campaign when so much effort is spent on DLC and side projects for a game that doesn't even exist yet and we haven't had a chance to play.
I don't understand. Why doing this ? Good visuals but we wan't Witcher content not "Geralt in Japan". Come on I love your work I'm willing to pay a lot for Witcher board games but those 2 add-ons are not what I expected.
Jezus, instead of putting more layers of depth and complexity into the base game, you guys opted for more add-ons :( Its basically a cope of the core game with just different graphics and even more minies and off-course a higher overal pricetag if your a completionist. This is what bloating a game is called. The core mechanics are still super easy and way to simple.
I love this stand alone expansion, the final mat is realy bad, Its hard to see for the eyes, the prototipe version game mat is much nicer. I love the miniatures as well. Can we play this like 6people? or like 2-2-2person?
You almost make me in but why, in all this mature Japanese reskin, you used gay manga graphics instead of stylized on traditional feudal Japan arts like Rising Sun did once? I'm staying with just core game and wild hunt addon. From my grown up human point of view Ronin looks like beautiful conception butchered by kiddo manga on cards 🤢 Whyyyy?? :(((
