Hepzibar Smith collected valuable things and was a regular customer at Borgin and Burkes. She was the owner of Hufflepuffs cup and Slytherins locket. Tom Riddle was sent to her house whiles in the employee of Borgin and Burke's to butter her up for sale. He murdered her and made her house elf take the blame. It's from that houseelf's memory Harry and Dumbledore experience this in the pensive.
@@anival9576 it’s not supposed to be a “powder”. If you paid attention to the books and movies (for once they did get it right) it’s supposed to like a chunk so that you can carry it with you then throw when you need to. If it was “powder” you’d be needing to carry a jar which makes no sense.
Correct me if Im wrong, but I think the candle is a nod to the love potion. When Harry smells it he can smell orange blossoms that remind him of Ginny or the Weasley House.
6:00 is Hepzibah Smith when she has the locket and cup. Tom Riddle went after her for those and i think those are the words she used while talking to him.
Actually two days later, after Tom Riddle visited her, she was found dead; a lethal and little known poison was found mixed with her cocoa. Riddle was never suspected; Hepzibah's house-elf, Hokey, actually confessed to having mistaken the poison for sugar, but we don’t know what happened to Hokey after that.
I know that you probably won’t do this, BUT I would really enjoy if you did an updated bookshelf tour! I watched the last one about a thousand times. PLEASE do this! Lysm✌🏼💖
I could only go with one box this year and it was the Wizarding Trunk. Not only is this box made by real fans, they listen to their customers, communicate and talk to us, and IMO the boxes are just getting better and better! Is everything perfect? No but what other box would give you darkness and a holiday record! Thats fan love! Well the Wizarding trunk and Cherrys box with GG if she keeps making them!
The pin is a reference to Hepzibah Smith, who claimed to be a descendent of Helga Hufflepuff and was in possession of Hufflepuff’s Cup and Slytjerins Locket, which she showed Tom Riddle who later on killed her and used her death to make a horcrux.
Cherry: ooh this candle is divine *smells candle, then closes it* ....... *screws it open* Yes i love this .... *closes it* ...... *SCREWS IT OPEN* 😂😂😂
Hmm. Couple of spelling errors on the Acromantula Venom bottle. I could see 'em. "Humanely" was spelled "humanly" on the bottle (so that wasn't Cherry's fault) and they misspelled "acromantula" as "acromantual" in the second occurrence of the word on the label.
I think the earmuffs are a reference to how sassy the car with being during the whole Forbidden Forest situation and rightfully so poor thing got jumped so i think it is kind of funny
The darkness power is actually called carberundum. It’s a carbon based mineral. It was discovered in Arizona in the late 1800s when miners tried to make diamonds using electricity and this was the outcome 😊 I sell this in my crystal shop.
Hezibar Smith (Pin) collected valuble items and was a regular customer at Borgin and Burkes where Tom iddle used to work. He would often get sent to her house with offeres from Mr.Burke and one day when he went on his usual run when she showed him the Hufflepuff cup and Slytherin's locked. She was distantly desended to Helga and she got the locket from Borgin and Burkes. A few days later Tom stole the items, killed her, and added a memory to the houseelf Hokey, so she confessed to the murder. Also I absoulutely love your videos and I always look forward to new ones!!!!
Okay I can really see why the halfblood prince is your favourite book but favourite movie?! The one where they cut out all the best bits and left us with two and a half hours of cringy romance? Have you even seen the prisoner of Azkaban?! Lol jk everyone can like whatever they want. ^^
It’s from the pensive Tom riddle visits her after meeting at the shop he works In and she has the hufflepuff cup I believe and I think he kills her for it xx
Cherry I don't believe that the "low resolution" that are these art prints are actually pixels, but they are a texture brush used in whichever digital art program they are using (most likely photoshop) that is made to simulate paint on canvas!
Also re: the scene you couldnt remember... it's when Dumbledore takes Harry into one of the memories in the pensieve and they watch Tom Riddle visit Hepzibah Smith (I think her name was) to see Hufflepuff's Cup. Hepzibah is this old lady who is all pouty-flirting with Tom like "*simper simper* I'm going to start thinking you're only here for my trinkets *pout pout*"
This video was full of a lot of oohs and ahs, and warm sensations. Your bathroom will be quite happy with the candle burning and the nice scents wafting through while your skin will be revived.......
The pin is in reference toone of the memories in the pensive that about Voldemort. When Tom Riddle goes to the gal's house to get the locket back after his mother sold it but then he also claims the Hufflepuff cup as his prize as well. It is assumed he used this woman to create the cup horcrux.
You are saving my life Cherry. I’m getting back from holiday and I was dying because I was too bored until your video showed up in my notifications. I’m a happy not bored witch now.
Half-blood Prince is one of my all time favourites!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️ The Peruvian instant darkness powder is sooooo beautiful!! Lucky you🥺😎😁...but I got sad thinking of poor Aragog 😢🕷️🕸️but your impersonation of prof Slughorn made me happy again thank you for that! 😁 I can almost smell the Ginny candle🕯️ yay for the Slug club!! You have to wear it!! Thank you for your epic videos! Always making us happy 😎😁 the earmuffs on the car reminds me of when Ron has his ear muffs on in the movie!! 🤯
Wizarding Trunk put's out a cool Year 6 Box after that "Garbage" Advent Calendar they had the nerve to charge $106 dollars for! We would have been better off buying two of Cherry's Christmas Box's instead of buying that AC! They really rooked us good along with a lot of other people and they refused to address it! Thank You Cherry for giving us quality items!!! You've got 5 votes from our house for The Shorty Award! We are voting every day! Good Luck!
For me, the drawback of this box and some of the others would be the candles, bath products, or teas. I'm just too picky and my body just too sensitive to stuff on my skin and smells that most of them would be a waste for me. I think that is part of the reason I've never subscribed to any subscription boxes. I do have fun watching you open them though, I guess I just live vicariously through you. I think my favorite part of this box was the instant darkness powder, it was just something very different that I haven't seen in a box before.
@@harrypotterfan1623 It's the swirling motion the makes it magic. If the liquid is too thick, I don't think it would have the same motion. You might have to stir it with a spoon, and the powder would soon precipitate out and sink to the bottom.
The scene of the pin is when Tom Riddle works for Borgin and Burkes, he goes often to see Hepzibah Smith because she's an antique collector : Riddle is indeed after her trinkets, he wants the Hufflepuff cup and Salazar's locket, which she both possesses. Then he kills her...
Tom worked in borgin and burkes and she was the regular customer that had some interesting stuff that he went to go and see (one of the memories from dumbledors pensive)
Ps. The instant darkness powder is a mineral called iridescent silicon carbide aka carborumdum. :) I see alot of people asking what it is and jumped at the chance to have Dustin put a real crystal/mineral in the box 🤭🥰
It's from a memory Dumbledore took Harry into in the penseive, from Hokey the house elf who belonged to Hepzibah Smith. Tom Riddle, fresh out of Hogwarts and employed at Burgin & Bourkes was sent to visit her regularly with a view to persuading her to sell her treasures to the dark arts shop. On this instance Tom got straight to the point and Hepzibah said "Now now Tom, not so fast or I'll think you're only here for my trinkets". Which, of course he was. He killed her and stole the locket and cup, which he subesquently made into horcruxes, then planted a false memory in Hokey so that she admitted to accidentally putting poisin rather than sugar in Hepzibah's tea, which killed her. Dumbledore was able to extract the memory of Tom's visit from Hokey just before she died.
I know why the Ford Anglia had the earmuffs! It's because the car appears in The Chamber Of Secrets and in the herbology lesson, the students were dealing with Mandrakes so they needed earmuffs to protect their ears.
The lady on the pin is Hepzibah Smith. Tom Riddle stole the Hufflepuff Cup and the Diadem of Ravenclaw from Hepzibah. Harry and Dumbledore saw this in the memory scenes.
that scene is in the fan made film about the search for lord voldermort during the first wizarding world, starting from his brith to his first death. that scene where we meet the antique women who sells her items at her old age to the dark wizard shop, and he kills her and takes the cup.
Teacher: we are done for the day you can do what ever... Me: I guess I can do math😞 Also me: looks at phone and sees Cherry Wallis. Again me: math can wait!
"The potter collector" was very critical to the hip flask. But honestly, the majority of people who get these boxes are adults, and if you're really thinking about it, there's loads of things that aren't appropriate for kids in these boxes, lots of things that look edible but really aren't, or simply things that kids would find boring in general. Just the fact that all the wearables are sized for adults, not kids, shows that the boxes are directed to adults. And older kids/teenagers who appreciates all Harry potter related things, would probably just appreciate the collectable. I just don't think it's so bad to have a hip flask in the box and I guess it kind of bugged me how TPC was so critical to it 😅
Hey there! If you are a tad worried about your potions shelf "overflowing", you could move the darkness powder to the Weasley shelf. I think it was one of their products they gifted to Harry for getting them started. The pin is when Tom works at Borgin & Burkes to get access to famous magical artifacts and this lady had Helga Hufflepuff's cup.
oh my goodness i swear this is true, when you held up the box; now keep in mind all the ones i know (my friends and fam) dont get these boxes nor do i search these boxes myself, i always wait for your unboxings; but when you held up that box i just knew there would be spider venom in there, to be fair i thought you had that already on your shelf, but i said to myself "she has that spider venom in that box"!!
I love potions and potions ingredients too so I really loved the potions and the instant darkness powder.. also the T-shirt.. if you're going to do one, that's the easiest way to make it wearable for most people cos not many want elaborate designs especially if they aren't fond of the colours so a slogan is always cool.. don't get me wrong some elaborate designs are awesome.. but its a personal taste thing, if the design is in fuschia and someone doesn't like fuschia or something they aren't going to like it.. this way most will like it.. also that scrub the way you described it I could smell it and I do love me some orange blossom so anything with it immediately a love.. strong box!!!!!!
I wish that scene in the book was in the movies as well. I really enjoyed seeing the memories and flashbacks in the film's. It really helped build the characters and it really shows the depth of Tom riddles character
no the woman pen is the woman voldemort murdered, because she is holding slytherin's locket and the hufflepuff cup. i i love you too ur videos!!!❤️❤️❤️
The pin was the hepsizar smith who Tom was trying to make an improved price for the goblin made armour for borgin and burke's and she shows Him the locket and the goblet. She has an elf called hokey but hokey "poisoned her evening cocoa"
The low-res art pieces could be used in scrapbooking or as part of a collage. The Slug Club tee needs some art to be perfect. The font is boring by itself. Nice green, though. The Luna sticker is cute. I'd use it in a journal or as a bookmark.
