Not true. It is exactly like the Post Office. The only reason the WNBA still exists is that it is heavily subsidized by the NBA and has been for the last 26 years (yet, they constantly harangue about income equality to the NBA). This has allowed them to build the LGBTQIA, anti-American, pro-BLM, pro-Marxist, hedonistic culture that they want. To cut down on costs all 12 teams should play at 1 location each week. That way, instead of 12 charter planes per week, youre cutting it down to 2 or 3 planes per week. That would probably cut transpo down to $4 mill per season. I also have a way to pay that $4 mill without increading the cost to the WNBA. Someone from the league office should reachout for that info. 🤘
It is a business and hasn’t been profitable but it isn’t run like a normal business cause the nba picks up there tab. It’s why they’ve never been profitable and haven’t gone out of business yet. How much money is the nba will to put out for the wnba is the question. The nba seems fine with picking up the tab for $10-$20 million a year but now they are down $50 million even with a huge influx of fans and sold out stadiums. If they get to $100 million down a year the nba might say something about it or threaten to not pay anymore.
So spending is higher than cash flow. It's like having a gf who spends like crazy on the credit card. You can maintain both you and her lifestyle on a budget, but she decides she wants more, so she spends more no matter how many times you tell her to stop. #divorce wnba

It’s a business, it doesn’t make sense to keep going if it’s not making money. I understand it’s not my personal money, but it makes no logical sense. It’s not a charity or a nonprofit. It’s entertainment and it’s not making money.
