This documentary, produced by North One is 2007, explores the psychological features of five individual cases of infant abduction, a crime that is getting more and more violent in the US. #documentary #northone
I was told at a young age I wouldn’t be able to have children. My heart broke. Never once did it cross my mind to steal someone else’s baby! The pain of not being able to have one is nothing compared to a pregnant mother losing her child and possibly her own life. Some of these women do this not because they want a child but they are trying to keep their partner by saying they are pregnant and keep the lie going until they have to get a child. Stealing a pregnant woman’s baby to keep their man is the most evil act ever. Adopt a child.
Caroline, I have 2 babies mid 40s…I can share! I lost my first baby 48 years ago, after birth; still think about her and cry…I am sorry about your wishes, hopes and sorrows!! Be well dear
Like My neighbours for example : they tried Many TREATMENTS, none of them worked. They decided to adopt first a little girl, 3 years later a little boy. 2 years after that she was NATURALLY PREGNANT!!! I guess the psychological pressure of concieving was off and the miracle happened.
I totally get being desperate for a baby. I tried for 12 years on and off and i remember the feeling of hopelessness. I would watch true crime shows and a lot of times its POS parents hurting/killing their kids and i would wonder why they got a kid to abuse but i didn't get one to love. In 2018 i finally had my miracle baby ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤AAAAAAMMMMEEEEENNNN GOD IS GOOD. Where are them that talked on you??? Let them come on out here and say something. God bless your heart my dear, even now with money we have kids even without father. 🙏 and money does it all. ❤
What does that have to do with abducting a child 😒 I guess you're trying to justify this behavior because you watching true crime on cases of child abuse should be a reason to you snatching someone else's baby 🤔
@@shyna5672 personally i said what i said and i have every right to feel that way. its called grief. everyone grieves different . i would never act on it though . but i had ro be honest .
I was the same way while pregnant, especially of women "the same gestation" as me. I watch too many crime shows lol. Made my husband promise to not let baby out of his sight at the hospital as well
@@marlenelindsey7638 Oh come on. I know this is a frightening thing to imagine, but the times it actually happens are vanishingly rare!! Women have babies constantly, everywhere, and shutting out the rest of the world "just in case" is a paranoid and absolutely bonkers thing to do. Pregnant women have showers and momma baby groups all the time and find friends, emotional and mental support, and can help each other out. Look how common post natal depression and post natal psychosis are. Your chances of those are far greater than a nutcase murdering you to steal your baby. Shutting out the entire world but for immediate family? Absolute isolation, no socialising, no outside support network? You think that's a good thing? Because you might be the one special case where a nutcase plans to murder you and take your child. The thought to "trust no one", especially based on the idea that this scenario is likely and that all other people are evil has tipped over to the point of certifiable mental illness that needs treatment.
Oh, I understand but where I live they put you in touch with other moms who have babies the same age as yours. It's thru the council and they've had babies so it's pretty safe and facilitated in a council room for a while. Those other moms are some of my best friends, 10yrs later.
Hold those babies close momma. The world can be so incredibly evil. We walk past on the street. I’ve had some studies that say people walk past 30 to 40 murderers in their life just down the street without ever knowing…. Most of the time nobody blinks an eye at the people that end up going on to hurt their kiddos. I mean most often times it is someone very close to them or the mother:,( sending love, light and protection to you and your family🖤
Naver trust no one with your children and very carefully where you go with your children because woman like that they still around the world its sad how some people don't the heart to kill or hurt some one for a bady or kids they don't have a heart period😢
I remember watching the Movie/Story about Carlina's abduction. These Abductors are So Scary. It's like they are REALLY CRAZY and Anything Goes with/for Them. SMH 😒😏
I was in cook county jail with that woman who took that fetus. Very grotesque stuff. That was 29 years ago. I remember the other girls telling me what she did wow. I am glad my life has changed from that time so many years ago.
The first lady in this documentary, Joy Smith, left me in tears and disbelief. Joy carried that baby for 9 months inside of her body, she 'knew' that baby's heart beat and felt her movements before birth. Then to have her stolen from her, I just cannot fathom that pain. And, at the time of this podcast, her now grown baby has still never been found? Joy still suffers, every day, and probably will for the rest of her life.
Lil Eli 😢 such a beautiful lil boy he’s perfect he’s mother is looking down from heaven upon her two beautiful children. & Karlina hope Joy will reunite with her child. & all abducted children be returned to their true home .
Those baby registers must be more secure. I realize that some people send the gift to the expecting mother, but there has to be a way to block the mother's address. Just choose to ship gift, but do not ever expose the address.
I think it just showed the town & state, but from there, Katie was able to look her up in the white pages since they lived in the same area. Phone books made it a lot easier to get people's addresses back in the day 😬
I read the book of the one woman who's infant was taken from her stomach and murdered along with her daughter, the poor boy saw all of it, was taken and then later murdered also, that was years ago and i still break out in a cold sweat
Many Americans have a great sense of entitlement and think they are infallible. Some people are desperate and needy and very dangerous. Babies are highly valued here in America. So it is a matter of culture, entitlement, and sociopathic personalities.
Absolutely it’ll never enter my head that thought . I know some women find it painful looking at babies etc… but surely training in a job to be able to work and care for newborns and infants, so much more rewarding. My two are in their 20’s I’m waiting for them to have children . It has however crossed my mind to foster teens , especially teens with special needs . Love all children but special needs teens is my calling
@@Taylor23890I encourage and I incite you to do just that. Most teenagers with disabilities do not get adopted out ever so it’s nice for them to have a good foster family that will stay in contact with them when they go on to adulthood. You obviously have such a kind heart to be considering such a thing. It would literally save some lives that’s for sure. Your kiddos must be proud to have a mom like you, just from the little I know.
The only one I know that received DP was Lisa Montgomery who killed Mary Jo Stinett. The 2 women were both dog breeders. Mary Jo was from Skidmore, Missouri. The only good thing about this tragedy was the the baby survived and was found very quickly. Lisa Montgomery had several children before.
Well Carlina White was eventually found...and she was reunited with her mom.and dad.... Carlina got pregnant at 16 and needed her info for prenatal care....thats when everything.hit the fan and she found out about the abduction and everything else❤
Giving birth can be a risk in itself . But to have someone purposefully cut your baby out is next level . So many women want kids but can’t . I’m sure they aren’t going around stealing babies . It’s other ways
Wow to kill children and their mother all for your own selfish & evil gain is beyond the most terrible and evil thing I’ve heard of! God protect those boys and their grandpa always🙏🏽
It’s so sad to kill for a baby or K a baby I’ve always wanted to be a mother I’ve watched all my childhood friends have babies and now have grandchildren I’ve never once thou of taking someone else’s baby am now as I’m up in age I still want to be a mother that’s every young woman’s dream to feel YOUR baby growing inside of you that’s the closest bond ever I lost my mother when I was 18 as I said before I still want to be a mom but some times I say no because I was my momma’s baby her only baby and I feel so lost without my mom and I don’t want my baby asking where his or her grandma it’s kind of hard for me explaining where my mom is cause I pains my heart, my heart goes out to every woman who’s baby was kidnapped I’m so very sorry
@@user-pz3ug8jq3u and I strongly believe it I do have GOD children and when my god son was 2 he said to me you not gonna love me if you have your own baby and I had to reassure him I will always love you just because I may have my own baby doesn’t change the way I love you an how I feel you will always be my baby even when you become an adult I will never stop loving you
I knew a girl who did this!!!!!!! She grabbed a pusher with a baby in it when the mother was getting her other child out on the other side of the car and ran down the street. She was charged with something but I stopped being her friend!!!!!!!!!!!! She was absolutely batsh*t crazy (& I can't believe I knew someone who perpetrated this type of crime!! 😱)
This is every mother & fathers worst nightmare! The physical torture isn’t even as harrowing as the psychological torture of wondering & worrying!! The only silver lining is that almost all of these abductions don’t involve murder! These women want a baby as their own and usually it’s because they’re trying to keep a man in their life. However they typically have no intention on hurting the babies! At least physically. If murder does occur it’s by mistake during a fetal abduction by a crude Caesarean section. I didn’t even take our babies out of the home until they were well over a month of course that had some to do with Italian traditions. Unless it was a doctors appointment. My husband & I bought the DNA Kit from the Center Of Missing & Exploited Children, we did our babies hand & feet prints, cut their nails, a piece of their hair and a little cheek swab and sent it in. And we always had their photos taken and laminated on the cards as well. Needless to say we took every per-caution we could out of sheer fear really! We figure better to be safe than sorry. My heart aches for these women 💔
They found a girl that was taken from the hospital when she was born to teenage parents . She was found when she was 16 & asked her “abductor mom for her birth certificate & the mom told her . She ended up going to prison & the girl loved her & saw her as mom .. when they reunited with real parents she didn’t feel a bond with them . She was on the show Iyala fix my life her name is Alexis (the name her kidnapper gave her ) That story was interesting how she loved her kidnapper after knowing what she had done . She did live a good life thankfully but she missed her siblings & parents for almost 2 decades ….
@christihalliday5370 sad thing is this woman didn't even complete her full sentence and walks in society in her old age with very lil penalty. All those years she stole with her deception. Poor Carlina her father, mother, and any siblings as well as extended family who endured the years lost, the stress and trauma as well as the lack of trust as a result.
Can anyone help me find footage of another case of fetal abduction survivors? The footage and interviews are in Spanish and there is an English dubbed episode available. A woman in I believe South America was drugged in the rainforest or jungle beside her younger daughter by another woman. She woke up and her daughter was crying that “they took the baby” and she managed to survive and was reunited with her husband. The woman who drugged her took the baby back to her Pueblo and claimed that the baby belonged to an old lover who no longer wanted anything to do with her and neighboring citizens, after hearing about the nearby woman’s gruesome case , reported the kidnapper and she was arrested. She is interviewed in jail still claiming that she was forced by the victim to do a cesarían with a knife and was only trying to help the victim to had told her she couldn’t care for another child. The jail is green or teal and the inmate has long black hair. Can anyone provide their names, articles, or a link to the episode/interview, please?
I've had a child and my 💜 would shatter if that had ever occurred to him. There was one time that he cannot be found for a brief period because a neighbor picked him up without even telling me.
The one in Kentucky was on a TV episode for my man. I remember it cuz the lady kept acting like they name Sarah Brady was the exact same but that wasn't true. She was trying to steal her baby from jump smdh 😞😮😢
I think this is really old because I believe she was found maybe almost 10 years ago. I think she tried to sign up for college but they said they needed a birth certificate. IIRC she gave up but would regularly search missing children until one day she seen a baby that looked like her and called it in.
